One Piece's Bizzare Adventure

Chapter 21: New Stand

That night.

In Naples, at the "Chagrand" hotel.

"Ouch, aw!"

Polnareff grimaced and looked at Avdol, who was changing his bandage.

"Can't you be gentler?"

Before Avdol could reply, he continued, "So, I'm telling you, men are useless. Where is the cute and young nurse? I demand a replacement!"

At his words, Avdol increased the pressure on his hands without expression.

"Ah!"

Polnareff immediately let out a pig-like howl of pain.

Fortunately, this was an expensive hotel with excellent soundproofing.

Otherwise, someone would have complained about them!

After changing the bandage, Avdol, feeling irritated by Polnareff's antics, sat on the sofa, sighing heavily.

"Finally, it's over."

"Hey, what's with that expression? Are you disgusted with me? Muhammad Avdol, you've changed!"

Polnareff kept rambling on.

Avdol, annoyed by his incessant chatter, couldn't help but say, "Alright, calm down for a while. Don't move around recklessly while injured, or your injuries will get worse!"

"I know my body, and I've had worse injuries before," Polnareff grumbled, "I just feel emotional and need to talk."

Avdol fell silent.

Poor Polnareff had a rough first battle; he was pulled into a bizarre mirror world before he could even face the enemy directly.

When he successfully escaped from the mirror world, it was supposed to be his time to shine, but his Stand that was isolated outside became a burden instead, nearly dying with a single blow.

Avdol comforted him, "Rest assured and recover from your injuries. Leave the rest to me and Jon."

"I also want to help."

Polnareff smiled bitterly.

It seemed like Naples was against him.

In Jon's words, this place was his nemesis!

So, Polnareff decided that after this incident, he would never come to Italy again!

At the same time, at the hotel reception.

"Ding, ding, ding."

The sound of the telegraph machine was rhythmic, somewhat addictive at first, but over time, it became irritating.

Under the gaze of the receptionist, Jon picked up the freshly printed telegram, feeling a hint of warmth, and scanned its contents.

After a moment of contemplation, he turned to the receptionist and smiled kindly.

"Hello, is there a computer in the hotel?"

"Ah, yes, please follow me."

For no apparent reason, the receptionist blushed slightly and led Jon into the hotel's computer room.

Upon entering, Jon couldn't help but sigh.

The computer from 1988 was extremely outdated, bulky, and slow. It could do nothing except send emails.

Fortunately, he didn't plan on playing League of Legends across time and space; being able to send emails was sufficient.

"Is there anything else you need?"

Staring at Jon's handsome face, the receptionist mustered her courage and asked.

Jon glanced at her and shook his head gently, "No, I don't need anything else, thank you."

A clear refusal, leaving no room for sentiment.

The receptionist was extremely disappointed. After bowing, she lowered her head and left the room.

Jon didn't mind.

One night stand in Naples?

Forget it.

There was a more important thing to take care of!

After sending an email to Joseph, Jon waited a long time before receiving a reply.

Opening the email, he waited another ten minutes before seeing the attached picture: a dimly lit office with curtains drawn, containing nothing but a desk and a few decorative green plants.

Behind the desk sat a man with long hair covering his face, making his features indistinct.

Jon narrowed his eyes and whispered softly, "Diavolo."

Returning to his senses, he looked at Joseph's email.

"Jon, is your trip with Avdol going smoothly? Everything is fine at home, so don't worry. Recently, your mother's menopausal symptoms have surprisingly improved. She asked me to pass on a message to you, saying she misses you very much. By the way, to help you out, I accidentally broke a Canon EOS 650. When you come back, I hope you can reimburse me for it. - Joseph Jostar."

"Heh."

A smile appeared at the corner of Jon's mouth.

Then, he forwarded the email to Jotaro.

Italy was eight hours ahead of Japan, and since it was late at night here, and it should be morning over there for Jotaro.

Perfect timing.

This time, Jon sat in front of the computer until dawn waiting for his nephew's reply.

Unlike Joseph, Jotaro sent many sketches with a pen.

No need to guess, it was definitely the work of "Star Platinum."

"Now I see where you're going!"

Jon suddenly felt wide awake.

For example, if Joseph's initial picture was in 360P, then "Star Platinum," relying on its extraordinary precision, managed to boost the picture quality from 360P to 4K!

Given that current screen resolutions aren't that extreme, Jotaro meticulously outlined the details in many sketches.

Truly, Jotaro, with his stern exterior and sensitive interior, gets a thumbs up from his uncle!

After examining each sketch, Jon quickly found useful clues: the gray curtains behind Diavolo faintly revealed the silhouette of a dolphin-shaped billboard.

In other words, finding the dolphin-shaped billboard in Naples is akin to pinpointing Diavolo's location!

On the other side, at a renovation company, in the manager's office.

"Why... why haven't I received any news?"

Jon had been awake all night, and so had Diavolo.

An inexplicable unease lingered in his mind, like an unshakable nightmare.

He didn't want to admit it, but the Hitman Team led by Risotto Nero was likely in trouble.

"Who is it? Who's behind this?"

Diavolo grabbed his hair with twisted face.

He couldn't remember who he had offended.

First Polpo, then Risotto.

Who's next?

Him?

With this realization, Diavolo felt he couldn't sit idly by; he had to do something!

Taking out a sheet of paper, he pondered for a few seconds before leaving a message on it.

"Dear Doppio, now I need you to do something for me. It concerns the future of our gang, so please take it seriously. Three foreigners have invaded our beloved Naples. Go investigate secretly, and once you gather useful information, contact me using the usual means. -Boss."

The pen stoped, and a pink flush appeared on Diavolo's forehead!

Then, his eyes rolled back, and he lost consciousness instantly.

Minutes later, Doppio, who had a completely different figure and aura, woke up leisurely and saw the note on the desk.

"Ah, it's boss's handwriting!"

He quickly read it word by word.

After reading the entire letter, Doppio carefully folded the paper, put on his coat, and walked out the door.
