One Piece:Becoming the King of the World from the Rocks Era

Chapter 301: Chapter 301: The Clone

"You've been learning from Caesar about flattering people, haven't you? Tell me about your recent experimental results. Don't tell me all you've done is enhance the Seven-Star Sword," Li Yuan said, eyeing Yumaz with feigned annoyance.

"Captain, you're wronging me! I've made quite a few inventions recently," Yumaz replied.

"For instance, I've improved the signal converter based on the signal receiver. It's now widespread across the Infinite Sea. Any time a Den Den Mushi is used within the Infinite Sea, the signal converter captures its signal, which is then relayed through it to broadcast across the sea."

"This allows us to effectively monitor the Den Den Mushi signals without disrupting their use."

"Also, as you requested, I've combined the signal receiver and transmitter into one device to create a new type of Den Den Mushi. I've succeeded in that as well," Yumaz said proudly.

"Oh? Let me see!" Li Yuan's interest was piqued.

"Captain, here it is—the new Den Den Mushi you named 'Mobile Phone.'"

"The mobile phone functions like a Den Den Mushi for calls, conversations, taking photos, recording videos, and storage. It's essentially a different kind of Den Den Mushi, but its signal is completely different. Even the World Government can't monitor our mobile phone communications," Yumaz explained, handing over a black mobile phone roughly the size of a brick.

Looking at the bulky device, Li Yuan couldn't help but think of early mobile phones, which were large and cumbersome.

"Yumaz, the invention of the mobile phone is impressive, but it's too large. You need to make it smaller, about the size of a Den Den Mushi."

"Now that the technology is developed, see if there are any improvements to be made, and replace all Den Den Mushi within the Infinite Sea with your invention."

While not satisfied with the size, he was pleased with the basic functionality. The original aim was to eliminate the monitoring of Den Den Mushi within the Infinite Sea to prevent the World Government from spying.

As technology advanced, Den Den Mushi were increasingly used in everyday life, and he was aware of the potential risks if they were compromised.

"Captain, I understand. Give me two months, and my invention will completely replace the Den Den Mushi."

"But Captain, our mobile phones can only be used within the Infinite Sea. Beyond 100 kilometers, they won't work," Yumaz noted.

This limitation was due to the reliance on signal stabilizers and towers within the Infinite Sea, a drawback of the mobile phone.

"That's fine. Focus on replacing Den Den Mushi within the Infinite Sea. All communications within the sea must use mobile phones. Outside the sea, they can switch to Den Den Mushi."

"Your task is to improve the mobile phone, making it smaller and more functional than the Den Den Mushi."

"And also solve the problem of using them outside the sea," Li Yuan instructed.

"Improving the mobile phone is no problem, but you know the issue—we rely too much on signal towers. To use them globally, we'd need to build towers worldwide," Yumaz pointed out.

Building signal towers worldwide would be challenging, even with the resources of the Infinite Pirates. The World Government would likely destroy them quickly.

"That's simple. Within the Infinite Sea, use our special signal. Outside, let it mimic Den Den Mushi signals," Li Yuan suggested.

"Captain, you're a genius! This will solve the mobile phone's limitations!" Yumaz exclaimed, realizing he'd been stuck in a mindset that they couldn't mimic Den Den Mushi signals.

All Li Yuan wanted was to prevent Den Den Mushi from monitoring the Infinite Sea; what happened outside wasn't his concern.

While there was still a risk of monitoring, Li Yuan wasn't worried. Future improvements could address this.

The Infinite Sea hosts several key laboratories with scientists like Lazuli, Yumaz, Caesar, Soros, and Judge working independently on significant research projects.

"Judge, how are your experiments progressing?" Li Yuan asked upon arriving at Judge's lab.

"Captain, the clone experiment has been perfected. Using Barrett's body samples, the clone's physique is incredibly strong, capable of single-handedly defeating a Navy Headquarters Major!"

"As Barrett's physique continues to improve, future clones might even take on a Navy Headquarters Colonel," Judge explained as he showed Li Yuan the clone lab.

"Have these clones met the requirements I outlined?" Li Yuan asked, observing the growing clones in containers.

"Captain, they're designed as you requested. The clones have no emotions and follow orders. Their primary command protocol is set to your orders, followed by the four ladies', with other command levels yet to be set," Judge confirmed.

"Excellent. Begin mass production. Keep 200 clones for your use. The rest will go to Yadina and Shakky," Li Yuan instructed.

"No problem, Captain!"

"While researching, I discovered a way to enhance the clones' power using Vegapunk's Life Design. I've named it the Lineage Factor."

"I theorize that the Lineage Factor is similar to Devil Fruit powers but different. By integrating it into clones, they can wield powers like lightning, fire, or poison, significantly boosting their combat ability to possibly reach Rear Admiral or Vice Admiral levels!"

"If successful, the Lineage Factor could even be applied to humans, granting Devil Fruit-like powers without consuming the fruit."

"This experiment, if successful, would greatly enhance the Infinite Pirates' strength!" Judge said excitedly.

"Your idea is promising. Clones don't all need to be based on Barrett. Experiment with integrating strong beast genes."

"Also, research robots. Use special alloys to create powerful combat robots."

"In short, focus on using the Lineage Factor to create stronger clones and potentially apply this to humans," Li Yuan instructed, considering Judge's idea akin to the original concept of Seraphim.

"Captain, your thoughts align perfectly with mine. I plan to pursue this line of research!" Judge agreed.

"That's all for now. I'll check back after you've made progress," Li Yuan said, leaving Judge's lab and heading to Yadina's office.

"My husband, what brings you here?" Yadina paused her work as Li Yuan entered.

"Darling, do you remember my mention of the ancient weapon Pluton hidden beneath Wano Country?" Li Yuan asked, pulling Yadina onto his lap.

"I remember, but you wanted to keep it secret from the Fish-Men, so you stopped them from exploring further," Yadina replied, snuggling into Li Yuan.

"Judge's clones will soon be mass-produced. I'll have him send some to you."

"Have them continue searching for Pluton beneath Wano. They don't need to excavate it entirely, just enough to access its interior."

"Keep this confidential. Only we should know—not even the children," Li Yuan stressed.

Understanding the gravity of the situation, Yadina agreed to keep Pluton's existence a secret.

"Leave it to me, my husband. I'll ensure no information about Pluton leaks," Yadina promised.

With Yadina's serious expression and the softness of her presence, Li Yuan's thoughts began to wander.
