People are writing diaries in Douluo, Bibi Dong is crazy about it

Chapter 70: Chapter 70

Chapter 70: Hemp Ropes Break at the Thin Points

After finishing their dinner, Zhao Ling and Ah Yin bid farewell to the Spirit Hall group and headed toward the night market.

The separation from the Spirit Hall did not go unnoticed by the Blue Lightning Tyrannosaurus Rex family members who had been following them. A brief discussion ensued.

Two of the family members were sent back to the hotel to inform Yu Xiaolong and Yu Xiaogang that the opportunity for revenge had finally come. Meanwhile, the remaining two discreetly tailed Zhao Ling and Ah Yin, maintaining a careful distance of about 100 meters.

What they didn't realize, however, was that a pair of sharp phoenix-like eyes was observing their every move from a distance.

Liu Erlong frowned as she watched the Blue Lightning Tyrannosaurus Rex family members. What are they up to? she wondered.

It was clear that their intentions toward Zhao Ling and Ah Yin weren't good. Though Zhao Ling was a Titled Douluo and likely capable of defending himself, Ah Yin was a different matter.

Over the past few days, Liu Erlong hadn't detected even the faintest trace of soul power from Ah Yin. If an attack were to occur, Ah Yin might be gravely injured.

With that thought, Liu Erlong made a decision. She quickened her pace, bypassing Zhao Ling and Ah Yin by several hundred meters before circling back and approaching them head-on.

When she was just half a meter away, she gently bumped Ah Yin's arm and leaned in to whisper, "Be careful. Someone's following you, and they don't seem to have good intentions."

Without waiting for a response, Liu Erlong walked away briskly.

Ah Yin instinctively turned to look, but Zhao Ling gently held her head in place, his tone light. "That woman thinks we didn't notice we were being followed these past few days. But I've been aware of her too. Don't worry—I'll deal with it later."

Ah Yin's lips twitched in mild irritation as she thought, 'Of course someone's following us. But why are they following us, Zhao? Isn't it because of your incessant diary complaints and your habit of attracting trouble wherever you go?'

Although annoyed, she nodded demurely. "Alright. But remember, don't be too harsh on her. And… don't expect me to leave the door open for you tonight. Think of it as a well-deserved break for me." She grinned cheekily and kissed him lightly on the lips, her crescent-shaped eyes sparkling with mischief.

"???"

Zhao Ling blinked in confusion, stunned by her comment. "Ah Yin, what are you talking about? I'm just going to ask her why she's been following us. Don't get the wrong idea." He leaned closer, a playful glint in his eyes. "And if you don't leave the door open, I'll be depressed. Remember, you started this fire, so you need to take responsibility."

Ah Yin's face flushed as she hurriedly stammered, "N-no, of course I'll take responsibility! I just… I've been so tired lately and need a break."

Zhao Ling chuckled, his hand pinching her nose gently. "You'd better mean it. Otherwise, you'll pay for it later."

Back at the hotel, Yu Xiaogang's excitement was palpable. When the two subordinates reported that Zhao Ling and Ah Yin were alone, his body trembled with glee.

"This is it," he murmured to himself, barely able to contain his joy. "Finally, the moment I've been waiting for. Zhao Ling will pay for everything he's done."

Though most of his injuries had healed, a lingering pain in his left side served as a bitter reminder of his humiliation. Yu Xiaogang had endured days of agony, watching from the shadows as Zhao Ling grew closer to Bibi Dong. He could no longer stand by and let his dreams slip away.

Turning to his elder brother, Yu Xiaolong, Yu Xiaogang's voice was firm. "Brother, the time has come. I'll leave Zhao Ling to you. Make him suffer. Make him feel the pain I've endured."

Yu Xiaolong smirked confidently. "Don't worry, Second Brother. Among our peers, only Tang Xiao and Tang Hao pose any real challenge to me. Zhao Ling is nothing. Tonight, I'll teach him what it means to cross the Blue Lightning Tyrannosaurus Rex clan."

With a dramatic flourish, Yu Xiaolong stormed out of the room, Yu Xiaogang trailing eagerly behind him.

---

Watching the two brothers leave, the two collateral family members exchanged knowing glances, their expressions tinged with amusement.

"Can you believe this?" one muttered. "When we first arrived in Soto City, we confirmed that Zhao Ling had nothing to do with the Second Young Master's beatings. Those were all caused by the Spirit Hall."

"Exactly," the other agreed. "But because they can't go after the Spirit Hall, they're redirecting all their anger toward Zhao Ling. It's laughable."

The first man sighed. "It's always the weak who get targeted. A hemp rope breaks at its thinnest point, and misfortune always finds those who've already suffered. Poor Zhao Ling—he's in for a rough night."

---

Unaware of the Blue Lightning Tyrannosaurus Rex members' musings, Zhao Ling walked calmly with Ah Yin by his side. Though he had been aware of the tailing for days, he felt no real sense of urgency.

Small fish and shrimp, he thought with a smirk. Let's see how long they last before they make their move. After tonight, this little game will finally end.
