Pokémon: My Farm Adventures

"It seems our luck is quite good."

Natsume waved at the boatman.

The boatman slowly paddled his small boat toward the shore. "Do you want to get on board?"

"Poliwhirl~"

Beside the boatman, there was a Poliwhirl holding a paddle.

"No, I want that."

Natsume pointed to a Jirachi plush toy on top of the boat.

The boatman was slightly taken aback but then smiled at Natsume, "I see."

"Of course, no problem."

"However, to get it, you'll need to defeat my Poliwhirl first."

As the boatman spoke, he pushed off the shore with his paddle, retreating the black sailboat toward the middle of the river.

"Poliwhirl~"

Poliwhirl put down the paddle and jumped into the water.

Poliwhirl's level wasn't very high, only in the thirties.

Gardevoir stepped forward confidently.

Gardevoir used Inner Focus to balance itself on the water's surface.

Tourists on the shore turned their attention to the scene.

The surrounding black sailboats retreated to make space for them.

"Gardevoir, you're such an enviable Pokémon."

The boatman remarked, then shouted, "Poliwhirl, use Water Pulse!"

Floating on the water's surface, Poliwhirl raised its arms, condensing a water sphere in its hands.

"Gardevoir, Light Screen."

Gardevoir reached out its hand.

A Light Screen appeared before it.

"Poliwhirl!"

Poliwhirl threw the water sphere at Gardevoir.

Water Pulse collided with the Light Screen.

Bam~

An explosion of energy echoed.

The Light Screen in front of Gardevoir did not shake at all.

The water sphere dissipated into droplets that fell into the river.

"Gardevoir, Dazzling Gleam!"

The boatman quickly shouted, "Poliwhirl, dive into the river!"

"Poliwhirl!"

Poliwhirl swiftly dove into the water.

Gardevoir's palm faced the submerged Poliwhirl.

Boom~

A dazzling beam of light shot straight toward Poliwhirl beneath the water.

Poliwhirl instinctively turned to look, and before it stood a brilliant beam flickering with dreamlike colors.

In an instant, the beam enveloped Poliwhirl's body.

The once calm water appeared as if it had been ripped apart, suddenly churning.

A powerful shockwave rapidly spread outwards, creating layers of splashes.

The splashes shimmered with colorful light under the sunlight.

The boats on the lake wobbled.

Pokémon by the water's edge hurried ashore.

At that moment, the entire underwater world was illuminated by Gardevoir's Dazzling Gleam.

"This Dazzling Gleam is so outrageous in power."

"Yeah, it probably has the strength of a Gym Leader."

Tourists on the shore cheered and applauded as they watched Gardevoir standing on the water's surface, amazed by its strength.

"We won~"

"Audino~"

"Lopunny~"

Jirachi and Audino waved happily at Gardevoir.

The water's surface gradually calmed.

The unconscious Poliwhirl floated back up.

"Come back, Poliwhirl."

The boatman recalled his Pokémon and then paddled back to the shore.

"Congratulations, Trainer."

The boatman handed Natsume the Jirachi that had transformed from Ditto.

Natsume reached out to take it.

"Ditto~"

Jirachi transformed back into a soft Ditto.

"Ditto~"

Ditto greeted Natsume.

At that moment, a staff member holding a camera came running toward Natsume.

"You are the sixth person to find Jirachi. How did you discover this Jirachi?"

Natsume smiled at the camera and said, "Well, I have to give credit to my Jirachi and Gardevoir."

Jirachi, sitting on Natsume's shoulder, wore a proud expression.

Gardevoir smiled lightly.

The official staff member realized, "I see."

The official staff member took out a Pokémon egg and said, "You are the sixth person to find Jirachi."

"This is your reward."

The Pokémon egg was placed in a hatching device.

Natsume glanced at the data for this Pokémon.

It was an Eevee Pokémon egg.

"Additionally, before the Millennial Comet disappears, you can enjoy all the entertainment facilities in Aomori City for free."

"On behalf of Aomori City, we wish you may achieve your dreams under the watch of Jirachi."

After Natsume, the staff member, and Ditto took a photo together with the Pokémon egg he had just received, they all experienced some of Aomori City's water culture.

Natsume rented a sightseeing boat.

Everyone sat on the boat, drifting along the river water of the city.

The scenery along the banks unfolded before them like a painting.

The green trees on either side of the river, along with the tall buildings in the distance, were harmoniously distributed throughout the city.

Every now and then, Flying-type Pokémon floated over the surface of the river.

Many sightseeing boats were leisurely drifting in the river water.

Natsume even saw someone riding a Gyarados navigating through the river.

At the moment, Jirachi and Lopunny were sitting at the back of the boat, feeding the Pokémon in the water with Pokémon food.

A group of Goldeen was attracted by their feeding.

Natsume and Gardevoir were sitting inside the cabin playing chess.

Of course, the way they played chess was very much in line with the characteristics of psychic Pokémon.

Natsume and Gardevoir used Inner Focus to control their pieces floating above the chessboard.

Since they had to manage many pieces at once, it tested their control of Inner Focus.

The breeze from the riverside ruffled the fur of the snoozing Eevee.

Unbeknownst to them, the twilight glow bathed the river in a golden shimmer.

"Guests."

The captain walked in and said to Natsume, "We're nearing our destination."

"Time flies so quickly."

Natsume looked up.

A chess piece fell.

The captain laughed, "Everyone feels that way."

Natsume picked up a pastry beside him and took a bite, then stood up and stretched while watching the sunset over Aomori City, saying, "Indeed, time should be spent in places like this to feel comfortable."

"Natsume, are we heading home?"

Jirachi floated to Natsume's side and asked.

Natsume smiled and said, "Yes, we're going home."

"Audino, Chansey, you all come inside."

"When you come out again, you'll be able to see the farm."

As Natsume spoke, he took out the Poké Balls.

"Audino~"

"Chansey~"

Both Audino and Chansey were recalled into their Poké Balls.

"Dragonite, come out."

Natsume took out a Poké Ball and released Dragonite into the sky.

Natsume used Teleport and appeared on top of Dragonite.

"Let's go home."

"Dragonite~"

Dragonite flapped its wings and flew toward the farm under the sunset.

At the farm gym,

"Come back, Grotle."

A trainer named Ashi recalled his Grotle, which had lost its battle strength.

He looked at the Houndoom in the battle arena and said, "The battle is just getting started!"

"Now it's up to you!"

"Let's go, Pawniard!"

"Pawniard!"

Pawniard stared intently at the Houndoom in front of it!

"Pawniard, Fury Cutter!"

"Pawniard!"

Pawniard rushed quickly toward Houndoom.

"Houndoom!"

Houndoom growled and opened its mouth to bite at Pawniard.

Pawniard reacted swiftly, dodging Houndoom's attack and circling around to Houndoom's back.

"Pawniard!"

Fury Cutter!

Bang!

Pawniard's sharp blade left a scratch on Houndoom's body.

Ashi shouted, "Now, Assurance!"

The blade on Pawniard glowed with Dark-type energy as it struck the previously cut area again.

Houndoom clearly struggled to withstand Pawniard's relentless assault, quickly succumbing.

Rotom stepped forward and announced, "Houndoom has lost its battle capability, so the winner is Ashi, the challenger from Green Vine City!"

"Hooray!"

In the battle arena, the trainer named Ashi leaped up excitedly.

Rotom took out the gym badge and said, "This is proof that you've passed the gym challenge~"

Ashi took the badge and responded, "Thank you~"

"That's amazing! You really got the badge."

Outside, Ashi's friends praised him, "That's the Morimachi farm badge."

"I've seen many strong trainers fail here."

As he spoke, he pointed to a Serperior lounging on the empty plot of land.

Serperior used Grassy Terrain.

The injured Houndoom walked over and lay down on the ground.

Lilligant was applying Medicinal Leek to the wounds on Houndoom's body.

"Larvitar~"

Larvitar also mimicked Lilligant and applied Medicinal Leek as well.

Larvitar patted Houndoom's wounds.

"Houndoom!"

Houndoom gasped in surprise.

Larvitar scratched its head, feeling a bit embarrassed.

Larvitar had used too much force.

"Woo, so cute! Can I hold this Larvitar?"

A girl exclaimed to her friend, excited to see the Larvitar. "A Larvitar that wants to be a Pokémon nurse is just too adorable!"

The man beside her said confidently, "Go ahead, what are you afraid of?"

He walked towards Larvitar.

"Serperior~."

Serperior's gaze swept over.

Feeling Serperior's stare, the man froze in place.

He awkwardly turned back and said, "I just remembered, Larvitar is quite heavy."

"The average weight of Larvitar is 72 kilograms, so you probably can't lift it anyway. It's better to forget about it."

"Tch~"

The surrounding crowd gave a chorus of jeers.

The Morimachi local, who was talking to Ashi, continued, "That Serperior and the Arcanine over there are the true powerhouse Pokémon here."

"Of course, if you want to challenge those two, you'll first have to get past Heracross, Infernape, Sirfetch'd, and the three new Breloom they have."

"By the way, I personally think the strongest among them is Sirfetch'd."

"Which one do you want to challenge: the three Breloom, Infernape, Sirfetch'd, or Heracross?"

Ashi replied directly, "Let's go for Sirfetch'd."

"I want to see just how strong the best Fighting-type Pokémon in this farm is."

"No problem~"

Rotom called out to Sirfetch'd, "Sirfetch'd, someone wants to challenge you~"

"Sirfetch'd!"

Sirfetch'd's sharp gaze turned toward them.

Infernape and the Breloom also looked over.

Being stared at by so many Fighting-type Pokémon made Ashi feel a bit uneasy.

"Uh, I'm not fighting right now."

"My Pawniard just had a battle and needs to rest."

"And my Grotle was just injured and needs treatment."

"Dragonite~"

At that moment, a voice from the sky called out, sounding like Dragonite.

Look up at the sky.

"It's Dragonite!"

"This must be Natsume, the gym leader, returning."

Jirachi took the Pokémon egg from Natsume and flew toward the farm.

"Dragonite~"

Dragonite landed with Natsume at the farm.

"Welcome back~"

Rotom flew over, circling around Natsume.

Natsume smiled at Rotom and asked, "How was today, Rotom?"

"Today, two trainers received their gym badges."

Rotom said, looking at Ashi, who hadn't yet walked out, "Additionally, he wants to continue his challenge, but he needs to wait for his Grotle to recover first."

Natsume glanced at him and said, "I see. Let's release your Grotle; I want to check its injuries."

"Okay."

Ashi took out his Poké Ball, saying, "Come out, Grotle."

This Grotle had signs of burns, but the injury wasn't too severe.

Poké Balls floated out from Natsume's side.

"Everyone, we're home."

The Poké Balls opened.

"Audino~"

Natsume asked Audino, "How is it? Can it be healed?"

Audino nodded.

Audino indicated that while Grotle had burn marks from a flame attack, the burns weren't serious, so there was no need for burn spray.

"Audino~"

Audino used Wish on Grotle.

A wave of life energy flowed from Audino's palm into Grotle's body.

"Grotle~"

Grotle stood up and shook its body.

Grotle was restored.

"That's impressive! Now we can battle here with peace of mind."

"Yeah, with Audino and Chansey around, we won't have to run to the Morimachi hospital anymore."

Natsume thought to himself about Audino and Chansey: In the future, they can carry a medicine bag and be active around here.

Perhaps he could even find an empty plot of land to build a pharmacy for them.
