The Poké Ball struck the Primeape accurately and opened with a sharp snap. The Primeape transformed into a burst of red light and was drawn into the Poké Ball.

Immediately, the Poké Ball fell onto the ground, its button flashing red as it wobbled. After a tense moment...

The Poké Ball emitted a sound, the red light on the button dissipated, and it came to a halt. The Primeape did not break free, confirming the capture was successful.

"Yeah! Charmander, great job!" Ash exclaimed, his excitement evident.

"Char! Charmander!" Charmander responded proudly, placing his hands on his hips, tilting his head up, and closing his eyes with satisfaction. Misty and Brock exchanged relieved glances. "Finally, that troublesome Pokémon is dealt with," Misty muttered.

At that moment, the Poké Ball emitted a soft glow and vanished with a whooshing sound. Ash recognized the situation instantly—his capture limit had been reached, and the Primeape had been sent back to Professor Oak.

"Well, we're on the road, so there's no way to call him right now," Ash said, frowning slightly. "It's fine, though. This isn't the first time, and Professor Oak will know what to do."

"Still, it's always good to check in," Brock noted. "Pokémon can feel uneasy in unfamiliar surroundings, so calming them down is important."

Ash nodded. "We'll look for a phone booth ahead."

Misty sighed in relief. "At least it's over now." She stepped forward and lightly patted her chest. "In the end, we can always count on you, Ash."

Ash grinned. "Well, I hope Professor Oak is ready for the Primeape's temper!"

Back at Professor Oak's Laboratory, the Professor noticed the arrival notification and walked over to the teleporter. "Hmm, another one from Ash. What's he sent me this time?" he murmured, examining the Poké Ball on the teleporter.

He picked up the Poké Ball and released its occupant. A flash of light revealed a scorched black figure lying motionless on the floor, emitting a faint smell of burning.

"Huh? What is this? Is there a Pokémon like this?" Professor Oak wondered aloud, stepping closer for a better look.

Suddenly, the Primeape sprang up with a loud screech and delivered a swift uppercut to Professor Oak's face.

"Ahhh! It's... the Primeape !" the Professor yelped, landing on the floor with a thud. Dazed, with one eye already blackened, his legs twitched weakly in the aftermath of the attack.

After knocking down Professor Oak, the Primeape, still brimming with energy despite its scorched appearance, charged outside in a frenzy. It rampaged through the lab, overturning tables, chairs, and benches, leaving chaos in its wake.

By the time Professor Oak regained his senses, all he could see was the destruction left behind. The Primeape was nowhere in sight, and the professor rubbed his aching head, still feeling dizzy.

"Ah... Ash has certainly caught another lively one!" he sighed, leaning against a table to steady himself.

"Mi~!"

In the courtyard near Professor Oak's house, under a shady tree, Butterfree glided down gracefully and landed softly.

"Ivy-saur!" Ivysaur greeted the descending Butterfree with a cheerful call, extending a Vine Whip to gently pat Butterfree on the head. Another Vine Whip reached up to a tree and plucked a ripe Pinap Berry, offering it to Butterfree.

"Free~!" Butterfree chirped in appreciation, happily nibbling on the berry.

Suddenly, a loud "Awwhhh!" echoed through the yard. The two Pokémon turned to see the Primeape barreling toward them.

Startled, Butterfree fluttered upwards, while Ivysaur quickly moved to shield its companion. With a swift flick of its Vine Whip, Ivysaur swept the ground beneath the Primeape, causing it to stumble and crash face-first onto the grass.

"Awwhhh!" The Primeape, undeterred, leapt back to its feet and lunged at Ivysaur with clenched fists, preparing a Rock Smash attack. Butterfree soared higher into the air, staying out of reach.

"Ivy-saur!" Ivysaur stood firm, releasing a cloud of blue Sleep Powder from the bud on its back. The powder drifted toward the Primeape, who continued charging forward.

Just as its fist neared Ivysaur, the Primeape faltered, its strength fading. It collapsed onto the grass, breathing heavily with bubbles forming around its pig-like nose.

Relieved, Ivysaur watched the now-sleeping Primeape. As a Pokémon mindful of the lab's harmony, Ivysaur refrained from causing harm unless absolutely necessary.

At that moment, Professor Oak arrived, panting slightly. Seeing the Primeape peacefully asleep, he exhaled in relief. "Phew! Thank you, Ivysaur. This is Ash's new Pokémon, Primeape. It's your new companion, so please try to get along."

"Ivy-saur!"

"Free~!" Both Ivysaur and Butterfree responded, glancing nervously at the Primeape. A bead of sweat rolled down their foreheads. It was clear to them that this fiery newcomer wouldn't be an easy companion. The thought of a confrontation with Gyarados sent shivers down their spines. They quickly pushed that unsettling scenario out of their minds.
