Chapter 11: Fortuite encounter
Early in the morning, the group went on a shopping spree to Slateports Market. In Hoenn, it was known as the biggest "exotic" market in the whole region. Even though Mauville City was bigger and Lilicove's Mall was bigger and had foreign items, Slateport specialized in Pokemon training items.
"Get Tamato Berries at the cheapest price! Tamato berries, Tamato berries!"
"Protein and carbs at discounted prices! Get your Pokemon the supplements they need!"
Street vendors of all ages and colors screamed as Dune and Helena walked through the busy streets. Helena had to hold Dune's claw to avoid tripping, and due to her nonexistent social skills, she became dizzy every time they had to walk through a heavily trafficked street.
It worsened due to Dune's uniqueness; most passersby just took a quick glance at Dune before continuing walking, but the more experienced trainers couldn't help but be weirded out by Dune's gold-yellow skin color.
"He..Hey Dune, I'm getting lightheaded, and my cards don't have any more money. Let's just go back to the hotel, please. I want to spend some more time just reading alone," said Helena as they arrived at their last stop. It was a shop in the farthest corner of the market, with a rundown sign that just read, "Shiny stones for sale.".
Dune ignored Helena and pointed with his claws at three different sets of stones; each set consisted of two double-patterned colored stones, one bigger than the other.
An old woman on the other side of the shop who was fanning herself stood up to greet Helena. "Hi! Welcome to Sara's stones and antiques; how may I serve you?" said the lady as she stared straight into Helena's eyes, almost piercing hers.
"Ah, ehmm, yeah, hmm." Helena couldn't help but feel ashamed at the old lady staring at her, but a quick pinch in the butt by Dune brought her back to earth. "Kyaa, so..sorry, i want to buy these three sets of stones." Helena said, pointing at the sets to which Dune had pointed earlier.
The woman chuckled lightly before handing Helena the boxes the stones were in. "Sure, it would be 300,000 pokedollars in total," Helena and Dune intantly paled, but the burgeoise spirit in Helena awakened once again; she would not concede the pride to someone for suggesting she didn't have enough money.
Tremblingly, Helena grabbed her wallet and took out a blank check, quickly filling it with her information. She handed the woman the check proudly, despite trembling as if she were handing all of her remaining money, which it was.
The woman happily received the check, and as she was reading it, she stopped for a moment and chuckled. "Oh dear, sorry I didn't recognize you. Tell Steven his research has helped the business; I can't accept this much money from Steven's little sister; write me another one for just $200,000," and the old woman handed back the check to Helena.
"N...no! Please accept it! My brother may know you, but I don't. The Devon family is proud of having fair transactions, so accept the full pay." almost instantly responded to Helena with a strange security in herself, only moments later regretting her words.
After leaving Slateport's market, as Dune and Helena walked in the now quiet and empty streets, Helena finally asked Dune what she had spent all her remaining money on.
"Hmm, so... Ehmm, Dune, what are these stones?" asked Helena as Dune only walked forward, staring at a Hatterenes ass in the distance.
"Hmm? Oh yeah, I forgot, you don't know, these are mega-stones and are required for Mega-Evolution. Me, Gardevoir, and Buneary have access to them, so I bought our stones already. You don't have a mega-bracelet or similar, so we can't mega-evolve yet, but in the near future, this will pay off—is that a team Aqua?." Said Dune as, in the distance, he saw a bunch of men and women in blue and white stripes running off a building, following an absurdly muscular man.
Following them was a young woman with a similar age to Helena in red clothes and a red bandana, screaming at them as she rode a female Blaziken. Dune instantly recognized the girl's identity; she was the female rival of Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, Pokemon Trainer May.
"Helena, let's follow those guys; they are the same ones who stole the Devon parts a month ago!" Screamed Dune as he ran off, pulling Helena with him. Chasing them for a few streets, May lost the Team Aqua members and stopped to catch her breath alongside her Balziken, whom Dune now could recognize as female by her big, backward assets.
As May looked back on her steps, she saw Helena running alongside Dune, eventually stopping next to her. "Pff, pff, di..did you, pfff, see where they went?" Helena asked, panting heavily as Dune stared at May's Blaziken.
"No, sorry, were you looking for them too?" asked May, stranged by Helena's appearance and behavior; it was the first time she saw such a tall and voluptuous girl other than herself. And she was following Team Aqua's steps too. "Sorry, do I know you?" Asked May as she extended her hand to Helena.
Helena, in response, just stared at May's hand until Dune slapped her in the back, making Helena shake May's hand. "I.. I don't think so. My Na..name is Helena." May just chuckled and smiled at Helena; her eyes reminded her of her dad,Professor Birch.
While Helena and May socialized, Dune and May's Blaziken just stared at themselves silently. Dune secretly scans May's Blaziken stats.

Before Dune could finish reading Blaziken stats, a nice pair of breasts pushed themselves onto his face.
"Damn, rich girls are truly different, are you telling me you just caught this bad boy as a Gible? really lucky, mind me taking some photos for my dad, he is a professor, and i'm actually traveling to help him with his research, then we said we would go shoppin right?" May and Helena seemed to have like each other than they made plans for later, after May took some photos she said goodbye alongside her Blaziken, leaving me and Helena in the streets.
"Helena, let's go back to the hotel, just leave me in the room and go with your new friend, i want to give Gardevoir and Buneary their proteins and train for some time so we are ready for the next gym leader."
