A Growlithe was knocked over by a Houndour.

The Growlithe's body fell onto the land that Natsume had just cleared.

Five Houndour ran out from the woods.

They slowed down as they noticed Natsume and Dratini.

Houndour are social Pokémon.

They are a combination of Dark and Fire types.

They resemble small black dogs.

Their backs feature two bone-like protrusions.

As social Pokémon, they tend to fight in groups with their companions.

"Houndour!"

At this moment, the leading Houndour stepped forward, giving a warning bark at Natsume and Dratini.

"Dratini!"

"Dratin."

Dratini pointed at the ground with its tail and then pointed toward the Houndour.

"The Houndour is saying this is their territory and we should leave?"

Sandshrew clawed at the belly of the Houndour.

"Houndour!"

The other three charged straight at Natsume and Dratini.

They were gathering Ember in their mouths.

"Dratini!"

Growlithe leaped in front to block the Ember attack.

Flames ignited on Growlithe's body.

Growlithe let out a fierce roar at the Houndour, then charged forward with the flames enveloping it.

Natsume sat up, surprised as he watched Growlithe engulfed in fire: "Is that Flash Fire combined with Flame Wheel?"

While Growlithe's momentum was intense, it was clear that its earlier injuries were too severe.

Before it could even reach the Houndour, it collapsed back onto the ground.

"Oof."

Growlithe whimpered, panting heavily as it struggled to get back up to continue fighting.

"Houndour!"

At that moment, the lead Houndour shouted.

It cautiously glanced at Natsume before turning to retreat.

The lead Houndour chose to abandon the fight.

Dratini returned to Natsume's side, looking a bit remorseful.

Natsume held Growlithe close, looking out of the carriage.

In an instant, Corviknight was soaring into the sky, above the white clouds.

"Dratini~"

Dratini gazed longingly at the sky around them.

Natsume looked at Dratini and softly said, "Don't worry, Dratini."

"We'll be able to fly soon too."

"Dratini~"

Dratini rested its head on Natsume's shoulder and nuzzled against his cheek.
