Chapter 102: Chapter 78.1 : Meeting Doflamingo!!
Port City Spider Miles, North Blue.
As the pride of this port city, the deep-water harbor of Spider Miles could handle a huge volume of goods every day. Countless cargo ships docked here regularly, either bringing in or shipping out large amounts of goods.
But today, the harbor was unusually quiet. The usual bustling noises of people coming and going had completely vanished.
A group of men in black suits had cordoned off the port, blocking anyone from entering or leaving.
Normally, sealing off such an important port would be a death wish. The logistics here affected countless powerful groups and organizations. Anyone brazen enough to block the port would, without question, provoke the wrath of the entire city—or even the whole island.
Yet the people of Spider Miles remained silent.
This was because the ones who had taken control of the port weren't just anybody. They were the undisputed rulers of this city, if not the entire nation.
The Donquixote Family.
They had been here for some time now. In this small, non-government-affiliated nation, no one dared defy their orders.
Everyone knew that the man named Donquixote Doflamingo was the true master of this city.
And now, standing on the port docks...
The city's ruler, Doflamingo, was dressed in a flamboyant red suit, draped in a red feathered cape, and wore black sunglasses, radiating an intimidating charm.
Several men stood beside him.
One of them was Umit.
Another was Trebol, a high-ranking officer of the family, a sticky, slimy man who looked as if he were made of snot.
Also present was Pica, another top officer, whose towering build was so massive he seemed like a giant sculpted from stone. He stood silently behind Doflamingo like an immovable rock.
Finally, there was another man wearing a feathered cape similar to Doflamingo's, though his was black. His face was painted with exaggerated makeup, resembling a clown.
Behind this group stood regular family officers, along with a few younger members.
"The Young Master came to personally welcome them, huh?"
A chubby boy with round cheeks whispered in awe, "I wonder who the big shot is this time?"
Beside him was a little girl who looked no older than ten, curiously glancing at a young boy nearby. "Law, what do you think?"
The boy called Law was slightly older than the girl but younger than the round-faced boy, appearing just over ten years old.
Wearing a spotted fur hat, with dark circles under his eyes and a blank expression, the young boy stood in tattered clothes, his gaze filled with a dangerous aura.
The boy didn't answer, only casting a fierce glare at the girl.
The small girl was instantly frightened, her eyes welling up with tears as she turned her head away in fear. "So scary."
The round-faced boy couldn't help but mutter, "If you're so scared, don't provoke him, then."
"Quiet, kids. They're coming!"
A sharply dressed gentleman, with a scarf around his neck and a cigarette dangling from his lips, hushed them in a low voice.
"Yes, Brother Señor Pink!"
The round-faced boy immediately responded, silencing himself along with the girl.
Despite this, all three stretched their necks to peer curiously into the distance.
They saw a ship—a massive sea vessel sailing across the waves.
"Heh heh heh! Finally, they're here!"
Doflamingo couldn't resist chuckling under his breath.
"Doffy, don't get too cocky in front of Ian,"
Umit, who'd dealt with Ian before, couldn't help but warn his friend again, "He might be young, but he's not easy to fool."
"Of course, I know that,"
Doflamingo replied casually.
It was no joke—he was counting on the Beasts Pirates to help elevate his empire to the next level.
How could he afford to offend the heir to the Beasts Pirates?
"They're finally here!"
The sticky, slime-like Trebol exhaled a long breath, "Ian the Incinerator! His name's been echoing across the world lately."
None of them noticed that the man draped in a black feathered coat was yawning, though his hands in his pockets had already tightened into fists.
Doflamingo alone was enough trouble, and now he'd even managed to form a connection with the Beasts Pirates!
If the Donquixote Family truly joined forces with the Beasts Pirates, who in the North Blue would be able to stop them?
His brother would only grow even more reckless.
"Sengoku, sir, what should we do next?"
In any case, the large ship was drawing ever closer, finally coming to a slow stop at the port. A gangplank was lowered from the deck.
"Oh! Finally here, huh?"
The first to leap onto the gangplank was a young girl with white hair.
Her long, beautiful hair was tied into a high ponytail, and she wore ultra-short overalls over a white T-shirt, with yellow sunglasses perched on her nose, radiating youthful energy.
"Yaho! Hello there!"
The young girl waved cheerfully at the crowd below, radiating an innocent kind of silliness.
Of course, no one here dared to underestimate her.
She was Kaido's daughter.
The man with the clownish face paint, Donquixote Rosinante—Doflamingo's beloved younger brother—held his breath at the sight.
Although she wasn't wanted by the authorities, it didn't mean her strength was lacking. In fact, during the fierce battle between the Beasts Pirates and the Whitebeard Pirates, she managed to defeat several division captains under Whitebeard's command.
The intelligence reports were spot-on; she really was inseparable from Ian the Skyfire.
Rosinante's gaze sharpened.
A dark-haired boy appeared at the top of the stairs, taking the girl's hand as they walked down together.
Strikingly handsome, with a slender build, he didn't show any sign of unusual maturity for his age. Just a handsome young man.
But he was far from ordinary.
Ian the Skyfire! The true second-in-command of the Beasts Pirates.
Disciple of Kaido, the King of Wano, and the overseer of all Beasts Pirates' operations.
More than that, a monstrous talent with a bounty reaching eight hundred million at the age of thirteen!
After the war between the Beasts Pirates and the Whitebeard Pirates, his bounty should have increased even more. The Marine Headquarters likely held back, believing his initial bounty was outrageous enough.
Just a step or two away from standing at the pinnacle of the world!
"Ian the Skyfire!"
The round-faced boy, Buffalo, couldn't hold back his excitement. "A top executive of the Beasts Pirates—he's the real deal!"
Ian the Skyfire.
Beside him, the spotted-hat-wearing youth, Trafalgar Law, was also staring in awe at Ian.
Compared to the Donquixote Family, the Beasts Pirates held a much stronger claim to the title of a truly destructive pirate crew.
If they were involved, even more would be wrecked, wouldn't it?
