Meowth dashed out of the smoke at an incredible speed, its claws glowing with a dark aura as it aimed for Lapras.

"Protect!"

A green energy shield enveloped Lapras, causing Meowth's Shadow Claw to miss.

"Lapras, use Body Slam!"

"Ugh!"

As Lapras leaped high into the air and then came crashing down toward Meowth, it seemed like Meowth would be in serious trouble if it got hit.

"Dodge it, then grab it!"

Meowth was fast. As Lapras came down, it swiftly dodged and then grabbed hold of Lapras.

Ash's eyes flashed with intensity as he said, "Thunderbolt!"

"TMs are so useful, meow!"

Electricity surged through Meowth's body, and a terrifying current began to ravage Lapras.

"Ugh!"

As Lapras cried out in pain, the yellow lightning grew stronger. However, Ash showed no intention of stopping Meowth. Instead, he said, "Meowth, increase the power, and carefully watch for that moment."

Meowth, who was in sync with Ash, understood perfectly and said with a smile, "Got it, meow! Lapras, don't disappoint me and the boss, meow!"

Meowth then increased the power of Thunderbolt, while Lapras endured the electric shock. She seemed to be searching for something, and in an instant, she found it.

Lorelei, who was in sync with Lapras, smiled and said, "That's it, break through, Lapras!"

With Lorelei's shout, Lapras broke free from Meowth's Thunderbolt. Meowth, meanwhile, leaped aside with a smile, having found what it was looking for.

As for Lapras, her aura had completely changed. She was no longer at the peak of the Elite Four level—she had reached Champion level!

Lorelei, seeing the Lapras that had been with her since childhood finally break through to Champion level, couldn't help but show a radiant smile. She looked at Ash and said, "Thank you, Ash."

Ash, who had already put his hat back on, looked at Lorelei and said, "You're welcome. Meowth also gained a lot from this. But congratulations, Lapras has become a Champion."

It was understandable for the audience to react this way. Generally, Elite Four level Pokémon are at least fully evolved forms. But what were they seeing now? An Elite Four level Chansey and an Elite Four level Meowth!

Ash, looking at the shocked audience, said somewhat exasperatedly, "Seriously, Meowth and Chansey have been with me since they were little. Isn't it normal for them to have this kind of strength?"

With a huge explosion, a massive machine appeared in the Cerulean Gym, and Ash, holding Lorelei, looked at the machine speechlessly and said, "Here we go again..."

 Immediately after, a familiar BGM started playing.

 "Since you asked so sincerely,"

 "To protect the world from devastation,"

 "To unite all peoples within our nation,"

 "To denounce the evils of truth and love,"

 "To extend our reach to the stars above!"

 "Jessie!"

 "James!"

 "Team Rocket, blasting off at the speed of light!"

 "Surrender now, or prepare to fight!"

 "Meowth, that's right!"

 "Hahaha! This time we came prepared, kid! Hand over Pikachu!" Accompanied by Jessie's laughter, Team Rocket appeared before Ash once again, but unlike Jessie, James was stunned and said, "Hey, Jessie, it seems we came at the wrong time... Do you know who that kid is holding?"

 Meowth from Team Rocket looked strangely at Lorelei, who was being princess-carried by Ash, and asked in confusion, "Who is that, Meowth?"

 James, sweating profusely, said, "That's Lorelei, the Ice-type Elite Four member!!!! She's one of the Kanto Elite Four!!!!"

 Seeing that Ash was indeed holding Lorelei, Jessie and Meowth were both intimidated, but then Meowth, driven by desperation, pulled the machine's switch.

 As the machine activated, a powerful suction force began to absorb water and various objects.

 "What will the sudden appearance of Team Rocket bring? Don't go away! We'll keep commentating until the very end!"

 Looking at such a dedicated host, Ash was speechless, but he already had a plan for this situation.

 "Meowth, take care of it."

 "Got it! Latest machine paralyzer, fire!" As Meowth took out a small gun and shot it at the machine, a strong electric current surged through the machine, shocking the Team Rocket trio and simultaneously disabling the machine.

 "Good, then... Can you let me go now?"

 Ash, who was about to take out a Poké Ball, found himself tightly restrained, and Lorelei, lying in Ash's arms, licked a place where Ash had been scratched by a stone.

 "This time, I won't let you escape."

 "Let me go! You crazy woman! How could I forget that you still have ulterior motives towards me?!"

 If it weren't for the chaos preventing everyone from noticing, Ash and Lorelei's rumors might have started right then.

 Meanwhile, Lorelei held onto Ash tightly and handed him a document she carried with her, saying, "Sign this, and I'll let you go."

 Ash didn't even look at it and said, "No way! Your stuff is never good! I must have been blind back then to think you were a gentle big sister! Who knew you were a hungry wolf! Let go! I won't give in!"

 "No! But now is not the time for this, those two and Meowth are waking up."

 Hearing Lorelei say this, Ash finally remembered that the three culprits were still here.
