Pokemon: Reborn With A Villain System!!

Chapter 12: Sonic Disruptor!

In the depths of Mount Moon, it was rumored that a meteorite once fell here. Zephyr had always thought it was just a legend until he stood before a massive rock. The size and glow confirmed it wasn't just a story—this was the meteorite.

[Detected special item: Moon Stone.]

[Moon Stone: A type of evolution stone. Certain Pokémon can evolve directly using it. For example, Clefairy evolves into Clefable with a Moon Stone. There are also Fire, Water, Leaf, Thunder, Sun, Dusk, and more evolution stones in this world.]

The system's voice gave a thorough explanation, but Zephyr already understood its value. He approached the Moon Stone and activated the system.

"How many points can I get for recycling this Moon Stone?" Zephyr asked.

[Host, this Moon Stone is massive and can help evolve over 30 Pokémon. Recycling it will yield 100 points.]

"Hundred points?" Zephyr's eyes widened in shock.

This was huge! Without hesitation, he commanded, "Recycle it."

The large Moon Stone disappeared instantly as the system absorbed it. In the cave, only unconscious Pokémon remained, scattered across the floor.

"Haunter, you handle this. Use your current strength to spread Stun Spore here later. These Pokémon won't be waking up anytime soon. Devour their energy and see how strong you can become." Zephyr's voice was firm.

This section of Mount Moon was hidden, far from prying eyes. Perfect for Haunter's training. Zephyr watched as his Haunter floated among the downed Pokémon, cackling softly as it prepared to absorb their energy.

"This is the Pokémon world," Zephyr muttered to himself. "It's brutal, like nature itself. The anime doesn't show this side, but survival here means accepting the food chain. Even humans eat Pokémon as meat."

Zephyr wasn't heartless, but he had to grow stronger. Dangerous times called for tough decisions. Soon, the Tentacruel incident in Vermilion City would occur, where an enraged Tentacruel and its horde destroyed half the city. Events like this were common in the Pokémon world, especially in less-regulated regions.

The Kanto region, however, had a well-established League. Trainers here subdued or defeated wild Pokémon to maintain order. That's why the Pokémon in this area were comparatively weaker.

After ensuring Haunter's training was set, Zephyr exited the cave. He adjusted the stun spore machine at the entrance, adding some sleeping gas to ensure nothing unexpected happened. Satisfied with his work, he released Kakuna from its Pokéball.

"You'll stay in the wild longer," Zephyr instructed. "It'll help you evolve faster."

The shiny Kakuna stretched its silk-spinning ability, binding the male researcher Zephyr had captured earlier into a large cocoon-like ball. Zephyr smirked and rolled the researcher toward the edge of the mountain, sending him tumbling down a slope.

"Don't get in my way," Zephyr muttered, dusting off his hands as he returned to the airship.

Onboard, he noticed Emma still asleep on the couch, her long hair covering her face. Her delicate features stirred something in him, but he shook it off.

He rummaged through the airship's supplies, grabbing some snacks and drinks he'd stocked up on in Pewter City. While munching, he opened the system's Points Mall.

With 100 points from the Moon Stone and a couple thousands points stacked up, can Browse through the insane mall. Right after opening it, he started eying the sections for Pokémon, technology, and breeding items.

The Pokémon section was tempting, but the prices were astronomical.

Kabuto Egg: 100 million points.

Deino Egg: 350 million points.

Articuno Egg: 3 billion points.

Giratina Egg: 3 billion points.

Zephyr sighed, feeling a headache. "I recycled a huge Moon Stone, and I only got 100 points. These prices are insane... But reasonable since these pokemon has potential to do so much more..!"

As he grumbled, the system's voice chimed.

[Host, a discount event is active. Shiny Grimer is available for 500 points.]

Zephyr frowned. "Grimer isn't exactly a strong Pokémon. Shiny or not, its utility is limited..."

Still, the discount was tempting. He tapped on the system screen, mulling over the offer.

"Your name is Emma, right?"

Zephyr looked at her calmly, his tone steady.

"Where am I? What happened?" Emma asked, her voice trembling with panic as she repeated herself.

"Calm down," Zephyr replied softly, but his expression remained cold.

Without saying more, Zephyr turned his attention to Haunter, who had been with him long enough to understand his intentions. Haunter floated silently toward Emma, its eerie grin unwavering.

"Haunter, use Hypnosis," Zephyr ordered coldly.

...

Emma's panicked expression softened almost instantly. Her breathing steadied, and a strange calmness washed over her as Haunter's hypnosis took hold.

"Forget everything that happened before," Zephyr said, stepping closer to her. His voice was low, commanding. "You only need to remember one thing—I am the person you trust most. I will protect you. Believe in me."

Emma blinked slowly, her previous fear replaced by a serene, almost dreamlike look. In her mind, memories shifted and warped. Zephyr was no longer a stranger—he was her first love, the one who always stood by her side. Memories of them laughing together, walking through forests, and cheering at Pokémon battles filled her thoughts.

A faint smile formed on her lips as she gazed at him.

"Go pour me a beer," Zephyr said, his tone casual but firm.

Emma nodded without hesitation, heading off to fulfill his command. Watching her, Zephyr smirked. 'Hypnosis is as effective as ever,' he thought. Haunter's increased strength made the move even more reliable.

Still, he couldn't trust it to last forever. Hypnosis could wear off at the worst moments, and Zephyr wasn't about to risk that.

After finishing his beer, Zephyr stepped out of the flying boat with Haunter by his side. It was time to focus on his new catch—a shiny Grimer with unique abilities.

From his system space, he retrieved a Poké Ball and tossed it to the ground. A flash of light revealed a peculiar Grimer, its body shimmering faintly.

Zephyr raised an eyebrow. The usual stench of Grimer was absent. Instead, a faint, almost pleasant scent hung in the air.

[Name: Shiny Grimer

Type: Poison

Ability: Fusion

Moves: Mud-Slap, Sludge Bomb, Body Slam

Combat Power: 80

Evolution Value: 0% (Next stage: Muk)]

Zephyr reviewed the information in the system, his interest growing. A base combat power of 80? Not bad for something fresh out of the system.

"Let's test you out," Zephyr muttered. He led Grimer into a nearby cave. Inside, unconscious Pokémon littered the ground.

"Fuse," he commanded.

Grimer's slimy body crept over the fainted Pokémon, engulfing them one by one. In mere moments, the Pokémon were absorbed into its body, and Grimer's strength began to surge.

[Ding! Shiny Grimer has activated Fusion Power. Zubat absorbed. Combat Power +10. Evolution Value +5%.]

[Ding! Shiny Grimer has activated Fusion Power. Sandshrew absorbed. Combat Power +20. Evolution Value +10%.]

[Ding! Shiny Grimer has activated Fusion Power. Paras absorbed. Combat Power +5. Evolution Value +2%.]

Zephyr smirked as the notifications rolled in. In just minutes, Grimer's combat power had doubled to 160, and its evolution value had reached 50%.

"Not bad," Zephyr muttered, impressed. "At this rate, you'll evolve tomorrow."

With Grimer reaching its fusion limit for the day, Zephyr stepped back outside. The moonlight bathed the quiet forest in a silver glow. Nearby, a shiny Kakuna clung to a tree, its metallic shell glinting under the light.

Zephyr approached it, his gaze narrowing. "Still no evolution, huh?"

He opened the system shop, scanning for anything that could speed up Kakuna's evolution. Three options appeared:

[1. Spring of Life - A single drop could cut evolution time in half. (Cost: 50,000 points)

2. Toxic Crystal - Boosts Poison-type Pokémon's combat power and evolution speed. (Cost: 30,000 points)

3. Sonic Disruptor - Stimulates evolution through sound waves but carries a high risk of fatality. (Cost: 5,000 points)]

Zephyr grimaced. The first two were far beyond his budget, leaving only the Sonic Disruptor.

"Well, desperate times," he muttered, purchasing the disruptor. He placed it near Kakuna and adjusted the settings to keep it agitated but not harmed.

"Let's see if you're tough enough to handle this," Zephyr said, stepping back to observe.
