Middle of the sea]
The Going Merry swayed gently on the waves. Goku was Punching the air near the mast, Zoro was lying down asleep, and Nami sat nearby counting her money.
Suddenly, Luffy shouted, "I did it!"
Everyone turned to see him holding up a black flag. The design was simple—a skull wearing a straw hat, but it was badly drawn. Luffy grinned wide. "Look! Our very own Jolly Roger! Since Usopp joined, we're officially five, so we need one!"
Zoro sat up, looking at the flag. "You're sure that's the mark you want for us?"
Usopp stepped forward with a confident smile. "Luffy, as the most talented artist on this crew, I'll take care of it."
Luffy's eyes lit up. "Really? That's a great idea!"
Usopp took the flag and got to work. After a few minutes, he held up his new version—a sharp, clean design of a skull with a straw hat.
"Done!" Usopp said proudly.
Goku and Luffy leaned in, their eyes shining.
"Wow! That's awesome!" Goku said.
"Perfect!" Luffy added, grinning.
Zoro nodded, lying back down. "Yeah, that's much better."
Nami glanced up and smirked. "Good. Now we actually won't embarrass ourselves."
Usopp puffed out his chest. "Of course! Leave it to Captain Usopp!"
As Luffy admired their freshly drawn Jolly Roger flapping in the wind, he turned to Usopp with a wide grin. "Usopp, draw it on the sail too! It'll look even cooler when we're sailing!"
Usopp got to work, painting the design onto the Going Merry's main sail. When he finished, Luffy threw his arms up and shouted, "Amazing! Now we've got everything we need to head to the Grand Line!"
Usopp stepped back, proud of his work, but his curiosity got the better of him. He turned to Goku and asked, "Hey, Goku, when you and Luffy went flying earlier, what was that yellow cloud you two were riding?"
"Oh, that?" Goku said with a smile. "That's the Flying Nimbus!" He called out, "Flying Nimbus!" and in an instant, the golden cloud appeared, floating down from the sky.
Usopp's jaw dropped as he stared at it. "Whoa! That's incredible!"
Goku patted the cloud. "This is the Flying Nimbus. You can ride it, but only if you have a pure heart."
Nami raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Pure heart? That's easy!" She jumped toward the cloud alongside Usopp, both of them eager to test it out.
But as soon as they tried to sit on it, they fell straight through, landing hard on the deck.
Goku and Luffy couldn't hold back their laughter. "Guess that answers that!" Luffy said between chuckles.
Nami stood up, brushing herself off, her face red with frustration. "Stupid cloud!"
Usopp scrambled to his feet, trying to save face. "Captain Usopp doesn't need a flying cloud! I can already fly!"
Goku's eyes lit up with excitement. "Really? That's so cool! Can you teach me?"
Usopp froze, sweating nervously. "Uh... sorry! My stomach hurts right now. Maybe another time!"
Before anyone could respond, Luffy pointed toward the horizon. "Hey, what's that?"
Everyone turned to look, spotting dark clouds rolling in from the distance.
Nami quickly grabbed her telescope and scanned the horizon. Her lips curled into a sly smile. "Yep, that's it. Treasure Island."
[I'm sorry for being a lazy writer but I low-key don't want to write them meeting Gaimon since Nothing will change with Goku being here so I'm just skipping it but it did happen]
[Middle of the ocean]
The crew sat around the kitchen table, enjoying a good meal. Luffy, his mouth stuffed with food, mumbled, "Hey, before we head to the Grand Line, we really need a cook."
Nami nodded, glancing around the kitchen. "You're not wrong. This place is actually really nice—if only someone knew how to use it properly."
Goku, happily eating while his tail swayed back and forth, accidentally brushed it against Usopp's leg. Usopp jumped out of his seat, pointing at Goku. "Goku! You have a tail?!"
"Oh, yeah," Goku said casually. "I just keep it hidden most of the time."
Luffy grinned, leaning forward. "Oh, yeah! I saw it once before! So, does that mean you ate a Devil Fruit like me?"
Goku shook his head. "Nope, I was born with it."
Usopp and Nami exchanged confused looks. "Born with a tail? That doesn't make any sense," Nami muttered.
"That's so cool!" Luffy exclaimed, practically bouncing in his seat.
Before anyone could say more, a loud commotion echoed from outside the ship. A voice shouted, "Hey, you pirates! Get out here!"
Luffy stood up, slurping down the rest of his drink. "Who's yelling now?" He walked outside, curious, and spotted a man standing on the shore wearing sunglasses.
Luffy tilted his head. "Who are you?"
The man smirked and said, "That doesn't matter." Without warning, he swung a blade, sending a sharp slash straight at Luffy.
Inside, Zoro glanced at Usopp and Nami. "How many are out there?"
Usopp peered through the window. "Just one guy."
Goku, still eating with his tail behind him, said between bites, "He'll be fine."
"You bastard! You tried to kill my partner!"
Luffy's voice followed, sounding annoyed. "I don't know what's going on, but stop destroying my ship!"
Goku and Zoro perked up at the commotion. Then both froze as they recognized the voice outside.
"That voice…" they said in unison, glancing at each other.
Goku quickly stood, heading toward the door. He opened it to find Luffy standing over a man on the deck. The man groaned, clutching his head,
"Hey, Johnny!" Goku called out, his face lighting up. "What's up?"
Zoro followed, stepping onto the deck behind Goku. "Johnny? Is that really you?"
The man, now sitting up, frowned. "Who's talking like they know me?" Then he turned and froze. His expression shifted from confusion to surprise. "Big bro Zoro?! Is that really you?"
Johnny's jaw nearly dropped as he spotted Goku next to Zoro. His shock deepened as he recognized Goku's spiky hair. "Wait… Big bro Goku? No way! You've grown so much! Last time I saw you, you were way smaller!"
Luffy looked on with visible confusion, scratching his head. "Uh, do you guys know this guy?"
Johnny narrowed his eyes, looking at Goku. "Why are you and Zoro on a pirate ship?"
Zoro waved a hand dismissively. "Relax. It's not what you think. Where's Yosaku?"
Johnny's face fell. "Look," he said, heading to the ship's edge. He tugged on a rope tied to a small boat, pulling it closer. Inside, Yosaku lay sprawled out, pale and motionless, with faint traces of blood staining his shirt. As he puts him on the ship
Goku stepped forward, concern evident on his face. "What happened to him?"
Johnny sighed "He was fine but then he just collapsed. He keeps fainting, and it's only getting worse. I don't know what to do."
At that moment, Nami walked onto the deck, glancing at Yosaku. She crouched down and inspected him closely. After a few moments, she stood up and crossed her arms.
"Goku," she said firmly, "grab me some limes from the galley. Quickly!"
Goku didn't hesitate, darting off and returning moments later with a handful of limes.
Nami sliced one open, squeezing the juice into Yosaku's mouth. "He has scurvy," she explained to Johnny, who looked on, wide-eyed. "We got to him in time, so he'll be fine."
Johnny's face lit up with relief. "Really, Big Sis? He's gonna make it?"
Nami nodded "He wasn't getting enough vitamin C. A few more days of proper food and he'll be good as new."
Yosaku suddenly sprang to his feet, bursting with energy. Along with Johnny, he started cheering loudly, their excitement infectious.
"Alright, let us introduce ourselves!" Johnny said, striking a dramatic pose. "I'm Johnny!"
"And I'm Yosaku!" Yosaku added, mirroring his partner. "We used to be bounty-hunting pals with Zoro, and Goku here had some big adventures with us"
Goku and Zoro exchanged glances, smirking. "Never thought we'd run into you two again," Zoro said.
"Yeah," Goku added with a laugh. "It's been a while."
Johnny and Yosaku grinned. "We're surprised too!" Johnny admitted. "We never thought Zoro—or you Goku—would end up becoming pirates!"
Johnny turned to Goku, his expression curious. "Hey, how's little bro Krillin doing these days?"
Yosaku chimed in, "Yeah, and Big Sis Bulma? Haven't seen her in forever!"
Goku scratched the back of his head with a sheepish grin. "Krillin's fine. He decided to become a marine, so he left to do that. As for Bulma, I haven't talked to her since me and Krillin left West Corp Island."
Johnny and Yosaku nodded, a mix of nostalgia and surprise crossing their faces. "Man I remember West Corp Island like it was yesterday," Johnny said nostalgically
"Sounds like everyone's moving on to big things," Yosaku added with a grin.
"That small little runt became a marine?" Zoro said a little surprised
Yosaku suddenly fell unconscious again, the crew carried him to a bed to let him rest. Later, in the kitchen, the group gathered to discuss the next steps.
Nami crossed her arms and said, "We really need someone who can make sure we're getting enough nutrients out here"
Usopp nodded. "Yeah, a cook would definitely help. Someone who knows what they're doing in the kitchen!"
Luffy slammed his hands on the table and stood up. "Alright then, let's go find a cook!"
Johnny perked up. "You need a cook? I know just the place! There's a floating restaurant not far from here where you can find the best cooks and chefs."
"A floating restaurant?" Nami asked, intrigued.
Johnny grinned. "Yeah, it's called the Baratie. Set sail northeast, and you'll see it."
The crew followed Johnny's directions, and soon, the Baratie came into view. Everyone gathered on deck, staring at the massive floating restaurant in awe.
"That's so cool!" Goku exclaimed with excitement. "It's like a ship that's also a building!"
"Wow," Nami said, clearly impressed. "It really does look like a proper restaurant."
The group's amazement was interrupted as another ship sailed alongside theirs—a marine ship. The marine vessel approached, and a man stepped out onto the deck. He wore a smug grin
"I am Lieutenant Iron Fist Fullbody, of Navy HQ," he announced
He scanned the Straw Hat crew and then turned his gaze to Johnny and Yosaku. "Well, well. If it isn't you two. The bounty-hunting small fry. Looks like you've finally been caught."
Johnny and Yosaku flinched, but before they could respond, a woman stepped out from behind Fullbody. She tugged on his sleeve. "Let's go already. I'm hungry."
"Patience," Fullbody said, waving her off before turning to one of his men. "Sink their ship. Show these pirates what happens when they cross paths with the Marines."
A marine loaded the cannon, ready to fire, but Luffy's voice rang out. "Not a chance!"
He stretched his body, yelling, "Gum-Gum Slingshot!" He stretch his body colliding with the cannonball mid-air and sending it flying upward. It arced through the sky and smashed into the roof of the Baratie.
The entire crew froze as the explosion echoed across the water.
"Uh-oh..." Luffy muttered, scratching his head.
Nami facepalmed. "You just had to make it worse, didn't you?"
As Luffy stood there, looking a bit guilty, two chefs stormed out their expressions fierce. "Hey! Was it you who did that?!" one of them shouted. Luffy, trying to hold his ground, nervously scratched his head and said, "Uh, yeah, it was me."
The chefs exchanged glances and then pointed at him. "Come over here!" they demanded, clearly not pleased.
A bit of time passed, and the crew waited anxiously outside the restaurant.
Usopp, sitting on the deck and fiddling with his tools, looked up and asked, "Where's Luffy? What's taking him so long?"
Nami sighed. "He just had to blow a hole in it. Couldn't he have just blamed the Marines instead?"
Goku, whose stomach had been growling for the last few minutes, suddenly perked up. "Hey, can we go in now? I'm starving from all this delicious food smell," he said
Nami shrugged. "Sure, let's go in"
Zoro, Usopp, Nami, and Goku went toward the restaurant, while Johnny and Yosaku stayed behind on the boat.
They entered, and the interior of the Baratie was even more impressive than they expected—a beautiful dining hall with polished wooden floors, bustling waiters, and the scent of freshly cooked food filling the air. They sat at a table
Luffy, who had just returned from talking to the chefs, said angrily "You guys are eating without me? What kind of crew are you?"
Usopp leaned over the table, looking at the menu. "We heard you will work for a whole year"
Zoro, ever the joker, raised an eyebrow and said, "Maybe we should make Goku the captain instead. He's not that different from Luffy."
Luffy immediately stood up and slammed his fist on the table, his face red with frustration. "I'm the captain, not Goku! Don't even joke about it!"
As the crew sat at the table, eyeing the menu, a man with striking yellow hair and swirly eyebrows walked up to them, holding a rose in his hand.
He bent down on one knee dramatically and said, "You are one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen," staring up at Nami with an exaggerated, flirtatious smile.
Nami blinked, clearly confused by the sudden attention. "Uh... thanks?" she replied, unsure of how to react.
Just then, an older man with a tough, weathered look entered the scene. He had a large apron on and a scar across his face.
"Sanji! Why don't you go join them and become a pirate already? I have no need for you anymore," he said gruffly.
Sanji, with his hands in his pockets, stood up with a defiant look in his eyes. "I don't care what you say, Zeff. I'm staying right here,"
He replied, turning back to Nami and giving her a wink as he poured her a drink, not missing a beat in his charm.
As Sanji turned his attention to the rest of the crew, Goku's eyes lit up in excitement. "Hey, Sanji guy! Could you make me this, and this, and this, and oh! This too!"
Goku started pointing excitedly at different items on the menu, listing more food than anyone could possibly eat in one sitting.
Usopp's eyes widened in panic. "You're ordering that much? We'll be working here for a whole year just to pay it off!"
Luffy, always amused by Goku's hunger, laughed. "Ha! Usopp your funny!"
But before Goku could make another order, Sanji swiftly kicked Luffy right in the head, sending him flying across the restaurant. "Why are you just sitting there? You're not here to lounge around! Get up and help!"
Sanji barked as he dragged Luffy off toward the kitchen, still holding the rose in his other hand.
[4 days later]
The crew sat idly on the ship, a mist hanging heavy in the air. Goku stretched his arms out, clearly restless. "I'm bored. It's been four days," he complained,
Usopp sighed, looking at the horizon. "Luffy said he'd work here for a whole year, but I'm so bored... I feel like I'm losing my mind," he muttered, glancing over at the restaurant in the distance.
Nami, lounging lazily nearby, chuckled. "What's wrong? This place has free food, and it's comfortable. Enjoy it while it lasts."
Zoro, lying down with his arms behind his head, scoffed. "For you" he grumble.
Just as Usopp was about to add something, Luffy walked past, holding a large bag of trash. "Just hold on I'm going to try making another deal with the owner,"
But just as Luffy disappeared back into the restaurant, a loud noise echoed through the mist. A massive ship appeared, cutting through the fog, its dark silhouette growing larger with each passing second.
Goku, his curiosity piqued, squinted towards the approaching vessel. "What's that?" he asked, the excitement in his voice clear.
Usopp, sensing trouble, furrowed his brows. "That doesn't look good," he muttered. He felt a knot form in his stomach as the ship came into full view—its ominous presence sent a chill through the air.
Without missing a beat, Goku jumped off the ship and into the mist, his eyes locked on the incoming vessel. "Let's go see!" he shouted,
Zoro, who had been lounging lazily, jumped to his feet and followed without a second thought. "Might as well. Could be some action for once."
Usopp hesitated, looking between the approaching ship and the others. He groaned reluctantly. "Fine! I'm coming too!" With that, he jumped off the ship and followed Goku and Zoro
Goku, Zoro, and Usopp made their way down the stairs into the restaurant, the tension in the air was palpable as they spotted Luffy standing face-to-face with Don Krieg.
"Hey, Luffy, need some help?" Goku called out, his tone light but ready for action.
Luffy turned with a confident grin. "Hey, guys, nope, don't need any. I think I can handle this guy!" he said, cracking his knuckles.
Usopp, eager to prove himself, stepped forward. "If you need any help, I'll come in and beat him too!" He looked serious, though his words were slightly undermined by the nervousness in his voice.
Don Krieg let out a booming laugh, shaking his head. "You've got a small crew, kid. But first things first, I need to feed my men." His voice oozed arrogance as he turned to leave.
Goku watched, unimpressed. "Who's that guy?" he asked, walking up to Luffy, his curiosity piqued.
Luffy raised an eyebrow and smirked. "That guy? Don Krieg. He's here to feed his crew, but he's a big-time pirate. They call him the 'Pirate Fleet Admiral,' but he's really just a thug."
As they talked, on the other side of the room, where Gin lowered his head in regret. "I'm sorry," he muttered to Sanji and the chefs. "I didn't know this would happen."
Zeff placed a hand on Gin's shoulder, his expression calm but stern. "You did nothing wrong. All our chefs did what was right," he said, reassuring Gin.
But one of the other chefs, spoke up "Boss, come on. You're choosing Sanj's side? He's the reason we're in this predicament, after all."
Zeff slammed his fist on the counter, his voice booming through the restaurant. "Shut it! You don't know what it's like to be on the brink of starving! Only Sanji knows," he growled, his eyes fierce with the memory of his past struggles. "If all you're gonna do is complain, then just leave!"
The chefs, standing behind the counter, began grabbing various kitchen weapons, preparing themselves for the fight they felt was inevitable.
Gin, his eyes wide in disbelief, turned to the chefs, his voice shaking. "What are you doing? Do you really have no idea how powerful Don Krieg is?" His voice cracked under the pressure of the situation.
Sanji, ever determined, stepped forward, his usual calm demeanor replaced by a fire in his eyes. "If anyone tries to take this restaurant," he said, his voice steady but with an undeniable edge, "I'll kill them." His words were harsh but filled with an unshakable resolve.
Luffy, still standing with Goku and Zoro, frowned and spoke up. "You said you don't know anything about the Grand Line, but I know you've been there." his words dripping with curiosity. "What are you hiding?"
Gin's eyes widened in fear, his hands trembling slightly as he tried to explain. "Nothing makes sense," he muttered. "On the seventh day, our fifty-ship fleet was destroyed by a single man. If it wasn't for the storm, that man would've wiped us out entirely."
The room fell silent as Gin's words sank in. "That man had lifeless hawk eyes," he said, his voice filled with fear and awe.
Zeff's expression darkened, and he nodded gravely. "Yep. That's Hawkeye," he muttered.
Zoro's eyes widened in shock. "Hawkeye?" he repeated, his voice a mix of disbelief and recognition. "You mean... Mihawk?"
Luffy, standing at the center of it all, raised an eyebrow. "You know him?" he asked, glancing over at Zoro, who was clearly processing the information. Zoro nodded slowly, his expression serious.
"Yeah," Zoro said, his voice low and filled with conviction. "He's the reason I sailed out to become the greatest swordsman. Mihawk is the man I have to beat."
Luffy grinned, the excitement in his eyes never fading. "So, you've met him?" he asked Zoro, his enthusiasm palpable.
Zoro's jaw tightened as he stared off into the distance. "Not yet," he replied. "But I will. I'll beat him one day."
Everyone rushed out upon hearing Don Krieg's loud yelling for his men to charge
But their eyes widened in disbelief. Don Krieg's massive ship, once a symbol of his power, was now being sliced apart as if it were nothing. The massive vessel cracked and split into three large sections, the wooden beams groaning as the Baratie began to shake violently. Goku's eyes narrowed, sensing something even stronger approaching.
"I feel someone strong coming," Goku said seriously, his voice barely above a whisper. His tail flicked nervously as he focused on the approaching presence.
Before anyone could respond, a deafening crash echoed through the air, and the giant ship began sinking into the ocean. Don Krieg's men were sliding down the broken pieces of the ship, screaming as they plunged into the ocean
Johnny and Yosaku, in the water swimming, approached the group. They were panting and looked tired, but there was something urgent in their eyes. Zoro quickly stepped forward, concern in his voice.
"You two okay? Where's Nami?" Zoro asked, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword
Johnny, his face filled with worry, spoke up. "big sis Nami…" His words were ragged as he caught his breath. "She took the ship and sailed away…"
The crew stood frozen, their minds racing. "What?!"
