After Their (Romantic) Relationship Has Been Established:
We were both sitting in our usual spots in my cove under the window that looked down upon the clouds of the earth and up at the stars in the galaxy.
Therein, we had each opted to read a book this evening instead of our usual casual conversations, our pages lit by only the cool moonlight and the twinkling stars above us.
It was hypnotic really, getting lost in fictional worlds, the passing of time only marked by the sound of paper hitting paper as pages were turned.
Instead of reading my novel though, I had been gazing at his face, and the way the moonlight cast itself upon his features.
'I really am a fortunate being, to be able to do this whenever I want...'
My silent reverie continued undisturbed, as I found myself slowly getting lost in thoughts about our relationship, and all that we had been through, together, to get to this point.
That was, until he suddenly asked me a question out of nowhere whilst closing his book shut.
"You've never experienced a pure love, have you?"
"No! Of course I have!" I snapped back, incredulous.
How had he been able to read my thoughts?
"You do know that you wear your emotions on your sleeve right? At least, in front of me?"
I blushed, harder than I was supposed to.
"Hmph, at least I'm not making fun of people for being hon-" I was about to pout at him, to use my cuteness powers to win him over, yet he just had to rudely interrupt me.
"You're seriously going to say that your statement about pure love was you being honest?"
"No! Wait, no, yes! Of course I was honest." I shouted indignantly, to which, he only smiled.
Turning around to leave the room in a huff, I turned back last second to glance at him once I reached the door...
...only to see him with his face in his hand, it being too small to hide the crimson blush on his ears.
Looking up, as he noticed that I was looking at him, I couldn't help but giggle a little as his eyes widened in embarrassment.
"You've never had experience within a pure love relationship either, right?"
His expression was enough of an answer for me, and so I left the room quickly after that.
Only then, did I allow my face to be flushed in red.
Back in the room, a silent answer hung in the air, and Shalom couldn't help but smile warmly.
"So it'll be the first time for the both of us." He whispered softly, to himself, as if finding comfort in the statement.
His words had been directed at no one, yet even then, the palace began to shift erratically.
Seeing this, his smile could only widen.
