It turns out that this is what Evan meant.

She thought Evan was calling these Pokémon here for some significant reason.

As it turned out, it was just to visit the store.

Of course, the two Pokémon had no problem with that.

They simply stayed there as a security guard and a waitress.

Evan also informed the aunts about this.

After hearing Evan's arrangement, they had no objections.

After completing all these tasks, Evan returned to the breeding house.

When Sophia saw this, she hurriedly followed.

"Your Kirlia will be able to evolve in a few days," Evan said.

"You can take it back, or you can leave it here."

"Just train it for a while," he suggested.

Sophia nodded. "I'll take it back."

"Just in time. I'll also be going on a trip soon, and it's time to capture my fourth Pokémon."

Her tone carried a hint of excitement as she spoke.

This time, Evan was puzzled. "The fourth Pokémon?"

"Have you made your choice?"

Sophia nodded. "Already chosen."

"A Shiny Pokémon," she said.

"But I have to go there to get it."

Hearing this, Evan was immediately intrigued. "Shiny?"

"What type is it?"

Did she really find a Shiny Pokémon?

Sophia chuckled. "It's a Shiny Snorlax."

"But it might cost quite a bit of Pokédollars."

"After all, I'm buying it at an auction," she added confidently. "But I'm determined to win it."

"By the way, Evan," she continued, "there are also Mega Stones at the auction. Are you interested in anything?"

"How about you come with me?" she invited.

Evan shook his head. "No!"

"I'm not interested in going."

Still, he added, "But I am interested in the Mega Stones."

"Why don't you help me check if they have Charizard X's Mega Stone?"

"If they do, please take a picture of it for me."

There was no need to travel abroad for the auction.

It should be held overseas, and there was no information about the auction in China.

Traveling abroad for it seemed unnecessary.

When Sophia heard this, she immediately nodded. "If I see it, I'll take a picture of it for you, Evan."

This time, the auction was indeed being held overseas.

If Evan didn't want to go, she wouldn't press the matter.

After confirming this plan, the two returned to the breeding house.

Sophia ran to the backyard to either play with or train her Kirlia.

Meanwhile, Evan looked at the energy cubes prepared by Isla and the others.

After pointing out a few issues, he started training Violet's Pokémon.

After all, he had accepted the task of improving their strength.

Evan also included Milotic, Altaria, and Larvesta—in the training.

He left them under Gardevoir's guidance, adding them to its training program.

This is how Gardevoir has always trained.

At first, Charmeleon cried, but over time, it grew numb and stopped shedding tears altogether.

Evan even suspected that the reason Kirlia agreed to help manage the store so quickly was because Gardevoir's training methods were too intimidating, making it less appealing to participate.

After all, Gardevoir usually appeared gentle, sweet, and adorable.

But once training or battling was involved, it seemed like an entirely different Pokémon.

It was as if the words "Don't mess with me" were written all over its demeanor.

It was downright terrifying.

After assigning tasks to the Pokémon, Evan turned his attention to Shinx and the Alolan Vulpix.

However, when his eyes landed on Shinx, he noticed the little one occasionally glancing in Pikachu's direction.

Evan's expression became curious as he watched.

Was it instinct?

A cat chasing a mouse?

Amused, Evan had an idea. He called out to Pikachu, who was resting nearby.

"Pikachu, come here."

Pikachu perked up at Evan's voice, standing and quickly running over. "Pika pi?"

Shinx's eyes locked onto Pikachu.

Seeing this, Evan chuckled. He had figured it out.

"Shinx, I've got a mission for you," he announced. "Catch Pikachu."

Then, turning to Pikachu, he added, "Your mission is not to get caught by Shinx until it's completely worn out."

Pikachu looked baffled. "Pika??"

What was this about?

A chase?

Before Pikachu could process, Shinx's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Shinx~~!" it cried, leaping toward Pikachu with a small spark of electricity crackling around it.

Startled, Pikachu dashed to the side. "Pika??" it exclaimed in disbelief.

"Catch me?" it thought. "What is going on?"

Evan's words added pressure. "If you get caught, no dinner tonight."

"Pika pika!!!" Pikachu squeaked in alarm.

"Shinx ~!" Shinx growled with enthusiasm as both Pokémon bolted toward the back mountain.

It became an impromptu game of hide-and-seek, with Shinx chasing Pikachu relentlessly across the large expanse.

Evan observed with satisfaction. Shinx was a new member of the team, still in the early stages of training. Chasing Pikachu was the perfect exercise to boost its endurance and instincts.

Besides, its natural instinct to pursue the "mouse Pokémon" made the task more enjoyable.

After the two Pokémon disappeared into the back mountain, Evan turned his attention to the Alolan Vulpix.

This little one was also a beginner, but its Ice-type abilities gave Evan another idea.

He decided to put its skills to use.

Leading Vulpix toward the breeding house, Evan approached Isla, who was busy with her tasks.

"I have a request," he said.

"Can you have Vulpix help make some ice cubes? I'll need them later."

"There's no need to freeze them yourself—just let Vulpix handle it."

"It'll save time and help it train."

Isla blinked in surprise, then glanced at the innocent-looking Vulpix. She nodded after a moment.

"Sure! No problem."

She gestured for Vulpix to follow, leading the small Pokémon toward the refrigerator room.

Once everything was set, Evan nodded in satisfaction.

At that moment, a voice suddenly spoke behind him.

"Is this how you train Pokémon?"
