Pokemon: These Players are too annoying!

Chapter 56: Gyarados

In the bathroom...

Lukas is unconscious, and in his mind, a voice suddenly appears.

'Remember, dying is Gay.'

"Yes, Mother."

'Wait, I'm not your mothe—'

Lukas suddenly stands up, though his mind is still a bit dizzy. He starts walking like a drunk person.

*thump thump thump thump*

Misty's heart is pounding as she stares at her own Pokémon, fear and trauma written all over her face. Gyarados stares back, making her more and more terrified.

'No, I can't take it anymore!'

She gasps for breath. Gyarados' red eyes look at her for a moment, then it turns its head toward Team Rocket.

"OH CRAP?! It's Gyarados!"

"Awesome! I didn't expect this Pokémon to be here! Hurry, catch it, Meowth!"

"I'm afraid... it might be a bit difficult. It's too big."

As Team Rocket is talking, a roar echoes through the gym, making everything around them turn darker. The players have to cover their ears, while Red glances at Gyarados and then at Misty.

He immediately rushes over to Misty, who is kneeling and gasping for air. He grabs her shoulders and shakes her hard.

Misty is sweating, and she turns to Red with fear in her eyes. Seeing that Misty isn't moving, Red is forced to pick her up and carry her far away from Gyarados and Team Rocket.

A drop of water lands on Yuna's head.

"Huh?" Yuna looks up, only to see dark clouds gathering overhead. More and more raindrops start falling, faster and faster.

It's raining.

Gyarados' eyes are filled with murderous intent, glaring at Team Rocket as if they were prey.

"Why do I feel like Gyarados is about to unleash something terrible??" James nervously asks the others.

"Don't worry, we've prepared for this. After all, we're breaking into the Gym Leader's gym, so of course, they have a super strong Pokémon," Meowth explains.

Suddenly, Gyarados let out a terrifying roar, turning everything around it into a powerful storm.

"Hurricane?!" Brock exclaimed as he watched Gyarados create the storm.

Amazingly, it didn't need its trainer's command to unleash such moves! Hurricane is a super strong Flying-type move, but its weakness is its accuracy, which is only 70%.

However, when combined with rain, that accuracy is thrown out the window because it will always hit its target.

Which means...

The potential of Hurricane had risen to 120% since the rain started!

The storm sent everything flying, including the players, and it was aimed straight at Team Rocket.

"AGHHHHH!!"

"MY CLOTHES ARE FLYING OFF!!"

"THIS IS MY DREAM COME TRUE!!"

The players were soaring through the air like birds, especially Bob, who was almost naked.

However, Team Rocket wasn't so easily beaten.

Meowth pressed another red button, causing the robot to generate an energy shield around itself.

Hurricane slammed into it along with several players, but the energy shield held firm.

Some players crashed into the shield, with a few of them even breaking teeth.

But Hurricane was so strong that the robot was pushed back a full 10 meters.

"Although we blocked it, that attack was a bit too powerful..." Jessie sighed with relief.

"I thought its special attack wasn't that high?" James said, confused as he stared at Gyarados.

Meanwhile, Red looked at Gyarados in disbelief.

'Misty... what kind of monster did you just unleash?!'

[Gyarados (Alpha) lv 78

I mean, how does Gyarados have stats this insane?! It's even more overpowered than I imagined!

Surprisingly, Team Rocket was still standing—whatever technology they were using was really something else.

"Meowth! Show that Gyarados that Team Rocket can't be underestimated!"

"Yeaaa!!"

The robot charged forward, attempting to punch Gyarados. But the punch didn't seem to affect Gyarados at all.

It continued glaring at the robot before whipping it hard with its tail.

"Dragon Tail?!"

"Brock, can you stop announcing Gyarados' moves?!"

"Oh, sorry, force of habit."

The two giants clashed like titans, each blow creating gusts of wind so strong that Red's hat was about to fly off.

Gyarados roared again, gathering icy energy in its mouth before firing it at the robot's legs, freezing them solid.

"Ice Beam?!"

"Brock! Shut up!"

Meowth pressed another button, and a burst of heat radiated out, melting the ice.

Team Rocket was truly determined to capture these Pokémon this time.

Seeing the battle drag on, Red glanced at Pikachu, who was trembling, hiding inside his bag. Pikachu noticed Red's eyes on him and spoke up.

"Pika pika!" (Red! Let's run away! This battle is way too much for us!)

Red, realizing what he had to do, took off his hat and placed it on Pikachu's head.

[Pikachu transformed into Cap Pikachu! The move Pika Papow is now available!]

"Pika?!" (Red?!)

Red and Pikachu locked eyes, their bond growing even stronger. Pikachu looked at Red, seeing his unwavering determination.

"...Pikapi." (Just this once...)

The reason Pikachu had been so scared was that she was worried about Red.

She could be reckless, but when it came to Red's safety, she was willing to throw away her pride and dignity to protect him.

As for the others? Meh, she didn't really care.

But if Red's command was to protect, she had no choice but to do it, no matter how much she disliked it.

Pikachu darted in front of the two towering opponents, appearing like nothing more than an ant in comparison.

But if she were just an ordinary ant, she wouldn't be standing here now.

Red's red eyes gleamed brightly, and for some reason, Pikachu's eyes also glowed red, mirroring her trainer's.

Bond!

Red gave the command, and Pikachu leaped into the air, electricity crackling around her.

The dark clouds above suddenly rumbled, as if a thunder dragon was lurking within them, ready to be unleashed.

Pika Papow!

As Pikachu unleashed her electric energy, it shot straight into the dark clouds above.

Then, four bolts of lightning struck the robot from the clouds.

Team Rocket was shocked—despite having equipped their robot with anti-electricity features, the attack still did damage. And then, a final, massive bolt of lightning shot directly into the robot, creating a pillar of light that illuminated all of Cerulean City, drawing the attention of many.

"WHAT THE HECK?! HOW IS IT ABLE TO DAMAGE US?!" James stared in disbelief at Pikachu.

"JUST AS I THOUGHT! WE MUST CAPTURE IT!" Jessie's eyes gleamed with excitement, her focus solely on Pikachu.

"LOOK OUT!!!" Meowth shouted, drenched in sweat.

James and Jessie turned just in time to see Gyarados in front of them.

"Oh sh—"

Gyarados roared and attacked the robot with Dragon Tail. The combined force of Pikachu's lightning and Gyarados' surprise attack shattered the container holding the Pokémon, causing them to spill out.

"The Pokémon! Quickly, grab them!!"

"My Pokémon!!"

As the players and Red's group retrieved their Pokémon, they all released them and stood facing Team Rocket.

"Damn it! Activate the shield, Meowth!"

"On it!"

But before Meowth could press the button, the dark clouds parted, revealing a golden light that bathed the entire gym. Descending slowly from the sky was a red-haired boy with crystal-clear blue eyes.

"Gomen, Goku."

Everyone looked at the boy in confusion until they realized—it was Lukas.

"I used to hate you, because everyone kept asking, 'But can he beat Goku though?'"

"But now... I feel nothing. I just see how beautiful this world is..."

The golden sunlight shone directly into Lukas' sparkling blue eyes, like glimmering glass.

"Across Heaven and Earth, I'm alone the handsome one."

Lukas smiled and pointed at Team Rocket.

"Get Croconaw and Gible."

"Then combine two different type."

"To harness and unleash the power of friendship."

Both Croconaw and Gible appeared on Lukas' shoulders, gathering energy in their mouths.

"Friendship Technique: Mud"

The two Pokémon fired, water and earth combining together and splattering all over the robot's windshield, completely blinding Team Rocket.

"Damn it! What did that kid just do?!"

"ATTACK!!!!"

Everyone commanded their Pokémon to attack the robot. Overwhelmed by the sheer force of their combined assaults, the robot couldn't withstand the damage and exploded. Despite the explosion, Team Rocket, as usual, survived and was sent flying away.

"THIS FEELS AWFUL!!!"

As they soared into the distance, the spot where they disappeared gleamed like a star before fading.

...

"We won..." Rey said in disbelief.

"WE WONNNN!!!"

"YOOOOOOOOOO!!"

Lukas smiled, but then collapsed to the ground. Dead? No—just unconscious.

Gyarados, observing everyone around it, then turned to look at Misty.

She had fainted during the battle. Gyarados gazed at her gently before returning to its Pokéball.

Red surveyed the aftermath of the battle, then looked down at his wallet.

'They're not going to make me pay for all this damage... right?'

Red prayed he wouldn't have to cover the costs.
