Chapter 98: Continuing the mission
Rose them remember something. "Now that we think about we haven't seen that many Delta Pokémon recently".
Haru slapped his forehead in frustration, realizing how much time had passed since he first set foot in Kanto. The reason he had come here was to track down more Delta Pokémon, a task that had now slipped his mind due to all the recent events. His focus had shifted to the bond evolutions and the deepening relationships with his Pokémon, but there was still an important mission to complete.
"Shit, I forgot," Haru muttered, cursing under his breath. "I came to Kanto to track down Delta Pokémon and get more data on them, not just to train and bond with my own team."
Suicune, who had been observing the conversation, raised an eyebrow. "You've been so focused on evolving your Pokémon, you forgot about the very reason you traveled here?"
Sabrina crossed her arms, a smirk tugging at the corner of her lips. "Seems like you got a little too caught up in your own world. But it happens."
Rose nodded in agreement. "Delta Pokémon are pretty rare around here, but they exist. We just need to focus and find out where they are."
Haru took a deep breath, calming himself. "Alright, let's regroup. I need to stay focused. Delta Pokémon are still out there, and the more we study them, the better we can understand what's happening with these bond evolutions."
Sabrina leaned in slightly. "Well, now that you're back on track, what's the next move? Do you know where to start looking for Delta Pokémon in Kanto?"
Haru stood tall, a determined look in his eyes. "I'll have to start checking known areas where Delta Pokémon have been spotted. I remember hearing rumors about them near Celadon City and the surrounding forests. It's a good starting point."
Rose grinned, her excitement evident. "Sounds like an adventure! We'll keep our eyes peeled for anything unusual."
Suicune nodded, her expression thoughtful. "Delta Pokémon are rare and powerful. Whatever information you uncover could be invaluable in the long run."
Haru felt the weight of his responsibility settle back onto his shoulders, but he wasn't backing down. "We'll find them, and when we do, we'll make sure we're ready. This time, I won't let anything slip through the cracks."
With that, Haru, Sabrina, Rose, and the rest of their team set off toward Celadon City, ready to search for the elusive Delta Pokémon. Haru knew the journey would be difficult, but with his growing bond with his Pokémon, he was more determined than ever to uncover the truth about these mysterious creatures—and the power they held.
Sabrina then looked as she gave him kiss and hee badge. "Taka this a memory, good luck, I still need to be here to see more delta Pokémon, plus a Gym leader can't leave her city ungraded".
Haru smiler and he looked at her. "Thank Sabrina".
As then Him, Ross and Suicune got on Haru car, after they packed there bag, as Suicune then used hee power's ready too sense more Delta Pokémon, as they drove away as they did Sabrina saw them as she picked up her phone.
Sabrina then spoke from the other end. "Yes he is going too your city, yes he remembers the past".
The voice in the other end was another woman as she spoke, as she had a happy tone. "He remembers everything about the past, which means he probably remembers me as well".
Sabrina rollee her eyes as she spoke. "God even in this life you didn't change much".
The voice in the other end spoke. "Sabrina you know me sense we were kid, will in this life that is".
Sabrina sighed, shaking her head slightly as she leaned against the counter. She glanced out the window for a moment, watching Haru and the others drive away, before returning her attention to the conversation.
"I know," she replied, her voice soft but with a playful edge. "But I've always known you were unpredictable, even back then. Just don't cause trouble like you did last time."
The woman on the other end chuckled, a sound filled with mischief and nostalgia. "You know me too well. But this time, I promise I'll be on my best behavior… or at least try to be."
Sabrina's expression grew more serious as she asked, "What's your plan now? Haru remembers everything—he's on his way to your city. You two haven't spoken in… how long?"
A brief pause followed before the woman spoke again, her tone tinged with both excitement and uncertainty. "It's been a long time, Sabrina. But now that he remembers, I think it's time we finally face everything—together. He may not remember all the details, but he remembers enough to understand what's at stake."
Sabrina's eyes narrowed slightly. "Just make sure you don't push him too hard. He's been through enough."
The woman's voice softened, a gentle understanding evident in her words. "I know. I won't rush him. But I can't ignore the connection we have. This time, I'm determined to make sure he doesn't run from it."
Sabrina sighed again, but a small, approving smile tugged at the corner of her lips. "You always were stubborn, even back then."
On the other end, the woman's voice carried a sense of affection and confidence. "And you wouldn't have it any other way, would you?"
Sabrina smiled, her gaze turning thoughtful as she looked toward the horizon. "No. I wouldn't."
Sabrina looked at the collar I'd, as she spoke. "Never change Erika never change, hopefully he is not so shocked seeing you especially... Seeing how died during the war".
The mention of the war seemed to linger in the air for a moment. Sabrina's tone softened, a hint of sadness creeping into her voice. "I just hope he's ready for all the memories that will come flooding back, especially when he sees you."
The woman on the other end, Erika, gave a soft, bittersweet laugh. "I haven't changed much, have I? I'll be here when he's ready, Sabrina. If he remembers the past, then he'll remember me, and maybe we can finally put all of this behind us. We don't have to keep running from it anymore."
Sabrina remained quiet for a moment, considering her words carefully. She knew Haru—knew him well enough to understand how deeply the past affected him, how his memories of the war were still raw and painful. But Erika was right; Haru's return to the past was inevitable. The bonds they shared were strong, and they needed to be confronted.
Finally, Sabrina spoke, her voice calm but firm. "Just be gentle with him, Erika. He's not the same person he was back then. We all changed… we have to make sure we're careful with how we approach this."
Erika's voice was steady, but there was a deep sincerity in her words. "I'll be patient, Sabrina. I know how important this is. It's not just about the past, but about moving forward. Together."
Sabrina's gaze softened, and she placed a hand gently on the collar of her jacket. "I hope you're right. Just... don't push him too hard."
Erika's laughter returned, warm and reassuring. "I won't. After all, I'm not the one who nearly broke his heart back in the day. That was you."
Sabrina couldn't help but chuckle, shaking her head. "You really never change."
"I'll always be here when you need me, Sabrina. And when Haru's ready… I'll be here for him too."
With that, the line fell into a comfortable silence, and Sabrina finally allowed herself a deep breath. There was a lot ahead, but for now, she could only hope that everything would unfold the way it was meant to. Haru, Erika, and all the memories that bound them—she trusted that in time, they would find a way to heal, to move forward.
Meanwhile in that of the Road too Celadon city, as Haru was driving the car, as Rose looked at Haru as they both were in the front seat, as Suicune was in the back seat.
Rose looked at Haru as he spoke. "So Haru what was the biggest Difference inn the past and now".
Haru moved through road as he thought remembering past life. "The biggest difference was I gess, that the Physic type back then was called the Magic Type".
Rose them spoke a bit confused. "Wait".
Haru looked at her with a deadpan face. "It was time of swords, sending letters by bird type Pokémon and kingdom, what do you think why we called them Magic type, All Phsyic Trainer were called Magic Trainer".
Rose blinked, processing the information as she leaned back in her seat. "So, Psychic was called Magic? That's kinda wild to think about."
Haru nodded, keeping his focus on the road. "Yeah, back then, people didn't really understand the concept of 'Psychic energy' like they do now. It was all about mysticism, rituals, and divine blessings. A lot of things we now know as abilities—like Telekinesis, Future Sight, or Hypnosis—were seen as spells."
Suicune, resting in the backseat, hummed in thought. "That makes sense. Humans often attribute the unknown to magic until they develop a better understanding of it."
Rose grinned. "Wait, does that mean Gym Leaders like Sabrina would have been called 'Court Mages' or something back then?"
Haru smirked. "Something like that. More like 'Royal Enchanters' or 'Seers of the Kingdom.' They were highly respected, but also feared. In some regions, Magic Trainers were seen as close advisors to kings, while in others, they were persecuted as dangerous individuals."
Rose whistled. "Damn, the past sounds way more dramatic than I thought."
Haru sighed, gripping the wheel a little tighter. "Yeah, well... living in it wasn't exactly easy. Especially when you're caught in a war with legendary dragons at your command."
Rose then looked at Haru as she continued. "So what about Aura ability".
Haru nodded in agreement as he kept his eyes on the road. "Yeah, back then, Aura was second nature to everyone. People used it for sensing emotions, understanding Pokémon, even strengthening their own bodies in battle. It wasn't some rare gift—it was just a normal part of life."
Rose leaned forward, clearly intrigued. "So what changed?"
Suicune flicked her hair. "Humanity became more reliant on external tools. Poké Balls, artificial technology, scientific advancements... All of it made people forget their natural connection to Aura. Over generations, the ability weakened, and now only a select few are born with the potential to awaken it."
Haru sighed. "And those who do awaken it are either raised as Aura Guardians or kept hidden because most people don't even believe in Aura anymore."
Rose tapped her chin. "So you're saying that, technically, anyone could use Aura if they trained properly?"
Suicune nodded. "In theory, yes. But without the instinctual connection their ancestors had, it takes far more effort to awaken and control Aura now. Most people don't have the patience or the discipline to master it."
Haru smirked. "It's kinda ironic, isn't it? Humans advanced so much that they lost something that made them stronger in the first place."
Rose chuckled. "Guess that explains why you're so weirdly in sync with your Pokémon. You're basically living like an ancient warrior in a modern world."
Haru shrugged. "Something like that. But trust me, if people knew what Aura was really capable of, they'd probably try to exploit it all over again."
Rose shivered at the thought. "Yeah... maybe it's better that it stays rare."
The conversation settled into a comfortable silence as they continued toward Celadon City, the bright city lights growing closer with each passing mile.
Haru then looked at Treecko Pokéball, as he spoke. "I wonder if you evolve in this town".
Rose glanced at Haru, raising an eyebrow. "You really think Treecko will evolve in Celadon City?"
Haru smirked. "Maybe. It depends on how much we train while we're there. Plus, Celadon is full of strong Grass-type Pokémon. The competition might push him to his limit."
Suicune closed her eyes, sensing the energy around them. "Treecko has potential, but evolution is not just about strength. It is about readiness—both physically and mentally."
Haru nodded. "Yeah, I know. But I have a feeling Celadon might be the place where he takes that next step."
Rose grinned. "Well, if he does, I hope I get to see it. Grovyle is one of the coolest middle-stage evolutions."
Haru chuckled. "You just like the sleek ninja look, don't you?"
Rose shrugged. "Can you blame me?"
Haru looked at Rose as he spoke. "Something I forget I am talking to Team rock members".
Rose chuckled as she finger gun him. "X team rocket, now I am one of your loving girlfriend in your harem, plus as I have said many times I was never fully part of team Rocket, I liked the concept of Friendship evaluation a lot more".
Haru smirked, keeping his eyes on the road. "Yeah, yeah, I know. But still, it's funny to think about how you used to run with them."
Rose leaned back in her seat, crossing her arms. "Please, I was more of a freelancer than an actual member. And besides, I was more interested in Friendship Evolution than whatever Giovanni and Archer was up to."
Suicune let out a soft sigh. "It is rare to see someone who values bonds over power. That is why you stand by Haru now, is it not?"
Rose grinned. "Exactly! Besides, being part of Haru's harem is way more fun than working for some shady organization."
Haru rolled his eyes playfully. "Yeah, because dealing with a bunch of competitive girlfriends is so much easier than battling criminals."
Rose laughed, winking. "You love it, admit it."
Haru just shook his head with a smile as they finally reached Celadon City. Whatever awaited them there, he knew one thing for sure—life with his team was never going to be boring.
Rose then spoke looking at him. "Will othe then the Civil war you and brother did in Unova between eachother there was not actually any other war".
Haru then spoke. "About that sense you don't remember you full past life as the priests of Reshiram there was a war that happened between Ancient Sinnoh and Unova".
Rose blinking looking at him. "Wait why did a war happen".
Haru looked at her as he spoke. "Blame the church of Arceus and The Church of Reshiram and Zekrom, especially seeing that was the time to the Two Brothers who split Unova in half".
Rose then spoke as she got a bit of her past life memory of that time back. "Damm Regional war between Two Region, while at the same time one region was having a Civil War".
Suicune then spoke. "I am gonna gess the war was soo bad that it was better not too documentant it".
Haru then spoke still keeping his eyes on the road. "Or the records were lost".
Ross raised an eyebrow at Haru's words. "Wait, so there was a whole war between Unova and Sinnoh, and it just got erased? That sounds like a lot of history to just vanish."
Haru nodded, his grip tight on the steering wheel. "It wasn't just erased; it was buried. The war was fought in the shadows, and the aftermath was handled in secrecy. The Church of Arceus and the Reshiram-Zekrom followers were more interested in controlling what was left than allowing it to be remembered."
Rose leaned back in her seat, deep in thought. "That's... messed up. Two whole regions in turmoil, and no one talks about it?"
Suicune's voice softened, as though reflecting on the weight of the past. "It is the nature of power and faith, to suppress or erase what does not serve the current narrative. The damage that kind of war could do... it's easier to forget."
Haru sighed. "Exactly. The Civil War between my brother and me didn't help, either. With so much destruction, it made the past seem even more dangerous to look back on. The truth was too volatile."
Rose's eyes narrowed. "And your brother, he was a part of that war too, right? What was his role?"
Haru's expression hardened slightly. "He was more than just a participant. His ideals were what split Unova in the first place. The war between us wasn't just sibling rivalry; it was the culmination of everything that had been brewing between those factions. The conflict was rooted deep in our history, and it still affects me today."
Rose, now quiet, seemed to understand the weight of Haru's words. He shifted in her seat, looking out the window at the passing scenery. "That's... a lot. I didn't realize how deep everything went. So much history buried, it must have been exhausting to carry all that weight."
Haru gave a small, grim smile. "It still is. But life moves forward, even if the past tries to pull you back." He glanced at Suicune in the rearview mirror, his eyes softening. "I'm trying to move forward. For all of us."
Suicune nodded quietly, her eyes reflecting a deep understanding of the burden of the past. "Moving forward is the hardest part. But it's the only choice you have."
Rose leaned forward, her gaze meeting Haru's. "We're with you, Haru. Whatever comes next, we'll face it together."
Haru smiled, his eyes returning to the road as Celadon City came into view. "Thanks, I know."
