Pokémon: A Reincarnated Tale

This just goes to show that Ash is really treating his Pikachu properly, and is looking after him. I'm sure in the first month since he got Pikachu, it was a bunch of hurdles to cross, but just seeing his Pikachu at Level 20 alone carrying several moves that were shown in the anime. I was half-expecting to see moves like Volt Tackle or Electroweb as well, but at the very least, Ash's Pikachu has Electro Ball, which was another signature move Pikachu uses in the later regions. I recall Pikachu went through extensive training to learn moves like Volt Tackle. I do know it can be an egg move, but maybe Pikachu will learn it later.

"I can see you're raising Pikachu with care, Ash. Good for you.", I replied with a smile.

"Haha, it means a lot to hear that coming from you, Itsuki. Come on, let's go! I'm sure the other students are eager to watch these battles just as eager as I am.", Ash replied with a smile of his own.

"We'll do a quick swap to the newest version of the Pokedex before then you three.", Professor Oak said, reminding us.

We all nodded our heads. Gary and Green took the lead, and began to guide us inside Indigo Academy, with the Headmistress right behind them. Ash remained behind and stood beside me, and began talking up a storm of what transpired over the years. Sounds like he was on the right path at least, just even this last year I can see that Ash, along with both Gary and Green had grown considerably, becoming fine adults. I see no issue with them starting their own journeys. When I first left Pallet Town with Serena and Lillie, that was a lingering thought, but seeing just how far my friends have grown during their school studies brings me joy.

I don't have to worry about these three after Serena, Lillie and I leave Viridian City tonight after making sure Liko gets settled in.

We soon arrived in the reception hall. Professor Oak reached out his belongings and soon revealed three smartphone devices to us. He did his magic and transferred over all the data we had stored on our current Pokedexes over to the new ones. It was no longer cluttered either. It now had a touch screen to boot, and I could see several apps installed, as well as call functions on it.

"There we go. Good as new. I do hope you three will continue catching Pokemon and fill out the Pokedexes. Looks like you've caught quite a few already as well. I can't wait to see them in battle.", Professor Oak said to us.

"For sure! We've been keeping track of what we catch and been raising our Pokemon properly. It's netted us four badges already. I don't see us stopping our journey merely half-way through. We're going all the way to the Indigo League!", Serena said full of vigor. She even pumped her arm as she did.

"Mmm. It wouldn't feel right if we just stopped now. We plan to continue training after we get our remaining badges.", Lillie also said with a nod of her head.

"Hoho, having such aspirations is good to have. You know, we have a very large campus back on Paldea. When trainers go out to start their own adventure, we call them Treasure Hunts, not knowing what may be in store to find. Our little island does have gyms to add ot it, so if you ever find yourself in Paldea, you can take the gym challenge. It's mostly only available to our students, but I'm sure I can make an exception or two.", Director Clavell said, drawing our attention.

"You'd do that for us?" I said, raising my eyebrows.

"Of course. Consider it done with the relationship you currently share with Professor Oak.", Director Clavell said, and brought his case onto the table.

As Director Clavell began to click open the locks on his shiny silver case, Professor Oak handed us three our new Pokedexes. Even our call information was transferred over. It was hard to call people with the previous version we had, and now that we essentially had smartphones, contacting folks won't be hard anymore.

In fact, I even saw Cynthia's contact info on my contacts list while taking a moment to scroll through who I had registered. I could call Cynthia right now.

Since we're meeting up with everyone right now, it wouldn't hurt to contact Cynthia, right? She is already Sinnoh's current champion, and apart from the Sinnoh League, she doesn't have the responsibility of being a gym leader, so oftentimes, Cynthia would wander around to different regions wherever her fancy took her. She was an archaeologist who loved investigating old ruins. It is the beginning of summer though, I am not sure if she is currently taking a rest or if she's out somewhere.

"Itsuki?", Lillie called out to me, leaning her head over. Her eyes raised seeing Cynthia's name pop out on my Pokedex. 

"Just thinking of calling a friend. It's been a few months since the last time we spoke. And seeing all of us gathered here, I felt it was appropriate.", I suggested.

"You're going to call Cynthia?", Serena's eyes lit up. I tried to not remember the last time we called her. What she did...completely took me by surprise. She was stripped down to only her panties, which were the lingerie black-type of panties. The rest of her body was in the nude and her large breasts stuck out, gazing out at an open sea. She was at her villa in Unova then. I wonder, is she still there?

I quickly shook that thought away as Gary raised his eyes with interest.

"You're not referring to that Cynthia are you? The reigning champion of Sinnoh? The one that's currently undefeated?", Gary asked.

"You're joking. There's no way you have her contact information.", Ash also said, denying what we were currently talking about. I grinned hearing the two say that.

"Haha, sure do. It probably hasn't been made public around other regions yet but it's likely spreading like wildfire back in Sinnoh. Not too long ago, Cynthia declared a challenge to me at the start of our journey when she was facing her current opponents at the last Sinnoh League. It was a declaration to challenge me.", I said, explaining the situation at hand.

"Oh, you did talk about that during one of our last talks, didn't you, Itsuki? Does that mean you plan to head to Sinnoh next after completing your journey here in Kanto?", Professor Oak decided to ask us.

"I'm not exactly sure yet, it's definitely a possibility, but due to personal reasons I'll likely be heading to Johto next.", I said, keeping it vague. After all, I possessed both the Rainbow and Silver Feathers that came from Ho-Oh and Lugia respectively. Since Ho-Oh flew across the first route as I left Pallet Town then and graced me with its feather, it likely didn't pass one down to Ash. It was rumored that this feather gave Ash eternal youth and that was why he didn't seem to age a single day no matter where he was in the series, but I am not sure if there was any evidence to support that.

"Johto eh? If that is indeed the case I can give you a letter of recommendation to Professor Elm. He doesn't get out of his lab much, but he is known for his research in pokemon breeding and how pokemon eggs came to be. Back to our previous talks though, I do know my age is getting to the best of me, but wasn't there the topic of marriage at some point?", Professor Oak asked us, showing confusion in his eyes.

The moment marriage was brought up, some blinked their eyes.

"Wait, I remember seeing that broadcast. No way, Cynthia was serious about marrying you if you beat her at the Sinnoh League?", Green's eyes turned wide in shock.

"Oh right, there was that, wasn't there?", Serena also recalled the event that had transpired. This was the same event I referred to that was likely spreading like wildfire in Sinnoh. The Sinnoh League championships may not happen for me this year, but if I do go to Sinnoh next instead of Johto, it would take place the following year.

"That about sums it up, yeah. I was really taken by surprise the moment she said that on air, haha.", I said, scratching my cheek.

"Itsuki is going to be marrying someone?", Ash asked, acting confused like Professor Oak did. Gary placed his hand over his face and shook it.

"You're still clueless to romance matters ss always, Ashy-boy. Weren't you even following along with what was being said just now?", Gary said, taunting Ash.

"H-hey! I can't help it alright? Isn't Cynthia known to be super-duper strong? She hasn't lost to anyone right?", Ash wondered.

"As far as I know, she hasn't yet. But it is a fact that I have her personal contact information. You guys are making me want to call her even more now.", I replied with a grin.

"And with our Pokedexes now upgraded to the newest versions, I'm sure their battery life is quite long too. If you really are going to call Cynthia, why don't you have her watch your battles? I can hold the screen for you.", Serena suggested.

"That actually does sound like a nice idea, Serena. I'll see if Cynthia is busy.", I said, proceeding to tap the call button under Cynthia's name. The Pokedex then initiated a ring. We heard it ring for a few seconds, and then it clicked, establishing a connection to the other side. Seeing this was good, that meant Cynthia was available and didn't let the ring continue. Compared to our previous Pokedexes, however, this new one had a full video call function, and I soon saw Cynthia's long, golden hair appear in my view.

Cynthia couldn't help but blink her eyes, as she was likely able to see my entire person.

"Oh my, if it isn't Itsuki. Seems you managed to upgrade your Pokedex. I don't see you at a Pokecenter. Long time no talk right?", Cynthia said, greeting me with a smile. The others became excited as they could now see the real Cynthia before them, even if it was just through a screen. And thankfully, she was fully clothed this time.

Taking a good look at her current surroundings, she was definitely at a beach. I could see an umbrella hanging over her current position, providing ample shade. She had a foldable mirror that attracted the rays of the sun, likely trying to get a tan. She sure looked relaxed. Cynthia was currently wearing a black two-piece bikini.

"Haha, I could say the same to you. You sure look like you're having fun, Cynthia. Have you been well?", I decided to ask her.
