Chapter 28: Chapter 27: U19 trials II (Uncle back story)

You can skip this chapter if you want, But I recommend you reading it.

AB de Villiers was Nitish's inspiration, and he admired him for his exceptional talent, fierce fielding, and outstanding leadership skills. He was also a fitness freak and a good human being, which made him a role model for Nitish. Nitish's dream was to bat alongside him, and he worked hard to make that a reality.

Nitish understood that achieving his dreams would require hard work and dedication. He was not willing to rely on his family's wealth or connections to get ahead. Instead, he believed in setting clear goals and working tirelessly to achieve them. Nitish listed down all his wishes and converted them into achievable goals. He understood that success in cricket required a combination of talent, hard work, and determination, and he was willing to put in the effort required to succeed.

The U19 World Cup, held in January 2011, was an event that I couldn't attend due to financial constraints in my past life. My nephew, on the other hand, attended it, being from the richer side of my mother's family.

Nitish's uncle took advantage of his sister's trust and generosity to cheat her out of her assets. He exploited her weakness by convincing her to sign over the property and other assets to him, promising to take care of them and manage them in her best interests. However, he had no intention of keeping his word and instead used the assets for his own benefit, leaving Nitish and his family in a difficult financial situation.

The uncle's plan to cheat Nitish's mother was carefully crafted. He used his position of trust as her brother to convince her that he was the best person to manage her assets, as he had more knowledge and experience in such matters. He convinced her that he had her best interests at heart, and that the transfer of the assets to his name was only a temporary measure to protect them.

The uncle made sure to keep Nitish's mother in the dark about his true intentions, by manipulating her emotions and exploiting her weaknesses. He knew that his sister was a kind-hearted person who always put her family first, and he used this knowledge to his advantage.

In the end, Nitish's mother realized too late that she had been cheated by her own brother. She regretted her decision to trust him and blamed herself for the situation she and her family were in. However, the uncle remained unrepentant, continuing to exploit his sister's vulnerability and making it difficult for her and her family to recover from the loss of their assets. Despite our attempts to seek justice through the court, we couldn't afford a good lawyer, unlike my uncle who could easily afford one.

In my past life, I had faced my nephew during the U19 trials. Though he was a good batsman, I took his wicket on the very first ball of the over with a yorker. Despite his past achievements of scoring half-centuries, the five sixes I hit in his over shattered his confidence and made him lose his position in the team. I later learned that he had quit cricket and taken over his father's swindling business. Unfortunately, his past caught up with him, and he was caught in a drug scandal, leading to the loss of all the company's assets.

It's a shame that he didn't pursue cricket, as he had potential. However, the importance of maintaining one's integrity and morals in all aspects of life cannot be overstated. Swindling and drug scandals are not the path to success, and I hope he comes to this realization soon. This serves as a reminder that life can be unpredictable and full of challenges, and we must continue striving towards our goals, even in the face of adversity.

We all encounter setbacks and obstacles in life, but it's important to keep pushing forward and not let them break us. It's easy to lose confidence and give up, but that's when we must remind ourselves of our goals and why we started in the first place. It's not just about achieving success, but also doing so with integrity and by staying true to oneself.

We must learn from our mistakes and past experiences to shape our future. Life is a learning process, and we should aim to be better every day. It's not about being perfect, but about striving for excellence and doing what is right. Ultimately, success is not measured by wealth or fame but by the positive impact we have on the world and the people around us.
