The seventh floor of Bell Tower.

Three tombs, one Pokémon—Dusknoir, whose mountain-like body slumbers beneath thousands of golden Buddha's lights.

Three monks sit cross-legged in a triangular formation, trapping Dusknoir. Buddha's light bursts forth from their bodies, and the thousands of Buddhas suspended in the air act as barriers to restrain Dusknoir.

A middle-aged monk notices Chris stepping onto the seventh floor, his expression betraying a mix of relief and hope. "After all these years, a Trainer has finally reached this level."

"Hopefully, this one won't end up like the previous Trainer!" another monk murmurs.

The eldest monk addresses Chris directly. "Young man, are you sure you can defeat it?"

Chris shifts his gaze to Dusknoir.

The Pokémon is massive, its body adorned with red talismans that exude a sinister aura. The talismans, reminiscent of Haunter's charm bracelets, are etched with malice.

Level: Level 70.

This Dusknoir exudes a boss-like presence, far more menacing than Haunter. He suspects it might even be a Totem Pokémon, though it seems more plausible that Dusknoir is a level 70 boss considering the possibility of stronger Pokémon lurking on the eighth and ninth floors. Totem Pokémon usually represent the pinnacle of power in their respective regions.

Chris considers his chances. "I can give it a try," he says, estimating a slim but possible shot at victory—even against a level 70 opponent.

The three monks exchange glances and quickly reach a consensus.

"Then we'll let you try," they agree.

Standing up, the monks withdraw their hands, dispelling their mystical energy. They retreat to the walls of Bell Tower, prepared to intervene if necessary. The golden Buddha lights flicker and shatter, and the slumbering Dusknoir begins to stir.

"Tyranitar, Greninja, use Dark Pulse!"

"Blaziken, use Flamethrower!"

"Gardevoir, use Psychic!"

"Garchomp, use Dragon Pulse!"

Chris wastes no time unleashing a barrage of powerful attacks. Against such a malevolent foe, there's no need for restraint—his Pokémon strike with full force!

For a moment, beams of energy streak through the air toward their target. But just before impact, Dusknoir vanishes.

The energy blasts detonate against the centuries-old Bell Tower, yet the structure remains unscathed. Dusknoir, however, is nowhere to be seen.

"Did it retreat to the spirit world?" Chris wonders aloud. If he were in Dusknoir's position and had just been unsealed, escaping would be a logical move.

"The surrounding spirit space has been blocked by us," the elder monk reassures him. "It can't escape. But be cautious—it could attack from any direction at any moment!"

Hiding in the spirit world to prepare an ambush—it must be using Phantom Force.

Chris regrets not having a Ghost Pokémon of his own to pursue Dusknoir into the spirit world.

"Gardevoir, Future Sight!" Chris commands.

"Garde~" Gardevoir's hands glow as its psychic energy expands. It concentrates, glimpsing visions of imminent events. Suddenly, it points upward.

A massive energy fist, crafted from shadow energy, plummets toward Chris and his Pokémon. It's Dusknoir's Shadow Punch!

Fortunately, Gardevoir's prediction allows them to react in time. With a burst of Moonblast, countless pink meteors collide with the descending fist, neutralizing the immediate threat.

Greninja, Blaziken, and the others seize the opening to launch coordinated counterattacks.

"BOOM!!"

The explosion echoes through the Bell Tower as energy clashes in a fiery spectacle. Despite its immense power as a level 70 boss, Dusknoir struggles to withstand the relentless onslaught.

Immediately, Dusknoir was blasted back.

But even in mid-air, it forced itself upright, preparing to retreat into the spirit world once again.

"Wobbuffet!" Chris called out, releasing his sixth Pokémon.

Chris had swapped his original team member, Steelix, with Professor Birch to level up Wobbuffet. Now, it was Wobbuffet's time to shine.

Against Ghost Pokémon, the biggest fear is their ability to vanish into the spirit world, setting up an unpredictable ambush. However, with Wobbuffet's Encore, Chris had a strategy.

Encore forces the target to repeat its last move for the next three turns in battle. In reality, this effect lasts for a brief but crucial period, depending on the strength difference between the two Pokémon.

Chris didn't need much time—just one second.

And one second would be enough.

"Wobbaaa~!" Wobbuffet greeted with its signature salute, bouncing happily into action.

At Chris's command, it clapped its hands together in a rhythmic, almost theatrical applause.

Dusknoir glared down with an ominous aura. (▼▼#)

Perhaps Wobbuffet had absorbed some of Togepi's super luck or charm from spending time together, because its Encore took effect. Dusknoir, just as it was about to escape into the spirit world, stopped. Its focus shifted, and it launched another "Shadow Punch" instead.

The move seemed less like encouragement and more like an unintentional Taunt. Regardless, it worked.

"Attack!" Chris shouted.

Tyranitar roared, its mouth open wide in a terrifying Snarl, then lunged with a devastating Crunch aimed directly at Dusknoir.

Greninja activated Substitute, darting left and right like a shadow, slashing with its sharp blade-like arms.

Blaziken surged forward, following Tyranitar with blazing intensity. Its Flame Double Kick and Force Palm combo radiated with fiery power.

Above them, Garchomp streaked through the air with Aerial Ace, diving straight for Dusknoir with fangs bared, prepared to unleash its own Crunch.

Meanwhile, Gardevoir raised its delicate hands, summoning glowing spheres of energy.

"Moonblast!" Chris commanded.

Twin radiant spheres materialized, shimmering with power. With a graceful motion, Gardevoir sent them flying in crisscrossing trajectories, converging on Dusknoir from both sides.

The relentless assault left no room for escape, overwhelming even the mighty level 70 boss.
