As Lillian's lively voice announced the next participant, May gracefully stepped onto the stage. Watching from the stands, Harley smirked with confidence. His plan, crafted with Team Rocket, was supposed to ensure May would fail spectacularly.

"May, you're in for it this time! Even if I can't participate, my Pokémon— Cacturne and Banette—are more than enough to crush your chances!" he muttered, gripping his earpiece. "James, Meowth, are you ready? She's about to start!"

From the other end, James's hesitant voice replied, "No worries, everything's set!"

Harley's grin widened. "Good. May's humiliation is just moments away."

On stage, May decided to debut a new Pokémon for the Appeal Round—her adorable and graceful Kirlia.

"Kirlia, let's make this performance unforgettable! Use Psychic to lift these discs into the air and make them dance!"

With a flick of her wrist, May tossed several round discs into the air. Kirlia's eyes gleamed blue as its Psychic power activated, suspending the discs in midair. The discs spun and twirled rhythmically as Kirlia began a graceful dance, moving in perfect harmony with the floating objects.

"Kirlia, now use Charm!"

Kirlia tilted its head, its expressive eyes sparkling as it radiated pure adorableness. The crowd gasped in unison.

"Awww, how precious!"

"I want a Kirlia now!"

"It's so elegant and cute!"

The audience erupted into cheers, their excitement filling the stadium. Even Harley, watching from the stands, was momentarily stunned. His initial confidence wavered as he hastily grabbed his earpiece.

"What's going on, James?! Why isn't Ariados disrupting her? We gave you clear instructions!"

Instead of James's voice, Harley heard a calm, familiar tone—Ash's.

"Sorry to interrupt your plans, Harley. Looks like your tricks won't be working today."

Harley's face twisted in fury. "Ash again?! Why is it always you?! This is impossible!" In a fit of rage, Harley crushed his earpiece.

Back on stage, May's performance continued flawlessly.

"Kirlia, use Swift!"

Golden stars spiraled from Kirlia, forming intricate circles in midair.

"Finish it with Magical Leaf!"

Kirlia gracefully swung its arms, releasing a flurry of shimmering green leaves. The Magical Leaf attack merged beautifully with the golden circles, creating an explosion of gold and green that lit up the stage like a dazzling fireworks display.

The audience roared in appreciation, their applause echoing throughout the arena.

"An extraordinary performance by May and her Kirlia!" Lillian exclaimed. "The elegance, the coordination, and the final burst of Magical Leaf with Swift were simply stunning! Let's see what the judges decide!"

As the scores for the Appeal Round appeared on the big screen, May's performance ranked first.

"May's training is really paying off," Misty commented from the stands, sitting beside Ash.

"Yeah, she's becoming a real pro at this," Ash agreed, his Pikachu cheering enthusiastically beside him.

With the Appeal Round complete, the competition moved to the Battle Round. The matchups were announced, and May was set to face none other than Jessie's alter ego, the self-proclaimed "diva," Jessibella.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the final battle is here! It's Jessibella and her Banette against May and her Blaziken!" Lillian's voice rang out, hyping up the crowd.

On stage, Jessie, playing up her diva persona, struck a dramatic pose. "Hmph, May, your journey ends here! Witness the brilliance of Jessibella and my unstoppable Banette!"

May, undeterred, smiled confidently. "Let's give it our all, Blaziken! This is our moment!"

Blaziken emerged, exuding strength and determination. Banette, however, was equally fearsome, its eyes glinting with malice.

"Banette, Shadow Ball!" Jessie commanded.

"Blaziken, counter with Flamethrower!" May replied.

The attacks clashed midair in a fiery explosion, setting the stage for an epic showdown.
