Pokemon: The Orayen Tales

"You are too slow, Chopper." Aizen taunted his Pokémon, who was trying its hardest to land a punch on him.

Sabrina, who was currently disguised as Ilene, was sitting against an Aura Crystal, reading something on her PokeNav+.

She was not paying any attention to their spar, and in her lap was the Prince's Shiny Shix, who was excitedly watching the duel.

Electabuzz, Wartortle, Scyther, Vulpix, Rhydon, Golbat, and Nidoran were intently watching their battle, but Bulbasaur was soundly asleep on top of the Alpha Onix, who was resting as well.

It was nearly noon, and both Aizen and Sabrina had returned from the Morning Session of the 10th Day of the Annual Games, where 'Queen Ilene' stayed only for an hour and then excused herself, leaving the representatives of Indigo Council in charge.

It was quite a funny sight when Arlo was asked to oversee the games, and the man had no room to refuse when the 'Queen' herself made the request.

"Come on, Chopper. Not even a hit?" Aizen taunted his Pokémon again, who geared up with the Close Combat, but was still unable to catch its Master, whose body was covered in his Blue Aura, and whose eyes were exuding a purple hue.

To make it worse for him, the Orayen Prince suddenly blasted him away with an invisible slap, which made the Pokémon groan.

"Now, Focus." Aizen stopped and gave the command, and the Fighting Pokémon, who had just got back on its feet, immediately closed its eyes.

Several seconds later, Machoke drew back his right fist, which slammed into the Psychic Shield that his Trainer had constructed, crushing it into pieces.

"That was awesome, Chopper!"

Hearing the praise from its Trainer, the Fighting Pokémon flexed his muscles.

"Okay. Show me your Ice Punch now."

....

"Thunder Punch."

....

"Ice Punch."

....

"Brick Break."

....

"Rolling Kick."

"Again!"

"Again."

....

"You are lacking power, my Friend. Rolling Kick!"

"Again..."

"Again..."

"Machoke!!!" The Fighting Pokémon, who was panting heavily, suddenly spun around again and delivered a devastating kick on the Psychic Shield, which finally shattered.

For a moment, even Machoke could not believe that he had finally done it, and when the realisation settled in, his body started shining.

Sabrina raised her head and looked in its direction, and all the Pokémon in the surroundings did the same.

Hidden in the light, Chopper's figure started growing, reaching nearly six and a half in height, and then two new arms protruded out of him.

When the blinding light subsided, there newly evolved Machamp flexed all four of its biceps, and then let out a battle cry to the skies.

Wartortle immediately ran up to its friend, and the rest of the Pokémon followed suit.

Sabrina also called out her own Machamp, who immediately congratulated Chopper and then even invited him to a friendly spar.

Aizen proudly looked at his Pokémon, who now stood taller than him, and the two shared a nod.

Holding back his emotions, he walked over to Sabrina and started preparing lunch for everything.

Suddenly, he received a call on his PokeNav+, and seeing that it was Anira, he smiled and picked it up.

"Hey..."

"Thank you!!!"

Leaf had tears in her eyes as she held onto an adorable little Eevee, which was the Birthday Gift that Anira and he had given to her.

"Happy Birthday, Leaf." He smiled back at her, and she nodded her head, letting her tears fall, and then planted a kiss on her Eevee's head.

"Pika pi!"

A cute voice sounded out from behind her, and Leaf quickly turned the camera to the the two Pikachu, who were happily playing around.

Aizen quickly recognised Ritchie's Pikachu, but then laughed when he understood who the second one was.

"Congratulations!"

"Thank you." The Girl from Pallet Town beamed a smile at him and then gasped when he showed her Machamp, who was having a spar with Sabrina's Machamp. "Awesome!"

Chopper was always tall, but Leaf was quite shocked that it had grown so tall upon its evolution. The standard height of a Machamp was usually around five and a half feet, but Chopper was as tall as Machamp could be.

The two chatted for a while, and the girl informed Aizen about her plans for the Birthday Party.

Anira too entered the room and quickly requested him to show Shix to her, and the two girls gushed at the sight of it as they saw it resting in the lap of the 'Cameran Queen'.

No one, except for Cynthia, Joseph, Anabel, Kidd, Old Jenny, and his Grandmother knew that Sabrina was disguised as Ilene, and the Prince had not even informed his sister about it.

"Have Sky, Aerius, and Diana left?"

"They left in the morning. It's been four hours," answered Anira. "They must be paying around." She giggled.

Aizen nodded to her words and then showed her that he was in the middle of preparing a meal.

The two girls told him to be safe, and as much as Leaf wanted to request him to come and be there for her birthday party tonight, she did not voice it.

Sabrina soon finished the file she was reading and then helped him with the lunch.

It was a couple of hours later in the afternoon when Diana, Aerius, and Sky returned, and Diancie immediately said something to Scyther, which pumped up the Green Mantis.

"Scyther."

Aizen was resting against the aura stone when his Pokémon approached him with a request.

Scyther wanted to battle against the Scyther that Diana had spotted on her way back.

The Orayen Prince raised his brow at the adorable Diancie, who grinned at him.

"He's strong!"

"Really?"

"Yes." Diana nodded her head.

The Prince nodded back to her and then recalled Scyther in his Pokémon.

A short while later, when he arrived over the rocky hills next to the grassland, he soon spotted the Scyther who was sleeping on top of the lone tree.

Around him, dozens of boulders were sliced into pieces, and given its size and colour, it was clear that the Pokémon was around seven to eight years old and quite powerful.

Aizen asked Aerius to stay in the sky, and Diana and Mega Salamence did the same.

They soon found a horde of Scythers, who were sleeping in the grassland, camouflaged, and the lone Scyther on the tree seemed to be their leader.

A couple of hours later, when the sun was on its way to disappear behind the Tree of Beginning, the wild Scyther woke up.

The Pokémon was alarmed when he suddenly sensed the Mege Pidgeot dive down on it but failed to escape as an invisible hand locked him in his place.

The glare he threw Aizen pleased the Prince a lot, but its body trembled in fear when Sky and Diana landed behind him.

"Relax. We are not here to harm you." The Prince gently told the Mantis, and seeing his Aura, the Pokémon calmed down.

"Scy... Scyther?"

Aizen did not answer him but called out his own Scyther, and the Wild Scyther immediately understood why they had come to see him.

"Scyther!"

"Scyther!"

The two Pokémon narrowed their eyes and glared at each other, and the next second, they blurred from their spots.

Since it was a kind of an honour duel between the two, Aizen did not guide his Pokémon and just watched their battle quietly from the side.

At first, both the Pokémon went a little easy and tested each other out, but soon they were hell-bent on cutting each other to pieces.

Diana, as truthful as ever, was right.

The Wild Scyther was strong, very strong, but unfortunately, it was not as well-trained as his Pokémon, who was faster and always had an answer for its attacks.

"Scyther!"

An hour later, when their duel concluded, the Wild Scyther was kneeling, panting heavily, and it was in no position to stop another attack.

"As brilliant as ever, Scyther. Good fight."

"Scy.. Syther..." The Green Mantis walked back to him and stood by his side, immensely pleased by the result.

Aizen curiously looked at the Wild Pokémon, and making up his mind, he approached it.

The Prince opened his Pokedex and then sat down next to the Scyther, who was curiously looking at him.

Aizen showed the Mantis the images of Scizor and Kleavor, and then the images of their Mega Forms.

"I want you to come with me, and if you do, I will help you evolve into either Scizor or Kleavor. You are strong, and I would love to have you on my Team."

"Scyther... Scy." The Pokémon curiously looked at the two images of the Mega Scizor and Mega Kleavor, and seeing his interest, Aizen opened his PokeNav+ and showed him videos of the two Pokémon, fighting and using their signature moves.

His Scyther too joined them, and so did Diana, and the four patiently watched the videos until the light in the sky dimmed.

"Scyther..." The Wild Pokémon had stars in its eyes after it watched a Mega Kleavor defeat a pair of Skarmory, and by the looks of things, he was clearly more interested in slicing things into pieces than smashing them.

"Kleavor, eh?" Aizen smiled when the Green Mantis made its decision.

"Scyther!" It nodded its head, and the two shook hands on the promise.

"Welcome to the Team, Scyther."

The Orayen smiled when the familiar ping sounded out and he picked up the Pokéball to scan it.

[Moves Known: Leer, Pursuit, Quick Attack, Fury Cutter, Slash, Air Slash, Wing Attack, X-Scissor, Night Slash, Close Combat."

"Scyther... Scyther..."

"Yes, he's strong. Not as strong as you, but strong," Aizen nodded his head to his Pokémon's words. "You will help me train him, right?"

"Scyther."

"Thank you."

"Scyther..."

He surprisedly turned to look at the Green Mantis.

"Are you sure?"

"Scyther," It nodded its head, expressing its desire to become a Scizor.

"It's not because Scyther chose to become a Kleavor, is it?" He asked with a smile and his Pokémon shook his head.

"Okay. I will find you a Metal Coat." He promised.

On his way back to the Tree of Beginning, Aizen checked if Metal Coat was available in Pokémon Marts of Kanto, and luckily, it was available at the Grand Celadon Poké Mart as well as the Vermilion City Poké Mart.

Only those two Poké Marts had it.

Aizen debated if he should personally go there or send someone, but soon made up his mind to get it tonight.

Sabrina was waiting for him with the rest of his Pokémon at the Tree of Beginning, and the two returned to Cameran Palace by the time the sky was completely dark.
