Appreciate the support from you guys!

I'm going to start doing fun facts in this corner every so often, which may or may not be related to that chapter. For today's it is.

Did you guys know Chloe and Goh did actually go to one of Oak's Summer Camp? It was one Ash was invited to, but Oak made the decision for them to leave without him. By time Ash woke up, the whole group had long left.

As a result Ash, had to go to a later one, which resulted in him meeting Serena.

Don't forget to drop those power stones, let's aim for that 500!

So Chloe and Goh are the first to arrive of the fifteen participants, huh? Me, Gary, Green, and Ash are considered to be the first four, as Professor Oak already reserved four spots for us. He also gave one to Daisy, but Daisy declined, as expected.

It seems Professor Cerise also recently opened his lab. As I recall, Professor Oak stated Professor Cerise was a genius of his generation, passing the Professor Exam with flying colors. The location where he opened his lab is Vermillion City. It probably won't be long until Professor Cerise starts giving out Kanto starters for Trainers when they turn 15.

That is actually great cause during my stay here since I arrived five years ago, I would always see Oak's lab swarmed with trainers from all over Kanto. He hasn't specifically requested of me to start giving out starters myself, so I'm not sure if I'd be a part of that anytime soon.

This will ease Professor Oak's workload, effectively splitting the Kanto in half. Trainers in the west side of Kanto can still easily travel to Oak's Lab to get their starter, while trainers in east side of Kanto don't need to cross over the mountains or go out of their way taking day long driving trips or even flying anymore. They can just head on down to Vermillion City.

As for me, I just stood next to Oak, watching Chloe, Goh and Professor Cerise with interest. As for the two kids, they looked back at me, or more specifically, the top of my head. Vulpix likes to rest there or on my shoulder most of the time, and now she was on top of my head, looking at the new arrivals. Even Professor Cerise was surprised with my current appearance. Besides Vulpix on top of me, I said was currently wearing my lab coat.

"So the Professor Oak has an assistant now. Aren't you a bit young for that?", Cerise asked, looking at me.

"Haha, it's an unofficial title. I can't do any official research until I partake in Pokemon School.", I replied.

"That's right. Even so, Itsuki here has been a great help. I know it's still a couple days till you turn five, but why don't you take Chloe and Goh and go play in the ranch? I already let the others know to come join."

Hearing Oak suddenly say that, Goh's eyes shifted from Vulpix to him, and they sparkled.

"Really!? We can go play outside?"

"Yes. Just follow Itsuki when you two head out."

"Yay!", Goh responded happily.

"...", Chloe stayed silent, and even shivered a bit. She then hid behind Professor Cerise. Seeing this, Cerise's curiosity changed into laughter, placing his hand over her head and ruffled it.

"Hahaha, don't mind Chloe. She's still shy around Pokemon. Besides the Yamper we adopted recently, she hasn't opened up to anyone else yet. Chloe, you can enjoy playing out back, can't you?"

"Yes...", Chloe said with a quiet tone, acting shy.

"Great. I will stay behind with Professor Oak to get further acquainted. I know we arrived pretty early, but are we expecting others?"

"Hmm, you three are the first to arrive, actually. Normally each camp I host only has ten slots, but increased it to fifteen for this one and sent invitations out to other regions. We'll have nine more coming throughout the next week or two. I don't see any of them coming today."

"Is that so...", Professor Cerise replied, scratching his head a bit.

Seeing the two Professors start to converse, I decided it was a good time to to take Chloe and Goh out back to the ranch. I took Vulpix down from my head, putting her into my arms. It seems she was already starting to like Goh and was curious of Chloe. Though as we left, Chloe didn't say much and still stayed wary.

As I recall, Chloe was actually very shy when she was young if she wasn't around her friends. But if she did end up becoming your friend, she would actually fight for you if she saw one of her friends get bullied and the like. Well, seeing her not run away to start with, I'd count that as a win.

And as we left to the back, a thought did cross my mind seeing these three arrive here.

Mew!

Goh's main aspiration was to catch every single Pokemon once he finished his schooling, to work his way up to catching Kanto's mythical legendary Pokemon, Mew. It would eventually be from here that Project Mew would come into existence. Heck, even Goh had a lucky encounter with Mew during his Summer Camp. And since he's here now, I may be able to witness that!

With that in mind as we left, Professor Cerise looked back to our retreating figures once more. He then spoke out to Professor Oak once more.

"Is that young kid seriously your Assistant, Professor Oak? I'm still having a hard time believing it."

"Hohoho, it may be like that, but Itsuki is. He may be more of a genius than you were. No matter what I show him, he absorbs it like a sponge."

"Seriously? And even I was at the top of my class!"

"It truly makes me wonder who his parents were. Though I fear his talent for battling may even be stronger than that head of his...", Professor Oak mumbled.

"Battling? Are you saying he's already done a battle before?"

"Hmm, let's just leave it at that. One thing is for sure, if you were at the top of your generation, Professor Cerise, then he'll have good chance to reach the top of his."

"I see. Well, I still want to thank you for giving us your invitation. It'll be a pleasure to speak with you, even if it's just for a short time, Professor Oak.", Professor Cerise smiled. Seeing Oak not wanting to dive into that topic any more, Cerise decided to change it and thanked him again.

Professor Oak responded in kind.

"Likewise, Professor Cerise."

The two then started to get more acquainted with each other in his lab. Delia brought over Gary, Ash and Green, and left after meeting the new arrivals. It didn't take long for all six of us to get acquainted with each other, becoming friends in the process. Chloe was starting to open up to us too.

But unbeknownst to us, or to Pallet Town in general, it appeared those other nine people who received their invitation to Summer Camp have started to gather their things, getting ready to set off to Kanto...

Orange Islands, Tangelo Island.

This was one of many islands in the whole archipelago of Orange Islands, a string of islands that runs the Orange League, located not too far away from Kanto. Tangelo Island was known for its Pokemon Park, a highly attractive tourist destination. It had many resorts and boating docks as well, sporting many different kinds of boats, ranging from your standard fishing boat, to cruisers, to even yachts.

Standing in the one of nearby docks in front of the beachside cities, was a child appearing to be 7 or 8. He had black hair parting down the sides of his face, revealing a red headband around his forehead. He was wearing a green shirt and red shorts, wearing a small backpack. A little letter could be seen in his hands, as he stood watching his family pack up in a medium sized boat...

This child went by the name, Tracey Sketchit.

Johto Region, Goldenrod City.

Likely one of the largest cities in the Johto region, known for its wide variety of shopping centers and high rise buildings. It was very similar to Celadon City in fact. On top of that, a huge magnetic railway could be seen crossing through the city itself, expanding into the icy mountains in the beyond, where Mt. Silver was. This was the famous Magnet Train, which was said to be a train system that connected Johto to Kanto.

If one didn't feel like flying or driving, they could take the train.

Inside the train station were swarms of people waiting to board the newly arrived train. It was set to depart soon.

A kid about age five to six could be seen with his mother, patiently waiting to board the train, holding onto their luggage. This child was a boy. He could be seen wearing a small red sweater, black baggy pants and red and white shoes. He had a black and gold cap put on backwards over his head, which hid away most of his dark blue hair besides one large strand that stuck out of his hat.

This boy was none other than Ethan, and a similar looking letter could be seen held tight in his hand, waiting patiently to board the Magnet Train... (A/N: Ethan or Gold, do you want me to use the game names or manga names?)

And this was just the beginning. The gathering for the Summer Camp has started. Tracey, Ethan and the other seven have started to make their move!

*

More characters incoming. Tracey and Ethan are the next two besides Goh and Chloe. All I'll say is for the remaining seven, Cynthia is in.

Enjoy the chap and don't forget to use those power stones!

(I'm also of thinking of having Tracey be one of Itsuki's travelling buddies. Serena will of course be the other one. Let me know!)
