The Alliance didn't have to pay for anything; it was all provided by Evan. What more was there to say?
There was no need for further review, as the other party immediately approved Evan's decision on the spot.
At the same time, after Evan established the breeding house and started generating revenue for the orphanage, the vacant land near the orphanage was directly assigned to its name.
It was the same place where Evan and Violet had their battle before.
This was an unexpected surprise.
Evan hadn't anticipated receiving such a significant gift package upon arriving.
After completing all the formalities, everything was wrapped up in just over an hour.
Aunt Jenn quickly sent a message saying that the arrangements regarding the houses had been finalized.
Now, they were just waiting for Evan to transfer the money.
Since Evan happened to be in the city, there was no need to make an extra trip.
Even the land transfer contract was signed on the spot, and the money was transferred immediately.
Everything proceeded seamlessly.
By the end of the morning, all the necessary tasks had been completed.
At noon, Evan grabbed a simple meal before heading back to the breeding house.
He then began contacting the construction team that Sophia had recommended earlier, asking them to assist with the construction.
Meanwhile, Aunt Jenn and the others also got to work, packing up everything useful from the orphanage and moving it to the breeding house.
For the next few days, Evan planned to stay on-site.
He pitched in to help where he could and, once everything was sorted, resumed making energy cubes.
The next day, the construction team arrived.
Evan shared his requirements and the plans with the team leader, who understood immediately.
Before long, the orphanage and nearby houses were demolished, and construction commenced at full speed.
The children watched in awe as their former home was torn down.
Strangely enough, they felt...pleasant?
Don't ask why—it's just that the old house looked pretty awful compared to what they imagined the new one would be.
There wasn't even a hint of regret or nostalgia.
Why would anyone cling to an old building when there's a better one on the way?
The old dean might have felt differently if he were still around, but…sadly, he was gone.
As the orphanage reconstruction began, Evan temporarily slowed his purchases.
He also contacted Sophia, requesting that she send over more supplies in the coming days.
When Sophia heard about the reconstruction, she immediately expressed interest in visiting the site.
"Next time I'm there, I bet everything will look completely different!" she said, clearly intrigued.
After making the arrangements, Evan returned to his usual tasks.
While crafting energy cubes, he also took the opportunity to involve Lucario.
"Lucario, go help move some bricks," Evan said, finding the Pokémon mid-training session.
Lucario froze, looking utterly baffled.
Move bricks?
Evan pointed toward the construction site outside.
"See those Machamps out there? Moving bricks is great physical training."
"You should give it a try. Starting today, your training will include moving bricks."
"Didn't you notice my Machamp already helping out?"
Lucario's expression was priceless—he was on the verge of losing it.
Aren't I supposed to be a fighter? And now you're telling me to move bricks?
But Evan's serious expression and the sight of Machamp diligently hauling building materials made Lucario pause.
For a moment, he hesitated.
"Do you want to go?" Evan asked, glancing at Lucario.
Lucario hesitated, so Evan pressed on.
"You need to understand something," Evan said with a smirk.
"A cook who can't move bricks isn't a good Aura Pokémon."
Lucario tilted its head, puzzled, as Evan continued.
"Do you even know what an Aura Pokémon is?" Evan asked, leaning in slightly.
"It's the Pokémon of the Aura Guardians! Let me tell you, those legendary Pokémon from the Aura Guardians? They were all Lucarios."
"You must have heard that story, right? It's practically common knowledge for a Lucario!"
Lucario looked even more confused.
What's an Aura Guardian?
It furrowed its brow, as if asking, Why haven't I heard of this?
Evan blinked.
"What? Don't tell me Violet didn't tell you about the Aura Guardians?" Evan scoffed, shaking his head.
"Tsk, you must be a fake Lucario."
Lucario's ears twitched, and it glared at Evan.
Fake Lucario?!
That was enough to make Lucario fume.
Seeing its reaction, Evan chuckled before relenting.
"Alright, alright. Let me explain," he said, launching into the story of the Aura Guardians.
Lucario listened intently, its expression slowly shifting from frustration to intrigue.
Something about Evan's story resonated deeply.
Was it true? Or just a clever tale?
Even Lucario wasn't sure, but its instincts told it there was something real in Evan's words.
After a moment of reflection, Lucario stood up and made its way outside.
"Lucar!"
"I'll move the bricks," it said firmly.
If Evan was right, this was training worth taking seriously.
Watching Lucario head out, Evan smirked.
"Now that's the spirit!" he said.
After all, moving bricks wasn't just hard labor—it was a form of exercise.
And besides, Violet was waiting for Lucario to grow stronger.
Shaking his head in amusement, Evan went back to crafting energy cubes.
Meanwhile, the construction progressed rapidly outside.
The orphanage underwent a dramatic transformation over the next three days.
New buildings rose where the old ones stood, fully renovated and gleaming in pure white.
It was far more beautiful and functional than before.
By the third day, even the interior furnishings were completed.
Evan inspected the work thoroughly before paying the workers their wages.
The construction team departed, taking the leftover materials and waste with them.
Evan stood back to admire the finished orphanage.
Everything, from the roads to the buildings, had been redone.
A paved path now connected the orphanage to Evan's breeding house.
In front of the breeding house lay a spacious square, surrounded by neatly planted fruit trees.
The orphanage itself boasted more rooms, all spacious enough to comfortably house even large Pokémon.
Outdoor exercise equipment had also been installed, providing space for both children and Pokémon to train.
Satisfied, Evan turned his attention to furnishing the interior.
The furniture, crafted from wood with help from the construction team, was simple but sturdy.
Beds were ready, but mattresses and other essentials still needed to be purchased.
With time to spare, Evan headed to a furniture store and bought everything necessary.
By evening, the orphanage was ready for everyone to move in.
The children's excitement was palpable as they stepped into their new home, marveling at its beauty.
While Evan was basking in the success of the renovation, Violet, who had traveled to Water City for a short vacation, found herself in unexpected trouble.
For now, she was completely flustered, unsure of what to do next.
