Chapter 11: Team Rocket
Elekid and Meowth was looking at eachother, Elekid moved as she Tryed to hit Meowth then jumped away as he then used iron tail, seeing this Elekid jumped out of the way as she then used Brick Break, as the punch almost landed with Meowth, but then Meowth then Jumped out of the way
Meowth then looked at Elekid. "That the best you got".
Elekid looked at Meowth, as he rushed at him with full forced as she used Quick Attack, Meowth gut attack, as then Haru stopped them.
Haru looked at his two Pokémon. "You did good, here you go".
He then used a hyper potion to heal both of them, as Haru was looking at Mudkip thinking to catch another Pokémon, but then he remembers Bugsy has one of his past Pokémon, he hopes that when he gets her back she will be not as angry as Staraptor as then Haru hear something.
As then coming out of the bush was Jessie and James, as they started to resitr there worlds
Haru just stop them mid way. "Oh it is you two idiots again"
Jessie and James stopped mid-pose as Haru's voice rang out. Their eyes widened in recognition, and they shared an awkward glance before turning to face him.
Jessie, ever the dramatic one, put her hands on her hips and scowled. "Prepare for trouble," she began, raising an eyebrow at Haru's unimpressed expression.
"And make it double," James continued, with his usual flair.
Haru just sighed. "Not this again. Why are you two still doing this? Didn't you get the memo that Team Rocket was destroyed years ago?"
Jessie shot a glare at Haru. "You think we're going to stop just because Red beat our old team? Think again! We're here to reclaim what's ours!" She pulled out a Pokéball and threw it into the air. "Go, Wobbuffet!"
James followed suit, sending out his own Pokémon. "Go, Koffing!"
Meowth, still a little disoriented from his earlier spar with Elekid, grumbled under his breath. "I can't believe I'm stuck with these two again."
Haru crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow. "Is this really what you're doing with your time? It's honestly kind of pathetic at this point."
"Pathetic?!" Jessie shouted. "We're the best at what we do! We'll get that Pikachu, and nothing will stand in our way!"
Haru, unfazed, looked over at his Pokémon. "Alright, Elekid, Meowth, let's show these clowns how it's done."
He gestured for Elekid to step forward, while Meowth lazily stretched, his annoyance evident. Haru wasn't in the mood for a long battle, but he had a point to prove to Team Rocket.
"Meowth, hit them with Iron Tail!" Haru commanded.
"Quick Attack, Elekid, follow it up with a Thunder Shock!"
As Meowth dashed toward Koffing, his tail glowing with a metallic sheen, Elekid rushed toward Wobbuffet with lightning speed, zipping past Jessie and James as she unleashed a surge of electricity.
Wobbuffet tried to use Counter, but Meowth's Iron Tail connected first, sending the blue Pokémon flying into the air. Koffing, trying to retaliate, launched a Smog attack, but Elekid dodged the cloud of toxic gas and hit the poison-type with a well-placed Thunder Shock, sending it spiraling to the ground.
Jessie and James stood there, stunned by the quick defeat of their Pokémon. "What just happened?" Jessie muttered in disbelief.
"Looks like you guys were outmatched," Haru said coolly, glancing at his Pokémon. "Maybe next time, don't waste your time trying to steal from someone who's already way ahead."
Meowth crossed his arms, looking at Jessie and James with a smirk. "I told ya, they're not worth our time."
Haru walked past the defeated Team Rocket duo, not even bothering to look back. "Get out of here, you two. And if you want to stay relevant, find a new hobby."
Jessie and James fumed, but before they could retaliate, Meowth hopped onto Haru's shoulder. "Yeah, that's right, you losers!" he taunted, giving them a cheeky grin.
As Team Rocket disappeared into the distance, retreating with a mix of rage and embarrassment, Haru looked down at Meowth. "You're surprisingly good at that."
Meowth flicked his tail and shrugged. "What can I say? I'm a natural at putting them in their place."
Haru then looked at them. "Listen, I know you two are good people, Meowth has told, you guys didn't come here to steal Pokémon just get back Meowth, so are you still working for team rocket, a team that is now holding on duct prayer to Arceus"
Jessie and James paused, the weight of Haru's words sinking in. They looked at each other, momentarily silent. Meowth, perched on Haru's shoulder, sighed deeply, glancing down at his former teammates.
James scratched the back of his head. "Well, you see..." He hesitated before continuing. "We're not exactly working for Team Rocket anymore. After Giovanni disappeared and the whole organization crumbled... well, we've just kind of been... figuring things out."
Jessie, ever the dramatic one, crossed her arms and scowled. "It's not like we wanted to be part of Team Rocket for life. They just kept promising us a big break, but it was always one disappointment after another. Then when everything fell apart... it was like... well, what do we even do now?"
Haru raised an eyebrow, his gaze shifting between them. "So you're telling me you're no longer loyal to a dying organization that was always a mess from the start? You really think Team Rocket is still a thing, with all its leaders gone and no real direction?"
James nodded slowly, his face softening. "Honestly, we've been stuck in this loop for years, Haru. I don't know what to do anymore. We tried to move on, but... we're still tangled in it. Especially with Meowth. He was the heart of the team, and after he left..." He trailed off, clearly feeling the loss of their old dynamic.
Jessie looked down, her posture softening for a moment. "We didn't come here to steal Pokémon from you, Haru. We were just... trying to get Meowth back. He's always been more than just a teammate to us. He's... like family."
Meowth, who had been listening intently, gave a small sigh. "Look, I'm not saying you two are the worst people out there, but if you really want to change, you gotta stop running around like Team Rocket's still a thing. The world's moved on, and so should you."
Haru looked at Jessie and James with a more understanding expression. "You guys are capable of more than just getting caught up in some outdated team with no future. You want to make something of yourselves? Then stop chasing a dead dream and start something new. Help people, work with Pokémon in a way that actually matters."
Jessie and James exchanged glances. There was a long silence before Jessie finally spoke. "Maybe... Maybe you're right. It's just hard to let go of something we've known for so long."
James nodded, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "Yeah, but... starting fresh might not be such a bad idea."
Meowth jumped down from Haru's shoulder and looked at Jessie and James, his eyes serious but also filled with a small glimmer of hope. "You don't need to be Team Rocket to be someone important. We can find a better way."
Haru smiled, feeling a sense of relief that perhaps Jessie and James weren't as lost as they seemed. "Just remember, you don't have to keep living in the shadow of what was. You can make your own future. And if you ever need help figuring that out... well, you've got friends now."
Jessie's hard expression cracked slightly, and she sighed. "Alright, Haru. We'll figure something out. But don't think we're done causing a little mischief once in a while."
James chuckled, glancing at Haru. "I wouldn't expect anything less. But... we'll find a new way to do it, without all the stealing and evil plans. Deal?"
Haru grinned. "Deal. Just stay out of trouble for once."
With that, Team Rocket—at least the remnants of it—turned a new page. Though they hadn't completely shed their old habits, it seemed like there was hope for them to find a better path.
As Haru walked away, he glanced back over his shoulder at Jessie and James, who were walking off in the opposite direction, no longer the same bumbling villains from his past. Maybe they can change after all, Haru thought, a little surprised at how the encounter had turned out.
He didn't know what the future held, but at least one thing was clear: even the most unlikely of people could find redemption. And that was something Haru could always believe in.
2 hour's later
Haru was eating his snack, as he remembers what Meowth said the one who runs the game is Archer and he felt like he was going to trouble, but one thing that annoys him
Haru looked at Jessie and James. "Can you stop following me, either join me or leave".
Jessie and James, who had been walking a few paces behind Haru ever since their conversation, blinked in surprise at his sudden outburst. They exchanged uncertain glances, not quite sure how to react to Haru's blunt words.
Jessie raised an eyebrow, her arms crossed. "Excuse me? We're not following you, Haru. We're just... sticking around. We did kind of agree to help you out earlier."
James scratched his head, a little flustered. "Yeah, we're not stalking you, but we've got nowhere else to go. And, well, Meowth's with you now."
Meowth, perched on Haru's shoulder, rolled his eyes and sighed. "These two have nothing better to do. You'll get used to it, kid."
Haru didn't seem particularly fazed. He wiped his hands after finishing his snack and turned to face Jessie and James, his expression serious. "Look, I didn't ask for you two to tag along, but I get it. You're trying to figure out what to do with your lives now that Team Rocket is done. But you can't just hang around like lost puppies. Either you're with me, helping out, or you're out of my way. I've got my own journey, and it's not something I want distractions in."
Jessie's eyes narrowed. "You think we're distractions?" She placed her hands on her hips, taking a step toward him. "We can be useful! Don't forget, we've got experience, and we're not as useless as you think."
James quickly stepped in, trying to ease the tension. "Jessie, maybe we should listen to Haru. He's got a point. We're not really sure what we're doing right now."
Haru looked at both of them, his gaze unwavering. "Then figure it out. I'm not going to babysit you. If you want to travel with me, that's fine. But you've got to show me you're more than just a pair of ex-baddies with no purpose."
There was a tense moment of silence. Jessie seemed to bristle at Haru's bluntness, but James, ever the peacemaker, seemed to soften.
"We'll help," James said, his voice steady. "We just need to... find our footing, I guess."
Jessie huffed, but then, surprisingly, nodded. "Fine. We'll follow your lead. But don't expect us to be all sunshine and rainbows. We've still got our pride."
Haru let out a short breath and nodded. "Fine. But don't slow me down. I've got a goal to reach, and if you're going to tag along, you'll need to keep up."
Meowth looked at the two former Team Rocket members. "Yeah, that's right. Haru doesn't put up with any nonsense. You two better step up your game."
Jessie rolled her eyes, but there was a small smirk on her face. "We'll see. You haven't seen the last of us yet."
With the conversation settled, Haru, Meowth, Jessie, and James continued walking down the road, each with their own thoughts swirling. Haru couldn't shake the feeling that trouble was coming, especially with Archer still pulling the strings of Team Rocket. But for now, the group had an uneasy truce, and Haru couldn't help but wonder if this odd partnership would actually be more beneficial than he first thought.
He glanced over at his Pokémon, all of them walking alongside him, ready for the next challenge ahead. He had his badge, but this journey was far from over.
They arrived in a near by town called Sun town, Haru gave Jessie and James some money to buy new cloth, and they did now they look like Ace trainers, he heard there was sunflora festival going on and then gess who Haru meets agin, Haru just saw Ash, Brock and Misty with them was another girl whose names Sonrisa. Also in typical Pokémon fason the trio don't recornised Jessie and James at all
Haru just looked at them. "Oh it's you three again".
Haru couldn't help but let out a small sigh when he spotted Ash, Brock, and Misty standing in the town square. They seemed to be talking to a girl who looked about their age, with long, flowing hair and a cheerful smile. But what stood out most to Haru was the fact that they hadn't recognized Jessie and James yet, who were standing beside him, looking completely different now that they were dressed in fresh new clothes.
Jessie and James looked a little awkward, but they seemed to appreciate the change in appearance. They had taken Haru's advice and bought new outfits that made them look more like regular trainers—no longer in their old Team Rocket uniforms, but instead dressed in neat, casual attire, blending in better with the crowd.
As Haru watched the group, he couldn't resist calling out to them. "Oh, it's you three again," he said, a grin tugging at the corner of his mouth.
Ash, Brock, and Misty immediately turned around, clearly surprised to see Haru again. It seemed like they hadn't expected to bump into him so soon after their last encounter. But what was even more surprising was that they hadn't recognized Jessie and James, who were now standing behind Haru with completely different appearances.
Misty blinked and looked at Jessie and James in confusion. "Uh... do we know them?" she asked, eyeing the pair cautiously.
Brock tilted his head, studying them for a moment. "I don't think so. They don't look like any trainers I've seen before."
Ash, ever the optimist, took a step forward with a wide grin. "Hey, it's nice to see you again, Haru! You here for the Sunflora Festival too?"
Haru couldn't help but chuckle at how oblivious the trio was to Jessie and James' new look. He could already tell that Jessie and James were getting a little impatient with the situation.
"Yeah, we're here for the festival," Haru replied casually. "But it seems like your old friends didn't recognize you two."
Jessie and James exchanged glances, trying to keep their cool, but it was clear they were ready to speak up. Finally, Jessie stepped forward, arms crossed and a playful smirk on her face.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't Ash and his merry band of trainers," Jessie said, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "Still as oblivious as ever, I see."
Misty blinked, still confused. "Wait, you...?"
Brock's eyes widened as he finally put two and two together. "Wait, you're Team Rocket?!"
Jessie crossed her arms and nodded, her grin now wicked. "That's right. But we're not here to steal your Pokémon, kids. Haru was kind enough to show us a different path. So, we're—"
"Ex-Team Rocket," James finished, giving a sheepish wave.
Ash looked between Jessie, James, and Haru, still processing the situation. "Wait... what?" He stared at them for a few seconds, then broke into a laugh. "Seriously? You two were in Team Rocket?!"
"Yeah, it's a long story," Haru chimed in, not feeling like explaining the entire situation. "But don't worry, they're not causing trouble anymore."
Misty, still processing the revelation, shook her head. "Well, that's... strange. But if you're not causing trouble, then I guess I'll take your word for it." She gave Jessie and James a suspicious look, though there was a hint of curiosity in her eyes.
Sonrisa, the new girl with Ash, Brock, and Misty, stepped forward with a bright smile. "Hey, if you're all here for the Sunflora Festival, why not join us? It's always more fun with a group!" Her cheerful demeanor seemed to diffuse some of the tension in the air.
Haru glanced at his Pokémon, who were still nearby, and then back at Jessie and James. He shrugged. "Why not? A festival might be just what we all need. And hey, it could be fun to show these guys what a real festival looks like."
Ash and Brock exchanged looks, and Brock smiled at Haru. "Sounds good. I could use a break from all the traveling."
Misty, still eyeing Jessie and James with a wary gaze, finally nodded. "Alright, I guess we can all hang out for a bit. But don't get any funny ideas, alright?"
Jessie smirked, crossing her arms. "Don't worry, dear. I think we've done enough 'funny ideas' for a lifetime."
James gave a small laugh, finally starting to relax. "We're just here to enjoy the festival too, I promise."
The group started to make their way towards the Sunflora Festival together, the atmosphere lightened by Sonrisa's infectious enthusiasm. Haru couldn't help but feel a little more at ease as they walked through the festival grounds, the colorful flowers and lively festivities around them.
As they passed by booths selling Sunflora-themed merchandise and snacks, Haru glanced over at his Pokémon. His eyes lingered on Elekid, Meowth, and Mudkip for a moment, and then he turned to Jessie and James, who seemed to be in much better spirits than before.
Maybe this odd group could work together, after all.
