PJO: A Professor of Hogwarts

Chapter 1: Retirement

Chapter 1:

I hate the Gods.

Why? Well, first imagine that you helped them fight against the Titans when you were 16 years old. Then after that nightmare you were dragged away by a goddess, your memories wiped then forced to go to a Roman camp for demigods then fight against a lethargic goddess of the earth along with her new children the Giants.

Then imagine after helping them with their troubles they don't say 'well done Jackson, what do you want in return?'

Ohh no! What they did after was simply vanish into thin air as if nothing ever happened. You're welcome by the way.

But worst of all, before I had to go to college I needed to do these stupid side-quests so that I could graduate in my senior year.

Who knew saving the world twice does not do you any good other than being alive.

Then after my life in college the Gods kept pestering me into doing more quests, one time I was even forced to go to a different pantheon for an exchange program, apparently it happens once in a while.

An example of this was when Hercules fought against Thor. Well Hercules, that snob, lost but was shameless enough to claim that it was a draw when he went back to Olympus.

Ohhh I could just imagine Thor's livid face right now.

Anyway, where was I?

Right, I hate the Gods. Why, you would ask? Because it has been 10 years since the Gigantomachy happened and they just won't let me rest. I'm basically their hero to go whenever there is a problem in Olympus. Not that I mind, it would be better if I would go instead of those young bloods back at Camp but things have changed since that war I have also a life outside of being a hero you know?

What do I do outside quests?

Parenting. Yes, I Percy Jackson is now a dad of two

The eldest is a girl, we named her Zoe to honor the bravest hunter we know. Now imagine the reaction of Athena when we did not name Zoe in any relation with her. She was quite angry that she turned me into an owl after hearing the news.

Thankfully that punishment just lasted for a day. But Gods she really my entire being.

Then the second problem came when I named our youngest child Luke, in tribute of the sacrifice he made at Manhattan. My dad was basically sulking. And you don't want the God of the sea's sulking. The weather for nearly a month was harsh if I say it nicely. Though to his credit no lives were ever taken at sea during those times. Well except for a few monsters, I guess.

So anyway, after years of quests, battling with monsters, fighting for the Gods.

I want to rest. I want to build a family. I want to be present when my children grow up. Not like how the Gods take care of their parents. No offense dad.

That was my dream, no rather that was our dream. But I guess I have to put that on hold as well.

Why?

Well, the Gods happened.

"Percy Jackson" A voice filled with authority thundered across the Hall as I was half- kneeling across the hall, "I have heard of your request for retirement. And I don't like it."

They are not really a fan my retirement. That proposal has been placed on hold. For quite a long time. But hey, at least I tried right.

"We have lost much of our forces due to the last war, why would one of our greatest champion desire to leave?" Zeus asked

I stood up from my kneeling position and said "Lord Zeus, I wish to leave for my family" I replied honestly

"hmmmmm…" Zeus seemed to stay quiet for a while then he said "you're reason is good enough but I'm afraid we can't grant that to you. You are far to important to be left on your own devices."

"And quite dangerous too." Athena suddenly added after Zeus was done.

You know I wanted to refute Athena like 'Come on mother-in-law give me a break from all the suspicion.' But I fear that she would turn me into an owl for a lifetime if I said that so I just stayed silent. I'm so smart. 'See that Annabeth, I can shut my mouth when it's important'

"That is why we would allow a time-off, no quests shall be given to you until Olympus once more faces a threat that can shake it's power" Zeus announced snapping me back to reality that I am currently in a very important meeting "However, to grant you this time-off we decided that you need to finish a final quest"

Now I know for a fact that this was good news. But my instincts are screaming of that something that is off. The Gods just don't become generous overnight. Specially they have been putting my retirement for nearly five years. So, this quest, I imagine, cannot be like how I was asked to water Demeter's city wide garden. That quest was hard but if you compare it with my quest of fighting Atlas, or my journey back to earth from Tartarus, well let's just say that watering is something that I have no right to complain about.

Zeus stood up from his seat of power, lighting and thunder rolled from the background. [show-off] He looked at me and asked. "Now Jackson, have you ever heard of Hogwarts in one your quests???"
