Otherworldly Interference

Chapter 19: Exanox

Far away in an otherworldly dimension, there was a vast, circular chamber, suspended in an ethereal void, radiated with an ambient glow that pulsed in harmony with the ebb and flow of time itself. The walls, if they could be called such, were translucent veils of darkish energy, revealing glimpses of distant galaxies and swirling nebulae beyond.

In the middle of that circular chamber, there was a throne. A throne that seemed to be made of shadow and dark energy, that periodically showed glimpses of angry red clouds. Even though it seemed to be made of shadows and dark matter, it seemed to glow in a otherworldly and ominous way. In the shadowed recesses of the chamber, Exanox, a mysterious figure draped in ethereal darkness, was seated upon a throne. His face could not be seen as the darkness from his hooded cape shrouded it. A red glow could be made out from where his eyes should be.

In front of the person was a large mirror like structure, with various pictures running on it. The frame surrounding the mirror seemed to be made of silver with a lot of veins running across it that were almost translucent and multicolored. The silver seemed to be darker and richer in color than normal silver and seemed to be almost a liquid that flowed through the entire frame.

As Exanox gazed upon the mirror, his focus shifted like a specter's whim. His attention, drawn inexplicably toward a singular thread, zoomed into the life of a young wizard named Harry Potter. There, within the hallowed halls of Hogwarts, a peculiar intrigue flickered in the depths of Exanox's gaze. Exanox observed him with an weird intensity, a veiled disapproval in his watchful gaze. As to what caused this interest in Harry Potter is still unclear. Exanox then proceed to fix Harry Potter's life towards the corner of that device and zooms in on other people.

Among the people he watches, a distant figure of Albus Dumbledore looking out of his office window could be seen. Another figure that looked like Cornelius Fudge who was bent over his desk writing what seemed to be a letter, was also noticed. Exanox then proceeds to look at various other people with the mirror like device. At last he zooms in on Quirinus Quirrell, a professor at Hogwarts.

His gaze intently watches Quirrell as he goes about his life at Hogwarts. As he watches Quirrell, he suddenly notices a small detail that seemed to put him in a very good mood. He zooms in on Hogwarts and seemed to be looking for something. He stops at the picture of an underground chamber that consists a mirror. As he sees the mirror, he bursts out laughing.

His laugh reverberates with an otherworldly quality through out the chamber. It was almost the embodiment of chaos and evil. His throne changes into pure deep red as he laughs, almost as if it was painted with blood.

"Oh Praesidius," he sneers, the name dripping with mockery, "I win. Even after all your scheming, I still win."

His voice sounded ancient and pure embodiment of chaos and evil. A deep rumbling unearthly sound, that seemed to be holding immense power. His voice made it seem like he was a person who was immensely powerful. Exanox turns to the mirror again and this time zooms in on Lucious Malfoy, who seemed to be in the Knockturn Alley. Exanox observes him for sometime and then switches to Quirrell again.

As he watches the professor, he thinks of something and then zooms in on the professor. Exanox then proceeds to whisper something while watching the professor in the mirror. As he whispers, he watches the professor freeze in fear and nod his head. He then snaps his finger and a thin line of golden red thread floated right into the mirror in which Quirrell could be seen. Exanox smiled as the thread made its way into Quirrell's body and sat down contently.
