Chapter 68: Nothing serious between us - 2
Douluo Continent
7 am in the morning.
As the clear skies greeted Fan Lin with great weather and decent sunlight, Fan Lin quietly flew above the Northern coast of the Douluo continent.
He took out another vial and casually tossed it and sped up to the towards the east coast.
Fan Lin had gained four spirit abilities from his two spirit souls.
"No, not this.'
Fan Lin had decided to cause slow deaths in the East and North coastal areas of the Douluo continent. He had wanted to divert the attention of the the various forces from the Western region so that the transmigration of the soul beasts could happen smoothly.
"Not even ten days have passed and here I am, here to end it."
He had planned for the 'mysterious death' to last around three to 7 years depending on the progress of his other works but who knew.
"I did."
(The usage of both words and digits is angering me)
As he was steadily flying towards the East coast, someone came beside him and started a conversation.
'Why?'
"Respected Sir, may I ask who you are?"
A man in a Mecha politely asked Fan Lin.
"Fan Lin. Need something?"
Fan Lin asked while enveloping the Mecha guy in his Jade Death's domain.
"Sir, you are flying in the restricted area. Can you stop your flight and use another way or change your direction?"
The Mecha guy requested while showing Fan Lin the new guidelines that was set by the Federation.
'That's a sloppy warning'
"I didn't know that. I will change my route then."
Fan Lin said to the Mecha guy and decided to reach the East coast from another direction.
"Sir, before you leave, can I get some form of identification. My seniors want to verify your identity."
The Mecha guy hurriedly said when he saw Fan Lin change his direction and ready to fly off
"Okay. Here's my Mecha Designer's badge."
Fan Lin casually threw his badge to the Mecha Guy who barely caught it before it became one with the air.
Weirded out by the actions of the young looking senior cultivater in front of him, the young man quickly scanned his badge and the people behind the computer screen sent the authentication request to the Mecha Designer association.
Meanwhile both parties were silently floating in the air.
"What's your name?"
Fan Lin asked the Mecha guy since he was just curious on whether there was really something wrong with his spirit and stuff.
"Li Hao. Rank 6 Mecha Mechanic in the Southern fleet. Do you need me for something senior?"
Mecha Guy Li Hao inquired after introducing himself.
"Nothing. I seem to have seen you once in the Skyorder City. Nothing else.''
"I am from the Skyorder City although I haven't been there in a long while. Is the Senior from Skyorder Starocean academy?"
"No. I just saw you outside the Skyorder's Spirit Pagoda once."
The authentication request was approved and Fan Lin's was given the green signal to go as the Mecha guy properly returned the badge.
"Thanks for you cooperation."
The Mecha guy thanked him and flew backwards to his post.
'I can still remember things really well, my memory and emotions doesn't have any problems. Just my spiritual power has been damaged by the spiritual inference. It seems.'
Fan Lin thought and sped off.
...
An hour later.
Fan Lin landed in a small lake near the Silverlight town. It was a small town near the Glorybound city and his predecessor was supposed to have been transferred to the Glorybound city from here.
He tossed another vial which soon disappeared in the air and then began to walk out from the lake.
"Let's meet."
After nearly 13 minutes of walking, he reached the small two storey shop whose second floor acted as the house.
He looked at the shop that was selling meat stew and rice but without any customers.
"Anyone here."
Fan Lin asked.
(His spiritual power and senses are currently restrained to a normal humans since he doesn't care about his life.)
(The actual reason being that he knows that he won't be harmed by anyone and thus had no need to overload his senses with unnecessary input.)
"We haven't opened yet. Wait a while!"
A reply came from the inside the shop and in a few seconds, someone came to the front.
"What are you doing here Fan Lin?"
A middle aged man asked in confusion.
"Fan'er? Why is he here?"
Another voice chimed in, belonging to a woman who also came to see him.
"I quit school. I am free all day."
Fan Lin replied to the middle aged woman and looked at the condition of the shop that doesn't seem to change much from the last time.
"You guys didn't renovate anything new?"
He asked them while sitting down on one of the chairs at the diners slab*
(Should I use around the or should I leave it at that. You get the meaning right? Like you know that long horizontal wooden board thingy that is attached to the wall or shop and you put your stuff on it and eat while standing or sitting.)
(I will attach a picture just in case)
"There's no need. We are happy like this and Wulin might need the money later on. I heard that the advanced course gets really costly? There aren't any oranges?"
The woman said while giving Fan Lin the only fruit that she can find in her kitchen, aka tomato.
"We don't usually eat fruits."
The man said in an apologetic manner.
"I can see that. Everyone have their preferences. That's not a problem."
Fan Lin said after taking a bite of his tomato.
"Thanks for your help at that time."
The middle aged man said with emotion while looking at his wife.
"He isn't dead yet. Na Er is also safe. I searched for her and she is currently adopted by a really strong couple.''
Fan Lin apathetically commented.
"Is she happy?" [Woman]
"Is she fine?" [Middle aged man]
The couple said at the same time while looking at Fan Lin in anticipation.
"She is."
Fan Lin replied and wrote down the postal address for Shrek's inner court on a slip of paper. How he knew that would never be known.
(He is a Mecha Designer. Of course he has paper and pen with him)
He passed the slip to them and got up to leave.
"You are leaving already?"
The woman asked Fan Lin while the middle aged man took the paper slip.
"I was here for work. I need to finish that-
"Shrek city? Why is the address at Shrek city?" [Middle aged man]
Fan Lin words were intercepted by the shocked voice of the middle aged man who showed the slip to his wife.
"It's really Shrek city that is written here. Is Na Er in Shrek?" [Yue]
The woman named Yue asked and she and her husband began to look at Fan Lin for answers.
"I never told you what had happened after that. Wulin was accepted at Shrek Academy this year. Na Er is adopted by someone there as well. Both of them grew up to be proper adults. If fate willed, soon they will most likely encounter each other at that. Bye."
"You are not lying?"
The woman asked with doubt.
"The postal address has the school's number as well. Just call it and ask about him. I did have a few pictures of him in his Shrek's uniform but I have given my main storage guide to someone else."
"I will bring some recent pictures when I visit again."
Fan Lin said and left the shop, leaving behind two blanked out people who still couldn't believe the words he said.
Their son with the Bluesilver Grass martial soul had been accepted into Shrek Academy. Their missing daughter without any martial soul had also been adopted by someone at Shrek Academy. Both of them were fine and well accomplished...
At the SHREK ACADEMY!!
It was too good to be true and yet here was Fan Lin who said it to them.
Tang Ziren and Tang Yue both looked at each other as emotions began to stir in their eyes.
Fan Lin had once helped them when they were going towards a terrifying end.
With his help, they had decided on not joining the secret research program and instead were living in his house since Fan Lin was the owner of the small shop that they were leaving in.
It previously belonged to some old woman who had died due to some disease and Fan Lin had brought it for them after they had nowhere else to go.
They knew who he was and they also knew that he was just a pure child that was content with the things that he liked. They had seen him show emotions and they knew of his hatred that he had against himself.
When they were resorted to their final fate and sold everything and collected some money to give to Wulin for his cultivation, they had joined a secret research program and would have most likely have most likely transferred to another continent but a certain someone had killed most of the research program members. Those that survived dispersed to wherever they could.
But they had nowhere to return as they had already sold everything. Fan Lin had somehow contacted them with their new IDs at that time and brought them the shop/house and a million Federal credit as a compensation for beating their daughter.
As reluctant as they were to live in the place that was given by him, their needs finally gave in along with the fact that if they joined anything shady, Fan Lin would most likely kill them.
But if they joined anything on the bright side, the organization that they were working for would find them and they would be where they had left.
Thus they accepted their fate and began to live in the house while using the money to start a small eatery and after years of work, they are able to earn a decent income that was enough to feed them but not enough to feed their child.
As for why didn't they contact Tang Wulin and tell the truth about them. Well it was because they were afraid.
They were afraid that contacting Wulin may bring him into harm as they were fugitives from the organizations who had survived the massacre but weren't reporting for work.
They were afraid that the organization would have been keeping tabs on them but they were wrong. The organization was in a weird uproar after the massacre and the future continued to remain the after that as the child killer and then the mysterious death both had ravaged the organization's secret research programs so much that they had to visit another continent to start their research afresh.
They didn't have the time to search for some puny people that had been left alive and neither did they knew that there were people that survived since those who survived were extremely few and were properly taken care of by Shi Hao who had prepared for their new IDs and accommodations.
They didn't lack money at that time.
"A person who helped those that needed. Why did you betray me then?"
Fan Lin wondered and changed his plans once again.
