Pokemon: Ace's Adventures!

Chapter 57: Chapter 57:Aerodactyle Is Caught!

Ash, Misty, Brock, May, Dawn, Serena, Gary, and Officer Jenny all felt beads of sweat forming on their foreheads. The sheer bloodlust and pressure emitting from Smeargle were suffocating, a stark contrast to the lovable, silly, and artistic Pokémon they had come to know.

Even Nidoking, Scizor, Dragonair, and Clefable—Pokémon with vast battle experience—had to do a double take. What they were witnessing was beyond anything they had ever expected from Smeargle.

The realization dawned on everyone.

Smeargle had snapped.

It wasn't just anger; it was pure, unfiltered rage. The moment Aerodactyl had said something, combined with Ace lying unconscious with blood coming from his shoulder, Smeargle had lost all reason.

While the humans couldn't understand what Aerodactyl had said, the sight before them—a massive, blood-red energy column stretching into the sky, piercing the storm clouds above Grandpa Canyon—made it clear. This wasn't normal. It was terrifying.

The energy column began to shrink, condensing and wrapping itself around Smeargle's small body like a violent, burning aura. Smeargle growled, its usually cheerful expression twisted into something primal and vengeful.

With a loud crack, Aerodactyl burst out of the rocky wall it had been smashed into, its wings spreading as it screeched in frustration. But despite being wounded, Aerodactyl still carried an arrogant gleam in its eyes.

It wasn't afraid.

Big mistake.

Aerodactyl screeched again and used Ancient Power. Large chunks of rock materialized around it, glowing with ancient energy before launching toward Smeargle.

However, before they could even reach their target, Smeargle's aura flared. From the red energy surrounding its body, multiple clawed hands erupted like extensions of its fury. They caught the incoming rocks midair and crushed them into dust with an ear-piercing crack.

Everyone's eyes widened.

Ash gulped. "Brock… What the hell is happening to Smeargle?"

Brock, usually composed, had a hardened expression. "I… I don't know. But this isn't just Overdrive Mode anymore."

Gary frantically pulled out his Pokédex, but the device merely blinked, unable to process the sheer anomaly before it. "No data available?!"

Smeargle let out a bone-chilling howl and disappeared. No—he didn't disappear. He moved at a speed beyond human perception.

Reappearing under Aerodactyl in an instant, Smeargle's small paw was coated in a dense, reddish-black energy. With an upward swing, the energy expanded into a massive fist—identical to Rage Fist, the signature move of an Annihilape, but instead of purple, it was a furious red.

Aerodactyl's eyes widened in panic.

BOOM!

The punch connected with Aerodactyl's stomach, sending it rocketing into the sky with a pained shriek. The force alone cracked the ground beneath Smeargle.

Smeargle wasn't done.

Clapping its hands together, the aura around it pulsed violently, sending waves of energy across the battlefield. The ground beneath Aerodactyl rumbled as thick, black roots erupted from below. They snaked around Aerodactyl's body, wrapping around its wings, its legs, its throat—binding it completely in a crushing grip.

Ash clenched his fists. "No way…"

Red lightning crackled in Smeargle's small paw as it prepared Thunder Punch, but it didn't launch it. Instead, Smeargle shot up into the sky with a speed so violent that it left a red afterimage.

Above the clouds.

The dark storm clouds roared as Smeargle raised its fist. Thunder raged from the heavens, striking Smeargle's fist directly. But Smeargle didn't flinch. Instead, it held the lightning.

Brock's breath hitched. "It's… holding the Thunder?"

Gary's mind raced. "That's not normal! That's not how Thunder works!"

With a roar, Smeargle shot downward, its electrified fist slamming into Aerodactyl's bound body.

The canyon exploded.

Blinding white light and ear-shattering thunder engulfed the entire battlefield. The ground quaked as a shockwave sent everyone stumbling backward, shielding their eyes from the intense flash.

A long silence followed.

When the dust finally settled, Aerodactyl lay in a crater, trembling. It attempted to stand, but Smeargle appeared in front of it in an instant.

THUMP!

Smeargle's paw slammed onto Aerodactyl's head, forcing it down. The prehistoric Pokémon whimpered, its previous arrogance shattered.

Smeargle's glowing red eyes locked onto Aerodactyl's frightened ones.

A blood-red Night Slash formed in Smeargle's paw.

It was going to finish it.

Serena gasped. "Smeargle, stop!"

Pikachu and Scizor rushed forward, using Quick Attack to intercept.

Smeargle's gaze flickered toward them. In a blink, it countered with Giga Impact.

BOOM!

Both Pikachu and Scizor were launched backward, crashing into the ground unconscious.

Everyone froze in horror.

Brock's expression darkened. "That's not Smeargle anymore."

May clutched her hands to her chest. "Then how do we stop it?"

Dawn's voice was shaky. "Smeargle only lost it because Ace got hurt… Maybe if Ace wakes up, he'll calm down?"

Officer Jenny checked Ace's condition as Clefable was still healing him. "But Ace isn't waking up anytime soon! We need at least five minutes for his injuries to fully heal."

The problem was clear.

They needed to stall Smeargle for five minutes.

But with every Pokémon either injured or exhausted, and Smeargle being ten times stronger than its Overdrive Mode, how could they possibly hold out?

The answer came with a sudden explosion of water.

A massive Hydro Pump blasted Smeargle away, slamming it into a rocky wall.

Everyone turned in shock.

There, standing tall, was none other than Blue Oak.

The Kanto Champion.

Beside him stood his ace Pokémon—Blastoise. But this wasn't an ordinary Blastoise. It was twice the size of a normal one, its shell gleaming with battle-worn scars. The sheer pressure it exuded was much more stronger than Smeargles.

Gary's eyes widened. "Dad?!"

Blue gave a brief nod but didn't take his eyes off Smeargle.

His voice was calm, yet commanding. "I'll take care of Smeargle. You all focus on healing the kid."

Smeargle emerged from the rubble, growling. The red aura around it crackled.

Blue exhaled, as he glanced at Ace before looking back at Ace's enraged Pokemon. Red was interested in this kids potential.

Blue smirked. 'Let's see if you're worth it, kid.'

Smeargle howled, becoming a blur once more.

Blue's voice was sharp. "Blastoise. Rapid Spin."

Blastoise spun at incredible speeds, faster than Smeargle, and slammed into it. Smeargle crashed into the ground, growling as red sparks flared in its aura.

Blue's eyes narrowed. "Gyro Ball."

Blastoise, coated in steel energy, spun forward. Smeargle used Discharge, sending red lightning everywhere—but it had no effect on Blastoise.

Smeargle gasped at it was again slamed into the ground. The sheer difference between the strength between Smeargle and the Champion/legendary level Blastoise was too obvious.

Blue smirked. "Aura Sphere."

A blast of energy shot forward, slamming Smeargle into the canyon wall. Smeargle struggled to rise from the rubble, its body trembling as the intense red aura around it waned. Its once overwhelming presence had diminished, leaving only traces of residual energy flickering around its form. Its eyes, still glowing faintly with rage, locked onto Blastoise, who stood firm, ready to attack at Blue's command.

Blastoise tensed as Smeargle raised its small paw. A sphere of crimson energy, pulsating violently, formed in its grasp.

Blue's eyes narrowed. "Blastoise, finish th—"

But before he could give the order, something happened that shocked everyone.

Ace—who had been unconscious just moments ago—had somehow appeared right beside Smeargle, as if he had teleported.

Gasps erupted around the battlefield.

"Wha—?! How is he awake?!" Dawn exclaimed in disbelief.

"Did he just teleport?!" May shouted, eyes wide.

Brock, Ash, and Gary could only stare, stunned.

But that wasn't the most shocking thing.

Ace's eyes were glowing—a mesmerizing rainbow hue that pulsed softly, almost hypnotically. It was unlike anything anyone had ever seen before.

Smeargle, still locked in its battle instincts, turned its gaze toward Ace, the red glow in its eyes flickering uncertainly.

Without hesitation, Ace placed a gentle hand on Smeargle's head.

The moment he did, the violent red aura that had consumed Smeargle shuddered, then began to shift. The furious, unstable energy that had made it a rampaging beast started to dissipate, replaced by its original rainbow aura, now flowing calmly around its body.

Ace smiled warmly, his voice soft yet reassuring. "It's okay, buddy. I'm fine."

Smeargle's eyes trembled, its body shuddering. The battle-high, the rage, the overwhelming bloodlust—it all drained away in an instant.

Small tears welled up in Smeargle's eyes before its body finally gave out. The rainbow aura flickered one last time before completely vanishing.

And with that, Smeargle collapsed, unconscious.

Ace caught it just in time, his arms wrapping securely around his loyal partner. He let out a relieved sigh before standing up, carrying the exhausted Smeargle in his arms.

He turned to face everyone, smiling apologetically. "Uh… Sorry for all the trouble Smeargle caused—"

Before he could even finish, he was suddenly tackled by three bodies, engulfing him in a warm, suffocating embrace of three pairs of Boobs.

"ACE, YOU IDIOT!" May, Dawn, and Serena cried out in unison, their arms wrapped tightly around him. Tears streaked their faces as they pressed against him, their emotions pouring out.

Ace, caught completely off guard, barely had time to react. His body was sandwiched between the three girls, his face buried in soft warmth of their chests.

'I-I think I'm in heaven…' Ace thought, his inner pervert celebrating the unexpected softness surrounding him.

"I-It's okay! I'm really—mmph—fine!" Ace tried to reassure them, but his muffled voice only made the girls hug him tighter.

Brock, witnessing the scene, clenched his fists dramatically, tears streaming down his face. "IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME!!"

Ash blinked in confusion. "Huh? What do you mean, Brock?"

Misty let out an exaggerated sigh, rubbing her temples. "Ash… You are way too naïve."

Meanwhile, Gary stood beside Blue, his gaze still on Ace. "What do you think, Dad?"

Blue smirked, arms crossed. "He's interesting, that's for sure." His mind drifted to his younger years, recalling a memory of when he and his two best friends—Red and Green—fought against a dangerous organization.

'He reminds me of him…'

While everyone was processing what had just happened, Officer Jenny finally let out a relieved breath. She strode toward Hunter J, who was still unconscious on the ground. Pulling out a pair of heavy-duty handcuffs, she locked them tightly around the infamous hunter's wrists while confuscating her pokeballs after returning her Salamence.

Her eyes flickered toward Scizor, who stood nearby after gaining consciousness again. It was still glaring at J's limp form. The red bug Pokémon flexed its claws, a clear sign that it still wanted to finish her off.

Jenny smirked. 'Honestly, Scizor breaking every one of her teeth was probably a fitting punishment for all the crap she's pulled today.'

With J secured, Jenny turned her attention back to Ace and his team. The crisis was over.

After a moment, Ace reluctantly pulled himself away from the hug—though a part of him definitely wanted to stay longer. He took a deep breath before shifting his focus to his Pokémon, checking on their conditions.

Then, his gaze landed on Aerodactyl.

The prehistoric Pokémon still lay on the ground, battered and unmoving. It had been defeated so utterly, so overwhelmingly, that it didn't even try to stand. But more than its injuries, what kept it frozen in place was fear.

Its trembling eyes locked onto Ace.

This human…

This trainer…

He commanded that Smeargle.

And that Smeargle had almost killed it.

Aerodactyl had lived its whole life as a predator, as a ruler of the skies. Yet, for the first time, it had felt what it meant to be prey.

Ace stepped forward, pulling out an empty Poké Ball.

Everyone watched in anticipation.

Ace met Aerodactyl's wary gaze and spoke in a calm yet firm voice.

"You're my Pokémon now."

A heavy silence followed.

Aerodactyl's eyes flickered with hesitation. It turned to look at the Poké Ball in Ace's hand, then back at Ace.

This trainer's presence was strong—undeniable.

After a moment of hesitation, Aerodactyl closed its eyes, then slowly, willingly, tapped its forehead against the Poké Ball.

The sphere opened, engulfing Aerodactyl in red light.

Shake.

Shake.

Ding!

The Poké Ball stopped moving.

Aerodactyl was caught.

Ace smiled as he lifted the ball, a sense of satisfaction washing over him. He immediately pulled out his Pokédex, eager to check his new Pokémon's data.

Ace blinked. "...Wait a second."

His eyes scanned the long list of moves.

Why the hell didn't Aerodactyl use any of these during the fight?

With a sigh, Ace shook his head. That was a question for later. Right now, they had bigger priorities.

At that moment, the sound of sirens filled the air.

Police cars arrived, followed closely by an entire squad of officers ready to take Hunter J and her grunts into custody.

Paramedics rushed onto the scene, quickly assessing the injuries of everyone involved.

Ace barely had time to react before he was dragged away by May, Dawn, and Serena.

"Whoa, wait—!"

"You're getting checked first!" Serena huffed, pulling his arm.

"No arguments!" May added.

Dawn nodded. "You scared us half to death, Ace! We're not letting you walk this off!"

As Ace was forcibly escorted toward the ambulance, he let out a defeated sigh.

'At least I caught Aerodactyl…'
