Pokemon - A real story

"Like the fact that the ally Pokemon would have to die for Kingambit to get that boost. You want to keep your allies alive and now you are thinking of killing them. This is contradictory and remember that this is the key reason why the trainers don't choose this Pokemon."

"But why? I mean I don't want my allies to die but if they did, isn't this going to be helpful?"

"Axel, you have experienced tide battles a couple of times but you are still very new to this. You don't have much experience. You are right about what you have said but this only applies when you are in the right mental state. During the tide battles, your mental stability was often challenged.

So, in order to survive, trainers could also go this route and deliberately kill their ally Pokemons. You should also remember that the word 'Ally\' not only refers to your Pokemons but also the Pokemons of their soldiers. It basically means which Pokemons your Kingambit thinks as an ally."

Like a light bulb suddenly coming to life, Axel got the point of what Blue was saying. This basically meant that during the harsh times, there might be fights between the trainers too.

"Another requirement is what your Kingambit considers to be an ally. If your Kingambit doesn't consider other Pokemons as allies then this ability is basically useless.

So, your Kingambit needs to have some sort of relationship or interaction with other Pokemons. It also depends on their emotional state. Like if they could make friends faster or not and normally Kingambit doesn't make friends faster. It is a warrior-type Pokemon and it has its pride. So, making friends and being emotionally connected with them is not their strong suit.

Even if it makes friends fast, this also means that your Kingambit is losing its friends and this would impact its mental state."

Axel did not like this one bit now. There were too many ifs in this Pokemon.

"Another thing is the amount of attack and special attack increase has a cap on it. So, it cannot exceed a certain point. Besides, it is also a matter of discussion on how many allies that it could incorporate during this ability. That is the gist of it. If you want further details, I have a file. I will send it to you."

"If there are so many problems in this Pokemons, then why do you want me to choose this Pokemon? It seems like there are good reasons for a trainer to reject it."

"Because of your system. Your system has magical powers. If you could upgrade the ability of your Kingambit properly then it would be a powerful ally. You just need to remove all the problems in this ability and enhance it ability somehow."

Axel needed some time to think about this. Blue was not wrong. If Axel could do it, then this Pokemon would be a tide killer. And Axel felt that it was possible somehow.

Like the ability in the game said the Pokemon only have to be defeated not dead. So, there was a high chance it could be upgraded that way. Regarding, what it considers as allies, it would depend on how Axel would raise this Pokemon.

Finally, there is a limit to the increase in attacks and special attacks. This could simply be solved if Axel was somehow able to evolve this ability. In short, it was possible.

"Axel, I believe that you have not grasped all the potential of your system. I believe that your system is capable of doing so much more but since you have never concentrated on it, you don't know. So, you should think about it."

"I also think about it in some way. Cause the system could literally do anything. If I were to take this step, do you think that I should get it now?"

"No, I don't suggest that you get it now. You already have a lot on your plate. You have a lot of young Pokemons and you also have Pokemons like Salamence that would need a lot of your attention.

You also need to concentrate on your older Pokemons. I can see that they are getting a bit slow, according to your standards. You need to concentrate on it. If you want to take my advice, don't get a new Pokemon until one of your Pokemons reaches pseudo-champion rank."

Blue had a wealth of experience and even he was feeling that he was not giving all of them enough time. So, Axel decided to take this advice. He made a decision that he would upgrade all of his Pokemons till next year and then he would get a new Pokemon.

"Blue, it is so nice to talk to a senior like you. Thanks for all the advice.", said Axel. He was feeling lucky that he had someone like Blue and Red to guide him when he was confused.

"Blue, can you give me some advice on Salamence? I mean you also have one, right?"

"That would depend on how you did to build it. Do you want it to be a special attack type specialist or a physical attack? Because it could excel in both and I would not suggest you to focus on both of them, even for you. Developing a dragon-type Pokemons is already a long process, so, only focus on one."

"It will be a physical attacker."

"Ok, that is good. Salamence could actually do both, hence my question. Now, first of all, you will have to concentrate on its defense and special defense. Remember, Salamence should be able to take hits for a long time. You have to bulk it up cause if a dragon Pokemon doesn't have a good defense there is no need to have a dragon-type Pokemon.

Second would be its ability and hidden ability. Focus on that and evolve it. Take an example of my Salamence. It had evolved its ability where the effect of decrease in attack stat of the enemy would be longer and for its hidden ability, the increase in attack stats would be higher.

This is not only for Salamence but also for other Pokemons, especially for dragon-type Pokemons."

"I can understand the value of ability and hidden ability but why especially dragon-type Pokemons."

"Because the effect of ability and hidden ability is higher in dragon-type Pokemons. Ability and hidden ability come from its genes and it is hereditary. Since the dragon-type Pokemons were extremely powerful during ancient times, their ability and hidden ability are stronger. Salamence is also a pseudo-legendary Pokemon. So, the effect would be even higher.

Now, coming towards moves. I am not going to comment on it. Every trainer has his or her own way of that. That would solely depend on you. But I can give you some advice like focusing on moves like 'Leer', 'Bite' and 'Crunch', which would either decrease the defense or increase the chance to flinch. This would help Salamence as it has Moxie as its hidden ability

But do focus on its anger. When it evolves to Salamence, it is not calm like before. It gets agitated very easily and it becomes very arrogant. So, do care of that.

Other than that, Salamence is ideal for tide battles due to its ability and hidden ability. So, you can focus on it too.

Remember Axel, I have been repeatedly telling you to focus on tide battles because in the future you will have to deal with them. Even though your Pokemons are well trained, some of them would need fine-tuning for tide battles."

After talking with Blue for some time, Axel messaged the people to take him to Aeus Island. As Axel and his team had made a lot of contributions about this island to the Kanto region, he had a free pass to come there any time that he wanted.

Otherwise, he had already missed the flight 2 times and they were still keen on taking him to the island.

Before the end of the night, Blue came to him and said that L had died silently. Axel took out the crumbled paper where he had written the details of L's daughter and told him about the situation.

"What do you want to do about it? Do you want to take any actions?", asked Blue.

"A daughter should not shoulder the crimes of her father. So, I will not take any action on it. Can you make sure that she is properly taken care of? I also don't want to meet her cause that would remind me of L and the kidnapping."

"I will take care of it. Don't worry."

Axel's mind was hovering around Kingambit and its capabilities. Axel had given some time to Salamence to get used to its new body because a dragon-type Pokemon would take some time to get ready after its final evolution. Because it would be a complete change on its body. Now, he thought that it was ready to fight and train once again.

Yet, he didn't have the time to make some training plans for it right now. He needed to get ready for tomorrow's flight.

The flight time was around 2 days and he had ample of time to decide the training regime in the plane itself.

Harry was having a troublesome day today. He had just been here in the Aeus island for about a month and there seemed to be no progress. He was also berated by his superiors because he was the one present when Axel and the team arrived.

Harry knew for sure that Axel and the team had discovered something on the far side where no one could go till now but since Axel and his team didn't cooperate with them properly, he could not find out about it.

Axel did say some useful things to him but he knew that there was something more. So, when Axel said that he would arrive here alone without his team, Harry got excited. He was on vacation because no one could stay here for long. But he personally requested his superiors that he wanted to come here at this time when Axel was here. He wanted to know the secret.

"BUT THAT DAMN KID HAD TO GET HIMSELF KIDNAPPED!!!", shouted Harry and slammed his hand on the table. The table was exceptionally hard and made from some unknown materials but it still cracked a bit in the middle. Harry was truly frustrated.

He didn't want to stay here for long cause he hated this place but now he could not talk and negotiate with Axel.

Then he got the good news that Axel was saved and he was coming here soon enough but Axel canceled it again. There was no problem for him to set up a plane to get Axel again. It could just be done with a tap of a phone. But he was still angry.

And now, after a few days, he again received the message that Axel was coming again. He didn't want to be hopeful, but he started to plan on how to talk with Axel.

Axel had a very big backup, so he could not force him to do anything. Yet, he felt that he could get something out of it. When he heard that Axel was already on the plane, he was confirmed that his plan could start.
