Phoenix Reborn In One Piece

Chapter 31: Chapter 31: You'll Always Be Our Mom.

After perfectly dealing with Arlong's gang, Ryuen finally felt relieved.

At first, Ryuen underestimated the fishmen's hatred for humans. He didn't expect that after killing Arlong, the other fishmen wouldn't run away but would angrily seek revenge for Arlong. This made it much easier for Ryuen to deal with them.

Now that the crisis was over, the villagers were all smiles.

"Village chief, please arrange for someone to finish off the unconscious fishmen and burn them all. Don't leave any traces!" Ryuen said with a smile to the seriously injured village chief.

"I understand, Ryuen. Leave it to me!"

"Cough, cough!" The village chief struggled to get up with the help of some young people.

"Be careful, village chief!"

"Take it slow, village chief!"

"Alright, I'll leave it to you then. I'll head home now!" Ryuen was satisfied with the village chief's attitude and quickly disappeared.

"Wow... Ryuen is really strong..."

"We really owe it to Ryuen this time. Otherwise, we would have been ruled by these ugly fishmen pirates..."

"Alright, stop talking and quickly finish off those nasty fishmen! Then burn them all as Ryuen said!" The village chief came to his senses and said seriously to the young people.

"Yes, village chief!"

"Don't worry, village chief, we'll handle it!"

"That's right, village chief!"

The young people were full of confidence and immediately took action. They carefully approached the unconscious fishmen with knives.

"Don't be afraid, overcome your fear and kill them! If we let one go, it will be us who die later!" The village chief shouted sternly when he saw the young people hesitating.

"I... I understand, village chief!"

"I... I can do it! Ah! Die, you damn fishman!"

The villagers gathered their courage, took their sharp knives, and stabbed the unconscious fishmen in the heart!

"I... I did it!"

"I killed these damn fishmen..."

"Sob, sob..."

"Village chief, we did it!"

The young people who killed the fishmen finally found their courage.

The village chief was very pleased with this: "Good, now throw them all together and burn them!"

"Yes, village chief!"

"Village chief, leave it to us, don't worry!"

The villagers were full of confidence. They were no longer afraid of the fishmen or these pirates!

On a rooftop not far away, Ryuen and Nami watched everything happening on the shore closely. It wasn't until the raging fire started that Ryuen finally breathed a sigh of relief.

This way, all the villagers of Cocoyasi Village were involved in this matter, which slightly reduced the risk of Ryuen being exposed. He also hoped that the villagers would regain their courage and bravely fight against the invading pirates in the future!

"Let's go, Nami, we're going home," Ryuen said, turning to little Nami.

"Oh, okay," Nami replied, opening a space door. The two kids walked through it and disappeared from the rooftop.

Just as Ryuen and Nami left, Bellemere and Nojiko ran to the shore, where the fire was still burning the fish-men's bodies.

"Chief, where are Ryuen and Nami?" Bellemere asked anxiously.

"Oh... Bellemere, Ryuen went home. He dealt with the fish-men's invasion. Without him, Cocoyasi Village would be in danger. It's great that we saved Ryuen back then!" the chief said excitedly when he saw Bellemere.

"Went home?" Bellemere asked loudly.

"Yes, he went home right after dealing with the enemies," the chief said, a bit puzzled.

"Oh, I see. Chief, I'll go home now!" Bellemere said, then ran towards home, not even caring about the unconscious Genzo.

Nojiko saw this and immediately followed.

"Chief, what's wrong with Bellemere?"

"Oh, don't worry about her. We need to burn these nasty fish-men completely!"

"Got it, Chief!"

...

Bellemere and Nojiko rushed home, just in time to see Ryuen eating heartily.

"Ryuen, Nami, are you two okay?" Bellemere asked as soon as she got home, rushing to check the kids from head to toe, worried they might be hurt.

"Don't worry, we're fine, Bellemere," Ryuen said, blushing a bit.

Bellemere was too enthusiastic and accidentally touched his sensitive spot while checking for injuries.

"We're really fine, Bellemere. Ryuen is amazing. He easily drove away those fish-men pirates!" Nami said excitedly, eager to tell Bellemere and Nojiko what had happened.

Bellemere still wasn't reassured and checked the kids thoroughly before finally relaxing a bit.

But then her face turned serious: "You two little ones, how dare you go fight pirates without me! Do you think you're invincible just because you have devil fruit powers?

Do you know who those people were? They were fish-men from Fish-Man Island! Their bodies are very strong, and they're unbeatable in the sea!

You two were so reckless, going against those scary fish-men on your own. Do you want to die?"

Ryuen and Nami stood there, stunned, taking Bellemere's scolding.

Nojiko, seeing Bellemere this angry for the first time, stood quietly by, watching her two friends get scolded.

It wasn't until half an hour later, when Bellemere was tired of scolding, that the matter was finally over.

In the end, Bellemere, panting, seriously warned: "Ryuen, Nami, Nojiko!"

"Yes!"

"I'm here, Bellemere!"

"Bellemere, just say it, I'll listen!" The three kids immediately stood up straight and answered Bellemere without hesitation.

"Sigh... I know that in the future, Cocoyasi Village won't be able to hold you back, but remember this! No matter what danger you face or what problems you can't solve out there, come back to Cocoyasi Village. This will always be your home." Bellemere said this with a somewhat sad tone.

"Bellemere..."

"We understand, Bellemere..."

"Bellemere, you'll always be our mom..."

The three kids hugged Bellemere tightly, burying their heads in her chest.
