Chapter 47: Chapter 45 Fleet Admiral Sengoku
Before he could talk to them for long, Satoru received an order from the Fleet Admiral, and he had no choice but to say goodbye to them for the time being.
In the next second, Satoru's figure had already appeared in the Fleet Admiral's office.
In an instant, the bodies of several people in this room immediately tensed, but after seeing the appearance of the person, they relaxed slightly.
"Satoru, don't show up so suddenly next time, otherwise, it's very likely that you'll be treated like an enemy."
Zefa, who was sitting in the office, said. Even though he was already familiar with Satoru's sudden appearances, this was the Fleet Admiral's Office, the most secure place in the entire world. Still, Satoru's ability made it seem like no place was safe.
"Hahaha, I'll pay attention next time."
Satoru snorted and replied. At that moment, he did feel a very dangerous sensation. Subconsciously, he wanted to leave the room quickly. Thankfully, the feeling came and went swiftly.
"Next time, no matter where you go, wrap yourself with the power of stopping."
"I haven't seen you for two years, you've gotten a lot taller, Satoru."
Sengoku also followed up.
"It's been a long time, Fleet Admiral Sengoku."
After saying that, Satoru glanced at the sofa, where a familiar figure sat.
"First meeting, Admiral Kizaru."
Just now, Satoru had been locked onto by three general-level powerhouses in an instant, so it was no wonder that he had felt nervous.
"You're the student that Zefa praised, huh? Truly terrifying. Even I didn't react to your sudden appearance."
This was Kizaru's compliment to Satoru. As the fastest man in the world, there were few things that could catch Kizaru off guard, but Satoru's ability had proven to be an exception.
Although Zefa had always had a very different view of Kizaru compared to Satoru, the praise was not lost on the general.
"The Admiral has won the award. If it were really just speed, Admiral Kizaru is still the fastest in the world."
Satoru's statement made Kizaru feel a bit awkward, but he couldn't pinpoint what was odd about it.
"Satoru, listen to Zefa. You saw Dragon at the Navy Headquarters yesterday, is that true?"
Suddenly, Zefa's expression became serious as he asked.
"That's right."
"Did he tell you anything?"
"He just came to take an important document and, of course, reminisce about the past. After all, you know I have some history with Dragon."
Satoru didn't mention that Dragon had attempted to recruit him, as doing so would certainly bring unwanted attention. That would result in surveillance, and Satoru preferred to keep things low-profile.
"Then it seems that it was really Dragon who took the classified document. Garp, that idiot, raised such a son," Sengoku scolded angrily. He could already imagine how much pressure was being put on the higher-ups.
The document in question was incredibly important, as it detailed the routes that various countries took to transport the celestial gold. While other forces might hesitate to make a move, the Revolutionary Army specialized in the things that others dared not attempt.
"But our navy can't just attack each other."
"Forget it, this is more of a headache for Fleet Admiral ," Sengoku said, trying to brush it off.
"By the way, regarding your assignment, I have decided to place you at the G8 branch in the New World."
Upon hearing this, Satoru was shocked. A fortress in the New World typically required someone of Vice Admiral rank to oversee it. Despite his own strength, his qualifications didn't match, and it would mean the pirates there would likely look down on him.
Zefa's face immediately darkened. He was very opposed to this decision. The New World was a dangerous place. Even someone with the strength of an Admiral might not make it out alive without facing severe risks.
In the New World, the presence of people who could use Conqueror's Haki was common, and even the ordinary pirates were far more dangerous than the ones from other parts of the world.
"Of course, I'm asking for your opinion too," Sengoku continued. "After all, you are still a recent graduate. If you don't want this assignment, I can arrange something else for you."
Kizaru also looked at Satoru, curious about his response. After all, when Kizaru had graduated, he wasn't given such an opportunity, even though he was already a Logia-type Devil Fruit user back then.
"You know, the New World is probably the best place for me right now."
Satoru's face lit up with a confident smile. Although he had cultivated his strength step by step, he wasn't in a hurry to become the strongest right away. The New World, with all its pressure, was the perfect environment for rapid growth. It was full of powerful pirates, and in that kind of environment, his abilities could evolve much faster.
"Well, I wasn't wrong," Sengoku said with a satisfied expression. He glanced at Zefa again, knowing that he had won this debate.
