Pokemon - A real story

"You should know that I cannot decide all these things. Whether it would be your guardian or not, would solely depend on Salamence itself. If it doesn't want to do it, then I cannot force it.

Regarding marriage, Salamence is very young right now. The concept of marriage had not even appeared in its mind, so for now, I will have to decline. Even if it wants to get married, it would be the one to choose who it would marry. I will not force it."

Axel was very clear about it. Even though some of his Pokemons were in the king rank category, they were still very young to even think about marriage and Salamence had just come out of its baby phase. So, he didn't even bother to entertain this thought.

"I understand. But on the off chance that both of them decide to get married and have children, where would the children grow up? In this island, or in the outside world?", asked the leader.

"That would also depend on the parents and their decision. I will not say anything and I would appreciate it if you also don't interfere in this matter.", said Axel.

"I will also not interfere. Now, if Salamence agrees to be the guardian of my tribe then he will be rewarded handsomely."

"Reward? What kind of reward?"

"I have a personal move that I have developed over the years. Actually, it came from my father and he got it from his father, and so on. Over the generations, we have been trying to improve on this move and I can proudly say that this move might be the most powerful dragon-type move that you have ever heard of."

The leader had a habit of boasting things especially when it came to dragon-type Pokemons. So, Axel was not so hopeful but it was still a new move and since it had been developed for so many generations, it must be very good.

The leader started to talk about their tribe. Blue had many questions on the habitat of Salamence and he also wanted to challenge this leader with his Salamence. But the leader didn't want to fight for some weird reason.

Blue also didn't press it to fight. Last time, Axel didn't have much time to explore the place but this time he did. So, he went around to see how the tribe lived. The place was very fascinating. The young Bagons were also very curious about him and his Pokemons.

Next day,

Salamence was fully healed and now it was ready to fight again. The test before had ignited its spirit to challenge young Salamence and be at the top.

"Salamence, come over here. I have something to say to you.", said Axel.

First of all, he said about the move 'Draco meteor' that the leader would teach it.

But the response that he got from Salamence was very surprising. It didn't want to get away from him. Axel did tell it that it would have to be here for a week to learn and by that time, Axel would be far away to meet with Lucario.

This showed the amount of trust and dependence that Axel had on Salamence.

Yet, it had to grow and become independent one day. So, he convinced him to train as that would help it grow. It took some time but after getting some encouragement from other Pokemons, it decided to train here for a week.

Axel didn't think that it was the right time to tell Salamence about the marriage. It was still a kid and it didn't even want to leave Axel right now.

He also told the leader not to tell Salamence anything about being a guardian right now. He would do it in the future.

The next stop was the water crossing where the Gyarados lived. This was also the place where he had left Gyarados to train. Lucario had said that all of his Pokemons were with it right now, so he didn't know if Gyarados was there or not.

Yet, he was hopeful to meet his old friend after such a long time. The place was not too far long but it did take a whole day to reach there. By the time they reached there, it was already past the morning of another day.

Blue and Axel were surprised to see that all the Gyarados were staring at them. But this was not the stare of vengeance or anger. It looked like they were expecting them to come any time. They seemed to be informed about their arrival.

"Welcome Axel and your friend. We have been expecting you. The leader had already told us about you guys coming right now.", said the leader of Gyarados. This Gyarados was far too powerful for Axel but for Blue, it was very interesting to see such a Pokemon in the wild.

"It is nice to meet you again too. Lucario may have already informed me, but I am here to meet with him and also take my Gyarados back. So, where is it? Is it already with Lucario?", asked Axel.

"Oh, no. It is here with us. But right now, it has gone into a swimming competition with its friends. It would be right back in just a few minutes."

"Oh, I can wait. So, tell me. Has my Gyarados learned those 2 moves and what is its progress?", asked Axel as he sat on the ground. It was really weird to talk to such a big Pokemon while looking up.

So, the leader of Gyarados also came down to talk with Axel. The rest of the tribe went to their own work.

"I must say that your Pokemon has surprised me a lot. It not only learned those 2 moves but also ranked up and improved those moves to a new level. I am actually surprised by its development.", said the leader.

That was to be expected as it was Axel's Pokemon and Axel had the system. Axel already knew about the rank up of Gyarados way before as he had already seen its status page. He also knew about the moves and its development. But looking at the stats and looking it in real life was a totally different thing.

The leader did propose for Axel to keep Gyarados here cause now Axel's Gyarados was like an asset to them but Axel would not budge on it. He simply said that if Gyarados agrees then he would have no problem with it but it looked like Gyarados didn't agree to it. That was why the leader was talking to Axel.

Finally, after an hour, Axel could hear the rushing of water. The splashing of water could be heard and it was very loud.

"Oh, it looks like they completed their competition.", said the leader, and suddenly a huge splash of water attacked Axel, and all of them were drenched. The leader didn't mind it but Axel and Blue were soaked now.

Then he could see his Gyarados. The height of Gyarados had increased a bit. Axel didn't know that such a thing could happen so later in their life. It commanded a strong presence and it looked like it was the leader of this group.

The moment it looked at Axel, it rushed towards him and wrapped him to give him a hug.

"Axel, I have missed you a lot.", said Gyarados.

This was the first time Axel had heard it speak and it sounded like a young boy.

"It is nice to see you to buddy. I have missed you too.", said Axel.

"So, how much have you improved?", asked Axel.

"I have become very strong. Do you want to see my progress?", asked Gyarados.

"Yes, of course. Why don't you challenge one of the tier 1 king-rank Gyarados here?"

Gyarados shook its head and said, "No, none of them could give me a challenge now. I have beaten all of them. I want to fight one of my friends today."

Axel could tell that there were many minute changes in Gyarados. The way it moved, its behavior, and its attitude. All of them had changed. It looked more mature and hungry for battle than before.

"Of course, I can arrange that for you. Do you want to rest for some time?"

"No, I am ready for battle any time.", said Gyarados.

"Alright then, come out, Venusaur.", said Axel as he threw the ball in the air.

ROOOARRR

Venusaur came out with a beastly roar.

"It is nice to see you, friend.", said Gyarados.

"It is nice to see you too. Do you want to battle?"

"Yes. I will show you that I have finally surpassed you now."

"It looks like your habit of dreaming is still there. Let me show you the difference between us.", said Venusaur.

Since their ranks had been very similar, Gyarados and Venusaur had been friends/rivals for a long time. Just by looking at the stats, Venusaur was way more powerful than Gyarados but Axel had not seen it fight for a long time. So, he was curious as to how much Gyarados could push Venusaur.

As for the chance that Gyarados could beat it? There was zero chance.

Venusaur had been raised by taking the inspiration of Hashirama Senju, the god of the ninja world. It had not been sitting still after ranking up to tier 1 king rank. In fact, it had evolved and modified its move to a new level and it had become an absolute tank that would not die.

Even during the last tide battle, Venusaur was the only one that was left at the end that could battle with no injuries. This was fully due to its healing and tanking capabilities. At that time, it was not even a king-rank Pokemon but now it was very close to reaching tier 2 of king rank.

Before the start of the battle, Axel looked at the status page of Gyarados.

There were a lot of changes in its stats. First of all, it had reached king rank. This had increased its health points by a lot. It was now at 8500 was high for a tier 1 king rank Pokemon.

Secondly were its moves. It had learned those 2 moves that Axel wanted to learn. Axel was a bit disappointed that 'Space Rapture' had not leveled up to 40 and above but this could be understood as Gyarados had leveled up other moves to a very high level.

Axel first looked at the 2 new moves that it had learned.

Space rapture: An overpowered move that would literally rapture the space near the opponent. This would make the opponent impossible to move for 2 seconds. Only the Pokemon who have a higher rank and had a space-type move that could break this move could counter it.

Tenacity

Stage I : When Gyarados get into a fight and enter into a life-and-death situation, this passive move would activate. If the user survives, its defense and attack stats will be permanently boosted along with its stamina and infinity energy inside it.

It could do this for 10 times and then the move would enter its second stage.
