Chapter 194: 194. Speech -2
----
Fujitora didn't waste time on elaborate introductions. With just a few words, he began to demonstrate his power, aiming to earn the respect of everyone present.
Without the strength to back his title, no one would truly acknowledge him as the general of this elite force, no matter how high his rank.
What followed left everyone utterly stunned. With a single move, Fujitora brought thousands of soldiers to their knees, incapacitating the entire assembly in an instant.
Although they were unprepared, the overwhelming display of power was enough to command attention and respect from even the most sceptical.
The scene was jaw-dropping. No one in the field, not even the onlookers observing from behind, could stand unaffected by the pressure.
"How strong could a blind man really be?" they had wondered at first. But now, their doubts had been crushed.
"Where on earth did His Majesty find this monster?" Daiki muttered to himself, disbelief evident in his tone.
"Stop overthinking it," Abona replied with a wry smile. "We'll never figure out what His Majesty is planning. Just cooperate when the time comes, and don't let us embarrass ourselves."
The two men now fully understood why King Anos had appointed this blind, middle-aged man to lead the special forces.
Fujitora's power was overwhelming, and even they felt immense pressure in his presence.
As quickly as the crushing gravity had descended, Fujitora retracted it, allowing the soldiers to rise to their feet. One by one, they stood, their faces a mix of awe and lingering shock.
"I apologize for greeting you in such a harsh manner," Fujitora said, his voice calm but resolute. "It may have been unkind, but I hope you'll remember this moment. From this day forward, our kingdom will face great challenges, and you are only the first wave of soldiers. But you will not be the last."
"His Majesty has entrusted you with the sacred duty of protecting this kingdom and its people. By wearing this uniform and bearing this honour, you must commit yourselves to a life of justice—not just for your own conscience, but for the people and for our King.'
"The road ahead will be arduous. Training will grow harsher. But I believe that under His Majesty's leadership, this kingdom will one day stand as a beacon across the seas. The entire world will recognize our strength and sing His Majesty's praises!"
"Now, in front of His Majesty, I ask you—do you have the resolve to make this vision a reality?"
Before Fujitora had even finished speaking, the soldiers had instinctively re-formed their ranks.
As his final words echoed across the training ground, a thunderous roar erupted from the troops.
"YES, WE DO!"
Standing at the rear of the formation, King Anos smiled faintly. He did not doubt that he had chosen the right man for the job.
With Fujitora's arrival, the Tru Kingdom now had the strength to stand against even the Marines or the Yonko. The kingdom, once a small and vulnerable nation, had taken its first steps toward greatness.
"The soldiers are fired up," Anos noted with satisfaction. Turning to Abona and Daiki, he added, "Abona, let loose during the demonstration. Don't hold back, no matter the destruction. And Daiki, the same goes for you. Show your full strength. Let this serve as a lesson for everyone watching."
"Yes, Your Majesty!" the two replied in unison. Far from intimidated, they seemed eager especially Daiki. Ever since his last encounter with Yonko Kaido, he had been training tirelessly, desperate to close the gap between himself and the strongest fighters of the sea. This would be his chance to gauge his progress.
"Everyone, retreat to the edge of the training grounds!" Anos ordered, his voice steady yet commanding. Through his mastery of Observation Haki, he ensured that everyone heard him clearly.
Though puzzled at first, the soldiers quickly obeyed, forming neat ranks along the perimeter. The centre of the training ground, spanning over two square kilometres, was left completely empty a stage perfectly suited for a battle among titans.
Anos stepped forward, his expression serious. His body began to emit a faint blue light, and his eyes glowed with an even deeper azure hue. Raising his hand, he invoked his unique power.
"The Edge of Infinity."
A translucent barrier rippled outward, enclosing the battlefield in a shimmering dome. It was no ordinary barrier.
Those inside were confined within the space, unable to escape. This would allow the fighters to unleash their full power without endangering the onlookers.
Satisfied with his preparations, Anos exited the barrier and called out, "Abona, Daiki, it's time."
The two men exchanged a glance, their excitement barely contained. Without hesitation, they charged into the barrier. Fujitora followed at a measured pace, his cane tapping softly against the ground.
The soldiers watched with wide-eyed anticipation. Battles of this calibre were rarely witnessed, and they knew they were about to see something extraordinary.
Inside the barrier, the three warriors squared off, each exuding an aura of unparalleled strength.
For the soldiers of the Tru Kingdom, this demonstration would be more than a spectacle it would be the moment they realized the true potential of their kingdom's might.
