Chapter 351: Unexpected Incident! Tracer Out of Control! Treatment!
At this moment, Luca's image in the Imperial Capital was certainly not very good.
This was largely thanks to the efforts of the James Family, Willow Family, and Mingwhel Family, who had been spreading rumors.
In their words, Luca had completely transformed into a heinous villain—burning, killing, looting, and even raping young girls. He was a monstrous figure, fit only to be called a human scum.
So, when ordinary people saw this ruthless killer appear in front of them, they were naturally terrified.
Kanade, however, found it quite amusing. After all, that kind of look was something he was all too familiar with.
Patting Luca's shoulder, he teased, "What exactly did you do to deserve such bad rumors? How did they get all the way to the Imperial Capital?"
Luca twitched his lips, swatting away his hand. "Don't slander me. This is my first time in the Imperial Capital, and heaven knows why they have such intense hostility toward me."
While the two were speaking, the others, along with the staff, boarded the elevator.
The room where Morning Star was staying was a special luxury suite arranged by the authorities, each suite consisting of six individual rooms. Luca and Susie's family were placed together, while the others were assigned to different rooms.
Upon entering the room, they were greeted by an elegant and meticulously decorated living room. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, one could see a captivating view outside.
At a glance, the city lights resembled a sky full of stars, shining brightly in the dark.
"How beautiful," Susie stood in front of the window, her eyes sparkling like stars. Though her family had a decent living standard, they certainly couldn't afford to stay at the Imperial Capital's most luxurious hotel. This was the first time she had ever witnessed such a stunning view.
"It really is beautiful," Luca said, gazing out at the night sky with a distant look in his eyes.
Although the Imperial Capital had survived, most of the city had been destroyed in his past life, and it took years to rebuild.
As for other cities, there was no need to mention them. During the ten years of the apocalypse, Luca had hardly seen such a beautiful cityscape, which made him feel like he was in a different world.
Donald and Darabont, both couples, were also quite pleased with the room. The four of them sat in soft chairs by the windows, enjoying fruit and admiring the night view.
However, before they could savor the moment, Luca's phone rang.
Glancing at the caller ID, it was Tuwnken. They weren't staying at Haven River Hotel, but had been assigned to another location by the authorities.
A call this late...
Luca furrowed his brows and stepped outside to answer. "What's going on?" he asked.
Timi's frantic voice came through the phone. "Tracer woke up, but something's wrong with his condition. Do you want to come over..."
Before she could finish her sentence, there was a loud bang, followed by the sound of something shattering.
Amid the noise, Timi's voice came again, filled with panic.
"Tracer, Tracer! You—"
Then, the phone call abruptly cut off.
Luca immediately knew that something had happened to Timi and Tuwnken. Without wasting any time, he hurried downstairs to inquire about their location at the front desk and rushed over there immediately.
Before Luca could reach the hotel where Timi and the others were staying, he suddenly heard a loud explosion from a distance. Looking up, he saw flames and thick smoke billowing from the third floor of the hotel. Debris and shards of glass flew through the air, and amidst the chaos, he could faintly make out a small figure engulfed in blood-red Demonic energy.
It was Tracer! But the Tracer in front of him was worlds apart from the sweet, innocent girl she had once been.
Her long hair fluttered wildly, her eyes blood-red with no visible pupils or whites. Her once-pale face was now covered in dark blood-like markings. As her white skirt fluttered, a mist of blood surrounding her swirled like flames.
Behind her, Timi lay unconscious, while Tuwnken was covered in blood.
Was this... loss of control?
Screams rang out all around the road and the hotel. The Imperial Capital's patrol guards were the first to notice the disturbance, quickly heading toward the direction where Tracer was located.
Luca knew he couldn't let this situation escalate. If Tracer were caught by the Imperial Capital guards, there would be little chance of her ever regaining her freedom.
Dark winds swirled around him, and black wings formed at his back. With a slight flap, Luca shot toward Tracer like a spear.
It seemed that Tracer sensed something, as her blood-red eyes turned in his direction. Her blood energy surged, and in that instant, her aura became violently destructive.
The intense pressure caused the guards rushing toward her to freeze in place, their bodies stiffening as they struggled to breathe. They looked up at Tracer floating in the air, their eyes filled with disbelief. The girl's power had reached Superclass?!
Boom!! Without giving them time to think, Tracer waved her hand, and a massive wave of blood surged from the air like a tsunami, crashing down toward the guards. The Imperial Capital's patrol team tried to defend themselves, but as soon as they made contact with the wave, their defenses were completely obliterated.
In the blink of an eye, the guards were swallowed up by the overwhelming blood tide. The screams on the streets grew even sharper, especially from the high-ranking officials staying in the same hotel as Timi and the others.
No one had expected to face such a chaotic situation in the Imperial Capital. Some were already frantically calling government offices to complain.
But Tracer wasn't done yet. She raised her hand, and dark clouds began to gather ominously in the sky. Lightning crackled with a blood-red glow, the terrifying force sending a chill down everyone's spine, just from the sight of it.
At that moment, a black light streaked across the sky, and a large hand pressed down on Tracer's hand, forcefully suppressing the power she was about to unleash. Looking at the furious Tracer, Luca furrowed his brows and said, "Have you lost all sense of yourself...?"
The forceful suppression did not calm Tracer. Instead, it seemed to ignite the bloodthirsty instincts buried deep within her genes.
Her vital energy surged, rolling like a relentless tsunami. The crimson light in her eyes seemed ready to spill over as she opened her mouth, revealing sharp fangs, as though she were about to howl.
But the moment she saw Luca, all she could see was a pair of violet eyes, glowing with shifting light.
Dreamweaver Superclass skill—Dream Eye!
In an instant, the scene before Tracer vanished completely, and her violent consciousness was completely obscured by the violet Dreamweaving power.
Her eyes slowly closed, her mind falling into a dreamlike state, and her body collapsed, soft and limp. Fortunately, Luca caught her just in time, preventing her from plummeting from the high altitude.
The commotion had drawn quite a bit of attention. From his vantage point in the sky, Luca noticed that the authorities and military had already dispatched people. In the distance, sirens blared as police cars sped toward the scene, their lights flashing. Several helicopters even hovered in the sky.
As soon as the Imperial Capital's guards saw the monster in the sky had been subdued, they quickly surrounded the area. Their eyes were filled with caution as they stared at Tracer.
Just then, Drumph and the others arrived, their faces tense. However, when they saw Luca, an inexplicable sense of relief spread through them, and their expressions softened. Their past experiences with Luca had given them a blind confidence, as if, with him around, even the biggest problems could be solved.
"What happened?" Drumph stepped forward to ask, but his gaze was fixed on Tracer, who was in Luca's arms. Though he knew she was Leipoder's daughter, Luca had never mentioned that this little girl was such a hidden troublemaker.
Luca shook his head and didn't say much. The situation involving Tracer was far too complicated, and it wasn't something that should be discussed in this place.
Seeing this, Drumph felt a bit of a headache coming on. Just as he was thinking about how to handle this situation, a figure stepped forward from the Imperial Capital's guard.
The captain of the guard took a step forward, asking, "Sir, is this girl your friend?"
This was the same guard captain that Luca had met earlier.
Luca replied calmly, "This little girl is a player. She's been through a lot of trauma, so her mental state is unstable. The danger has passed now. You can leave her to us for handling."
The captain of the guard hesitated, as Tracer at this moment was undeniably an unstable element.
Under normal circumstances, such a dangerous individual would need to be detained, because who knew if another situation like the one just now would arise? If the girl were to relapse and go uncontrolled, the potential consequences were easy to imagine.
Seeing this, Drumph spoke up, "This situation is somewhat special. Report everything truthfully to your superiors. You don't need to worry about it. We'll handle it ourselves."
"I will submit a detailed report to the higher-ups later," he added.
Upon hearing this, the captain of the guard no longer had any reservations. He picked up his walkie-talkie and briefed the Imperial Capital guard commander about the situation, responding with a few acknowledgments.
He then nodded to Drumph and the others, waving his hand to signal the guard team to disperse the crowd and begin the evacuation. It seemed that the guard commander had agreed to let Morning Star handle the situation. Timi and Tuwnken were immediately sent to the hospital for treatment, while the surrounding crowd quickly dispersed under the guard's direction.
Once the situation calmed down, everyone returned to the hotel. Drumph rubbed his forehead, looking a bit weary, and said, "What are you planning to do about this little girl? If you really can't handle it, I still suggest you hand her over to the authorities."
The issues surrounding Tracer were complex and far-reaching, not just involving Leipoder and the artificial monster, but possibly even implicating the powerful James Family. Drumph felt that, rather than keeping her by their side, it might be better to let the authorities deal with her.
Luca knew that Drumph was right. He understood that once Tracer's condition was exposed, the authorities wouldn't simply ignore it. Though Drumph, with his connections, could delay matters for a while, he would undoubtedly face significant pressure.
After thinking for a moment, Luca said, "I'm interested in Leipoder and his artificial monster technology. Let's wait a few more days. If I don't find anything in the Imperial Capital, I'll hand her over to the authorities before we leave."
Tracer's situation was continuing to worsen. Though Luca wanted to resolve her issues, without any leads on Leipoder, there was little he could do. If things got worse, handing her over to the authorities was the only option, even if it wasn't ideal. After all, it was better than letting her lose her life.
Drumph nodded in agreement and didn't say anything more.
After he left, Luca was about to contact Celephais to ask if there had been any news on Leipoder's whereabouts.
But when he turned around, he found that, sometime during the commotion, Tracer had already woken up.
