Chapter 205: 205. Nothing
----
The development of the Tru Kingdom now hinges on its dominant economic position.
Once a fragile nation in the South Blue, it has transformed into a formidable power.
Regardless of whether others can defend themselves, Tru's thriving commerce secures its invincible stance in the global landscape.
It's no surprise that the meeting at the Alabasta Palace ended on unfavourable terms.
Without a better solution, the status quo persists, leaving unresolved tensions.
Even with the five-year tax-free system, Tru Kingdom's influence remains unchallenged. Despite initial free infrastructure investments, Alabasta is contractually obligated to cover these costs through taxes or direct payments in the later stages.
No matter how high Alabasta's taxes rise, they cannot sustain the costs of these extensive projects.
Losta, well-versed in business strategies, reflected deeply on King Anos' advice before arriving here.
"If you want the people of a nation to remain compliant, ensure they can earn money but not save it. Keep them constantly balancing between survival and hunger. Once they have savings, they'll lose their willingness to work," Anos had said.
This philosophy, ingrained in Losta, remains central to his practices.
In Alabasta, Losta is known for providing benefits to workers by establishing entertainment hubs amusement parks, casinos, and other venues where they can indulge in the pleasures of life.
However, the wages these workers earn barely cover their basic needs, with little left to save. While no one is forced into this lifestyle, the temptations are undeniable.
For the impoverished citizens of Alabasta, opportunities to accumulate wealth are scarce.
At the very least, these developments bring new experiences exotic fruits and vegetables from foreign lands that many Alabastan people had never tasted before.
The transformation began in Nanohana, initially famous for its fields of rapeseed flowers.
Now, this port city has become a thriving hub known as the "City of Perfume," with its fragrant scent spreading for miles.
Merchants at the port observe workers carrying goods marked with crescent-shaped emblems, a symbol of Tru Kingdom's exclusive trade.
These markings, signifying Tru's permission, often draw smiles from traders, as each shipment represents a lucrative opportunity.
Even pirates recognize the value of this commerce. Despite their reputation, many, including Doflamingo, a major player in the underground trade, choose to procure goods from Alabasta.
Tru Kingdom's strict policies prohibit pirate-flagged ships from conducting business, ensuring commercial zones remain conflict-free.
The rapid economic growth of the Tru Kingdom is evident in its trade and industry.
A single shipment of goods yields profits comparable to arms sales, leaving onlookers astounded by its success.
Within the Tru Kingdom itself, the capital has grown exponentially, now housing over eight million residents.
Its bustling population surpasses that of many nations and dwarfs neighbouring Crimea, which holds a mere five million citizens.
While the city thrives, the tru Palace remains untouched by modernity, retaining its historical charm.
Across the river, however, a modern metropolis rises, reflecting the kingdom's duality of tradition and progress.

In the palace hall, Anos and Fujitora engaged in a private discussion.
"General Fujitora, regarding the next batch of recruits heading to Skypiea for training, do you believe they meet the necessary requirements?" Anos inquired, holding a stack of documents.
The list detailed the skills of the recruits. Unlike the previous group of 10,000, this wave included 50,000 individuals a significant increase that would fully utilize Skypiea's military base.
Fujitora frowned slightly. "Your Majesty, accommodating such numbers on Skypiea is feasible. However, the Aboriginal residents will inevitably notice. This may expose the military base to outsiders."
Anos remained composed. "General Fujitora, there's no need to worry. At this stage, the secrecy of the base is secondary. The training of the first batch is nearing completion, and Tru Kingdom is now capable of self-defence, both commercially and militarily. The base will continue normal operations. Should the location be discovered, we can act swiftly to secure Skypiea."
Fujitora nodded thoughtfully. "Understood, Your Majesty. Perhaps I was overthinking. The unique location of Skypiea ensures its safety from unwelcome visitors."
A slight smile crossed the king's face. "Indeed, General. Let us focus on preparing the kingdom for any challenges that lie ahead."
