Chapter 75: Chapter 75
Chapter 75: My Husband is Really Considerate
When Ah Yin finally opened the door, her pitiful expression made Zhao Ling chuckle softly. It seemed he might have been a bit too intense in his affections over the past few days, leaving her both wary and exhausted.
From his storage space, Zhao Ling retrieved the *Heavy Rain Pear Blossom Needle.* The hidden weapon gleamed coldly, its intricate craftsmanship exuding a dangerous aura.
Ah Yin's eyes widened as she instinctively took a step back. "Husband, what is that? It looks so dangerous!"
"This," Zhao Ling began with a tender smile, "is called the Heavy Rain Pear Blossom Needle. It's a powerful single-target weapon capable of firing 27 poisoned needles simultaneously. The lethality is terrifying, strong enough to seriously injure a Titled Douluo.
It's made from the silver mother of deep-sea sunken silver, and during its crafting, human blood is used to refine its sharpness. This is one of the strongest tools of its kind, and I want you to have it. With this, I'll feel better knowing you have a way to protect yourself."
Ah Yin's pupils shrank in disbelief. "Seriously injure a Titled Douluo? Husband, are you joking? That's almost impossible."
She found the claim hard to believe. After all, Titled Douluo were at the pinnacle of strength in the Douluo Continent. The idea that a small hidden weapon could pose such a threat seemed absurd.
Zhao Ling didn't argue. He knew Ah Yin didn't grasp the craftsmanship and rarity of the *Heavy Rain Pear Blossom Needle.* Even with the design and resources, recreating it would be nearly impossible.
"Just take it," Zhao Ling said as he gently placed the weapon in her hands. "I'll get you a storage soul guide soon so you can carry it around safely. If you ever face danger, you'll have something to protect yourself."
Ah Yin carefully inspected the *Heavy Rain Pear Blossom Needle,* turning it over in her hands. After a moment, she smiled and stood on tiptoe to kiss Zhao Ling's lips.
"Thank you, husband," she said sweetly.
Zhao Ling smiled but added a warning. "Be careful with it. Each needle is highly toxic, so don't scratch yourself. When retrieving the needles after use, always wear gloves."
Ah Yin nodded, her expression growing serious. She handed the weapon back to him. "It's too dangerous to keep with me right now. Could you hold onto it for me for now, husband?"
Zhao Ling chuckled. "Of course." He stored the weapon back in his space and turned to leave.
Ah Yin tilted her head in confusion. "Husband, aren't you staying in my room tonight?"
Zhao Ling leaned down and kissed her forehead gently. "You've worked hard these past few days. Rest well tonight. I promise I won't bother you."
As Zhao Ling walked out, closing the door behind him, Ah Yin's heart swelled with emotion. Her lips curled into a warm smile as she whispered, "Thank you. My husband is so considerate."
For the first time in days, she felt completely at ease. Zhao Ling's understanding and thoughtfulness made her feel cherished, and she couldn't help but feel lucky to have him.
In her room across the hotel, Bibi Dong sat reading the latest entries in *Copy of Zhao Ling's Diary.*
The details about Yu Xiaogang and Liu Erlong had her smirking in disbelief. 'Yu Xiaogang, you spend all day pretending to be infatuated with me, and yet in two years, you'll fall in love with your own cousin?'
She couldn't fathom how he had the audacity to ignore their blood relationship and attempt to marry Liu Erlong. 'How pathetic,' she thought. 'And why didn't you ever come to find me, the Pope? Was I not worthy of your attention anymore?'
Bibi Dong's grip on the diary tightened as frustration bubbled to the surface. 'The me in the diary was such a fool,' she thought bitterly. 'I actually fell for someone like you. Fortunately, the diary's revelations saved me from that fate. Otherwise, I'd have lived to regret it for the rest of my life.'
She closed the diary with a snap and swore under her breath. 'Yu Xiaogang, the next time I see you, I'll make sure you regret ever crossing paths with me.'
Meanwhile, across the city, the defeated brothers Yu Xiaogang and Yu Xiaolong had been stabilized by several healing soul saints at the Great Fighting Soul Arena.
Despite their external wounds being treated, the collateral family members accompanying them were anxious. The soul saints had warned that Yu Xiaolong's head injuries were severe, with potential damage to his brain.
With no other options, the group decided to return to the Blue Lightning Tyrannosaurus Rex family's headquarters. They would need the family's connections to find a high-level healing soul master to address Yu Xiaolong's condition.
As the group boarded the carriage, the six collateral members shared a collective sigh of relief.
Staying in Soto City was no longer an option. Zhao Ling's overwhelming strength had left them terrified. If they encountered him again, they feared none of them would leave alive.
In their hearts, they vowed never to cross paths with Zhao Ling again.
