Pokémon: Dragons, Dragons, & Dragons.

Chapter 4: Chapter 3: Rin Pendragon

The Wyrmhaven Range is a colossal and awe-inspiring mountain range situated on the outer borders of the Kanto and Johto regions. Spanning over 1,000 miles, it earned its name from ancient folklore that spoke of dragon-like creatures that once roamed these highlands. The range's peaks are jagged and rise sharply from the surrounding terrain, giving them an intimidating presence. The landscape is dotted with deep, mystical valleys, treacherous ravines, and sheer cliff faces that seem to scrape the clouds.

Eighty percent of the world remains vastly unexplored due to various factors such as extreme weather, dangerous Pokémon, and the simple fact that many explorers don't return to give detailed accounts.

Now, the entire clan was seeing a full-on picture of a castle estate with the Pendragon flags and another flag with sword and dragon symbols.

Uther Pendragon should have seen this coming, and the elders, those old relics of tradition, should have seen it coming, too.

The entire clan now gazed at a full display of a castle estate bearing the Pendragon flags alongside another bearing a sword and dragon symbol.

Uther Pendragon should have foreseen this. And the elders—the old relics of tradition—should have seen it as well.

"Sister... what the fuck is that?" Mordred asked bluntly, her voice cutting through the room with all the subtlety of a broadsword.

"Tis the matter, dear sister of mine?" Rin replied, cocking her head to the side with an unaffected smile, her words lilting like she was simply out for a shopping spree rather than amid serious clan matters. Her Ninetails sat regally beside her, who was diligently brushing its fur with a specialized Pokémon-grade brush—an S-Rank brush, judging by the hairs caught in it. "Like, can't you just chill? It's not a biggie," she added with a casual shrug.

Every item in their world followed a uniform grading system, ranging from Grade E to SSS. This system measured the effectiveness, rarity, and power of each item, from Pokéballs and potions to barriers and training gear. Grade E items were basic and widely available—functional but essential for everyday use. Grade D offered slight enhancements, adding a bit more reliability. Grade C introduced notable improvements that are ideal for mid-level trainers. As the quality reached Grade B, items gained advanced features and superior performance, becoming essential for experienced trainers. Grade A represented high-quality craftsmanship and capabilities, often sought after for competitive use. Grade S items embodied masterful craftsmanship and were reserved for peak performers. Beyond this, the SS grade signified elite-level items with extraordinary effects, often tied to rare or unique circumstances. Finally, Grade SSS was reserved for the legendary—items of unparalleled quality, tied to myths or the rarest achievements.

The brush currently in use was custom-designed for Fire-types like Rin's Ninetails. Tailored to the Vulpix line, it was crafted from a special blend of heat-resistant materials and polished scales sourced from Pokémon known for their resilient, smooth hides, such as Arcanine or Torkoal. Combined with a lightweight, flame-tempered alloy handle, these scales created a durable yet gentle tool. The bristles were treated with a balm that enhanced the luster of fire-type fur, ensuring Ninetales' coat remained radiant and protected.

Uther eyed the flames suspiciously, lingering on their flickering dance as if they held secrets meant only for him. Trusting his instincts had served him well thus far, and something about the fire felt… off. His gaze shifted to Ninetails, poised beside Rin, its nine tails fanned out in a display of both elegance and power.

His cunning, unflinching daughter had somehow circumvented the clan's rules. It was obvious that this Ninetails hadn't been acquired recently—nor had it come under her command through any legal means. Why does she possess a Pokémon clearly owned before she turned eighteen?

"Daughter," Uther's voice broke the whispers circulating through the room, dripping with authority and a simmering undercurrent of disapproval. His eyes bore into Rin's, refusing to waver. "What level is that Ninetails?"

Rin met his gaze, a coy smile curling at her lips as her fingers lazily combed through one of Ninetails' luxurious tails. "Uh, like, it's Level 58, Father. Oh! Wait. Fifty-eight point two, actually!" she responded in an almost sing-song tone.

A Rookie Trainer license and a Pokémon over Level 58—absurd. She had barely passed her exams, achieving top marks second only to Gary Oak. Her husband was ranked 20th in the Advanced Course—a feat of its own, and one Uther intended to have her explain later.

Pokémon levels listed by the League improved through subsequent battles and training. No matter how perfect the Pokémon is born with, they won't get any stronger if they don't train. When leveled up, all of the Pokémon's abilities improved with it.

It ranges from 0.1-10 for each level. For example, Rin Nintails would be low class in the 50 range, almost to B rank trainer top Pokémon.

0.1 to 0.4 are low class, middle 0.5 to 0.7, and high class would be 0.8 to 0.9, then the Pokémon would level up. This can take months to even years to reach the levels of thirties.

"Linda, scan that Vulpix," Uther instructed his personal maid curtly, a flicker of impatience betraying his usually composed demeanor.

"Already done, Master Uther," the old maid said as she stepped forward, handing him the stack of meticulously prepared papers.

"Just how many Pokémon do you have, Rin?" Uther demanded, brow furrowing.

"Fifty-five, duh!" Rin responded, almost rolling her eyes. "I have my six dragon main team, and, like, the rest are just stepping stones, ya know? If they can't beat my regulars, they have no right to challenge my dragons." She ended the sentence with a confident grin, her eyes glinting defiantly.

Grounded. She's absolutely going to be grounded.

Ignoring his instincts to discipline his youngest, Uther turned to diagrams, charts, and verbose analysis detailing everything about Rin's Pokémon—from their medical history to their genetic capabilities compared to others of the same species.

The clan's access to A-Rank medical technologies gave them deeper insights and details unavailable to the average trainer.

Sure, it cost tens of thousands of Pokédollars, but it was worth it.

Being rich is fucking goated.

Uther looked over Rin's Ninetales again and felt his frustration spike. She was going to be grounded for the next ten years.

Summary Notes:
As a Ninetales, Flare has exceptional potential with a strong emphasis on her Special Attack and Speed. Compared to a typical Ninetales, her base HP is notably higher, providing her with increased durability in battle. Her Aura Level suggests she is equivalent to a Pokémon that would be used by a trainer with at least four badges, indicating significant combat experience and power.

Flare's ability, Drought, is graded at a C level, making her a solid contender in weather control, particularly in boosting Fire-type moves. With an array of held items and a well-optimized EV distribution, she is designed to excel in Special Attack, allowing her to hit hard while maintaining enough Speed to outpace her opponents.

Overall, Flare's diverse move set, elemental affinities, and tactical use of items make her an extremely versatile and formidable asset. She is adept at handling a range of battle conditions, with particular expertise in Fire-type moves, setting her up as a dominant force in battle scenarios that favor offensive and strategic play.

"Daughter of mine! Thou hast but one week to earn the Pewter City gym badge, and that in Radical Red Mode—or thou art grounded, and thy husband shall be compelled to divorce thee!"

Uther's voice rang out with all the authority of an ancient ruler, his tone both commanding and deliberate, the weight of tradition behind every word. It was a sharp, unyielding proclamation, echoing through the room like a formal challenge. He knew well enough what his youngest daughter would think—a mixture of anger and indignation, surely. This was a hastily made decision, driven by frustration, but Rin deserved no less. If the League were to discover her clandestine methods, it would bring not just disgrace upon her, but ruin to the entire clan.

What Uther had not anticipated, however, was the immediate, suffocating pressure of Rin's aura. It hit like a storm, a wild torrent of raw energy. The very air seemed to twist and compress as Rin's presence grew oppressive. The ground trembled beneath them, the walls seemed to shiver—and most of the gathered clan collapsed in an instant, brought to their knees by the overwhelming force. Only Uther himself and his other daughters remained standing, their eyes wide in disbelief.

Rin's eyes blazed with unrestrained fury, the energy flickering around her like flames that refused to be tamed. Her expression was both angry and defiant. A smile curled at her lips, but it wasn't friendly—it was a challenge, daring anyone to speak against her.

For a fleeting moment, Uther wondered if he should be proud or terrified. His daughter was powerful, no doubt, but something about that strength made him question whether it could still be controlled—if she could still be controlled.

Also, when did she learn how to control her aura?
