Chapter 3: Chapter 3
Chapter 3: 2 Months Old
Percy was a bundle of cuteness, his giggles brought joy to Sally Jackson's face. He was her rays of sunshine that overshadowed his horrible husband Gabe Ugliano.
Percy's mother, Sally Jackson, chose to marry him to protect Percy from the ever-growing threat of Greek monsters and gods. Gabe had a pungent odor, which was described by Percy as "moldy garlic pizza wrapped in gym shorts," earning him the infamous nickname "Smelly Gabe".
Grover Underwood later described him as a human who smelled so horrible that his scent would mask any demigod's scent from monsters.
Gabe's scent would help protect Percy from monsters, as monsters can smell children of the Gods, especially those of powerful gods like the Big Three.
Since he was a son of Poseidon, one of the three most powerful gods, Percy's godly scent was much stronger than that of the children of the lesser gods.
Gabe was said to have been nice to Sally and Percy for "the first thirty seconds they had known him", and afterward showed his true colors as a "world-class jerk".
He often abused Sally, beating her and treating her horribly. He hated Percy and doesn't seem to trust him. Percy often got into trouble with him. He played poker every day with his 'poker buddies'.
Gabe's job was managing The Cadillac Linen Service, although we never see or hear of him going to work.
All Gabe seems to do is drink beer, eat guacamole, smoke cigars, play poker or blackjack, and be abusive to Sally, Percy and even his own 'poker buddy' Eddie.
So for Sally who had to endure such a horrible human being, Percy's smile was a great source of strength. She would watch him stretch out his hands on the toy above his crib and laugh when it moves.
She thought the movement was from the wind entering from outside but it was Percy's divine power at work.
As she was watching her two month old son play, a warm smile spread through her face. But then again she was reminded that it was time for bed.
"Now, now, mister," She walked closer to him and tucked him in.
"It's time for bed," Percy giggled at her before finally dozing off.

Percy's PoV
Pretending to be a normal baby is harder than I thought it would be. I had to act all cute and innocent to put up the ruse of a normalcy to prevent suspicion.
And I had to continue doing this until I had built up enough strength or until I reached my coming of age.
Regarding that, my two months of discreet training have gone well. My main objective being sensing and controlling my divine power have been proceeding rapidly.
During the time when I was three to four weeks old, I could barely control a drop of water, maybe around 5ml or so but now I can confidently control the volume of a cup.
'Nice it's raining,' I heard the pitter patter of raindrops falling on our quaint apartment. I barely turned my body around to look at the hazy window while stretching out my hand.
I closed my eyes for better concentration and drew several shallow breaths with my weak infantile lungs.
Hooooo
Breath in. Breath out. Breath in. Breath out.
And then like an electric circuit receiving a connection, I felt something connect. I opened my eyes once again, I unfurled my hands and spread my finger as I willfully controlled the water splashed on my window.
I controlled it, I first separated the water from the glass pane and started to shape it. With my meager control I turned the floating shapeless water into a sphere, I rotated it left and then to the right afterwards I willed the water sphere to be divided.
One ball turned to two, two turned to four, four turned to eight, eight turned to sixteen until finally I had divided them into fine pieces that were nothing but needles.
'Perfect'
And then everything turned dark.
*******
I woke up feeling mentally and physically exhausted. It seems that I have pushed myself too hard and exceeded my infantile body's capacity leading me to black out.
Thankfully due to my demi-god genes my recovery was quick. Instead of taking days to recover it only took me an hour.
If I had taken longer to wake up Sally Jackson would've found out that I black out and she would cause a grand scenario.
I don't want any part of that. My goal is just to get stronger, strong enough to fully defend myself against monsters.
Then when the time comes, I'll leave this place and then start my journey towards my dream.
Just thinking about achieving that sends shivers down my spine.
My smile reached one ear to another. Ahhhh.
Patience.
In just 4 years Percy Jackson managed to become the strongest demi-god to exist, he dwarfed all of Hercules' Task, was offered godhood, and basically flexed on the entire olympus.
But his strength was built on the backs of trials.
While mine. Mine is through pure training. Through sheer will and dedication.
And I have many years to spare.
Soon. Oh my sweet dreams.
I'll be there soon.
And so after I just recovered my energy I started my training again.
The rain had stopped pouring down but its residue was still ever present. The external walls of our small residence were still moist.
The moisture was rich. And if there's moisture, there's water.
I stretched my hand, as if reaching for something and took a sharp breath. My will was then imposed on the world as the moisture from the pane glass turned into spherical water.
Then I clenched my fist and the water condensed. Hardened. And with a flick it left its initial position and cannonballed itself into a nearby tree.
And bam!
A dent was made. It was small. Barely noticeable.
But I was satisfied. Soon that small force would become a giant wave, a wave that would sweep the entire world.
Drowning them all.
