"That was amazing!"

The little girl stared at Satoshi, her eyes sparkling with admiration. She looked at Charmander and Froakie, impressed by their seamless teamwork.

"Brother, you're incredible. You're a Trainer, right?"

"Ah, yes, just a Rookie Trainer," Satoshi replied modestly, looking at the little girl.

It was hard for him to believe that this seemingly ordinary child was the future Pokédex owner—a legendary figure among the original inhabitants of the game world.

"But it makes sense. The future is still far off. She's just an 11 or 12-year-old girl now. The Pokémon Alliance's rules state that someone must be at least 15 to officially become a Trainer," Satoshi thought to himself.

"Right now, she's just an ordinary kid."

Still, Satoshi knew that even the greatest figures started from humble beginnings.

Meanwhile, the girl was also deep in thought.

"Why does this Guy feel so familiar? It's like... he has the same power as me. Could it be..."

She looked at Satoshi with a mix of curiosity and fondness.

> "Ding! Player 'Satoshi' has encountered 'healer' Cynthia. Cynthia, sensing the Power of Evergreen in you, has increased her favorability toward you."

Satoshi raised an eyebrow.

He had known from his previous life that Cynthia possessed the Power of Evergreen. It was, in fact, her reveal of this ability that had brought its existence into public knowledge. However, he hadn't expected her to detect the same power in him and grow fond of him because of it.

"By the way, my name is Cynthia John. Thank you for helping me just now. If it weren't for you, I might have been dragged into the river," she said, scratching her head with a shy smile.

Satoshi couldn't help but grin.

"She even shared her full name. That means she already trusts me. That's a good sign," he thought.

There weren't many people with surnames in this world, and Satoshi only knew of a few, making Cynthia's introduction feel all the more significant.

"Alright then, I'll call you Cynthia. My name is Satoshi."

As he introduced himself, Satoshi took a moment to observe her.

Her golden hair gleamed under the sunlight, her petite frame looked delicate, and her face, though still childish, was finely sculpted like a doll's. It was clear she would grow into a stunning beauty in the future.

"Then I'll call you Satoshi. Satoshi, can you open that Poké Ball? I want to see the Goldeen you caught."

Cynthia's voice was hesitant, and her cheeks flushed slightly as she made her request.

"Of course, but it's still frozen. Are you sure you want to see it like that?"

Satoshi was here for her hidden mission, so he wasn't about to deny her a simple request.

He opened the Poké Ball, releasing the frozen Goldeen onto the ground.

Cynthia immediately trotted over to it, crouched down, and placed her hands on the icy Pokémon. Her hands began to emit a faint green glow as she closed her eyes in concentration.

Under her touch, the ice began to thaw, and the Goldeen's injuries healed rapidly.

"She's using the Power of Evergreen. It's almost identical to how I use it, but she seems to need more focus. It's probably because she's still young and hasn't fully mastered the ability," Satoshi thought, watching her closely.

He wasn't surprised by her actions. He already knew Cynthia was extraordinarily kind and one of the most approachable Pokédex owners.

However, he felt the need to give her some advice.

"Cynthia, this power is called the Power of Evergreen, right? It's a wonderful gift, but you should be cautious. Don't use it openly in front of strangers unless you're confident in your strength."

His tone was serious. He knew the risks all too well. If the wrong people learned of her abilities, it could bring her trouble.

"The Power of Evergreen? So that's what it's called," Cynthia said, her eyes lighting up. " Satoshi, do you have this power too?"

Satoshi smiled and nodded.

"I knew it! My instincts weren't wrong. Don't worry, Satoshi. I'll listen to you. I won't use this power in front of strangers anymore," she said earnestly.

Cynthia had always been able to sense emotions, and she could feel Satoshi's genuine concern for her. Coupled with the shared connection of their powers, she trusted him implicitly.

> "Ding! Cynthia noticed your kindness and increased her favorability toward you!"

"Ding! Cynthia's favorability has reached 'trust'!"

It's done!

Satoshi clenched his fists in triumph.

Hidden Mission Trigger Condition: Reach the trust level with Cynthia.

Although Satoshi genuinely cared for Cynthia, his main goal was still to unlock her hidden mission. Thankfully, the two objectives aligned perfectly.

"By the way, Satoshi, your Pokémon are amazing!"

"It's nothing. We're just starting out. But, Cynthia, I believe you have the potential to become an incredible Trainer yourself," Satoshi said, smiling at her admiration.

As she gazed at his Pokémon with awe, Satoshi couldn't help but feel a mix of pride and unease.

"You're impressed by my Pokémon now, but in the future, you'll be one of the strongest Trainers in the world. You'll take down someone who's a Dragon Elite in name but a Flying Champion in practice... I've got a long way to go."
