Chapter 25: The Bargain of fire and blood
Jaceon already knew the devil will rebel in
hell because of his escape and by now preparing an army of demons to come capture him , so he made the move first ...
He already know something that the devil can never say no to....and that's what he would use to bargain for his life and Levi's as well.
The air was thick, silent, and eerie. A chilling wind swept across the abandoned park, rustling dead leaves like whispers from the underworld. In the center of that barren land stood Jaceon—no, Ahzi, first son of the demon lord—his body battered but his spirit blazing with determination.
He knelt on the dry ground, his fingers trembling as he finished etching the cursed symbol—a crimson, jagged seal with sharp edges and cursed markings from the ancient underworld script. He pressed two fingers to his tongue and bit down until blood dripped down his chin. Then he let the droplets splatter across the symbol.
In a low, raspy voice, he chanted in ancient Greek—"Ego, Ahzi, prōtos huios tou archidaimona, prospherō ton emauton gia na kaleis ton kyriarcho tou Katō kosmou…"
"I, Ahzi, first son of the demon lord, offer my life to summon the King of Hell…"
As soon as the last word left his tongue, Jaceon doubled over and coughed violently, blood gushing from his mouth and splattering over the seal. The ground beneath him trembled. Flames erupted from the symbol, spiraling upward like a vortex of fire and ash. The center of the circle exploded in a burst of hellfire—and from it emerged the figure no mortal should ever witness.
Tall, commanding, robed in smoke and shadow, his eyes glowed like burning coal. Horns curved elegantly from his skull like a crown, and his smile was a jagged line of malevolence.
"Well… well… well…" the Devil drawled, voice dripping with condescension, "a disobedient demon who fled his punishment dares summon me?"
Jaceon, kneeling but unshaken, lifted his head and stared straight into the eyes of his creator.
"I know what you want," Jaceon said, voice laced with conviction. "You're preparing to come after me. You want to bring me back in chains and make an example of me before your court. But I offer you a deal instead."
The Devil chuckled, circling slowly like a predator. "You think you still have anything to offer me after running like a coward?"
"I can give you souls," Jaceon said coldly. "Fifty of them. Fifty damned souls. All sinners. All ripe with corruption. I know where to find them."
That made the Devil pause. His eyes narrowed. "And what do you want in return, little traitor?"
Jaceon's fists clenched.
"Leave Levi out of this. Don't send your men. Don't chase his soul. Don't even let your shadows whisper his name. He is mine, not yours."
The Devil's laugh shook the skies. "Ah… So this is about love? A forbidden romance with a mortal boy?" He tilted his head. "And what if I say no?"
"Then you get nothing," Jaceon growled, standing slowly despite the fire licking at his feet. "You'll lose fifty souls, and a prince. But take the deal… and I'll sweeten it. After I deliver the souls, I'll find a way to break my contract. I'll return to you willingly."
The Devil stepped closer, his massive form towering over Jaceon. "Do you truly think love can save you, Ahzi? That little boy of yours… is your greatest weakness."
"No," Jaceon whispered, eyes blazing. "He is my strength. The only reason I crawled out of hell alive."
A tense silence fell.
Then… the Devil smiled.
"Very well. Fifty souls. No contact with the boy. You have three moons to deliver them. And when you're done… you return. Willingly. Or I'll tear the mortal realm apart to drag you both to damnation."
He vanished in a blaze of flame, leaving behind scorched earth and a heavy promise.
Jaceon collapsed to one knee, panting, the mark of the deal burned into his chest like a brand. He had bought Levi time… but at a cost.
And now the hunt for the souls had begun.
