One Piece: Ultimate Villain

Chapter 11: 11. Pirate

Did you even need to ask?

"Who do you think I am? Bring the ship closer!"

As soon as Marsh spoke, his vision blurred.

The next second, he was standing on the deck of a battleship.

The sea breeze was chilly, and behind him stood dozens of female Navy soldiers.

Ain was among them.

Seeing the Navy ship approaching, the members of the Giant Shark Pirate Crew began to panic. Some of the less experienced ones even dropped their swords on the deck.

They might feel invincible when looting and plundering.

But against the Navy, pirates are nothing but prey.

Seeing this, the Giant Shark Captain Byrne scoffed coldly as he stood up.

Kicking one of his men, he shouted, "Useless fools! Pick up your swords! Just one Navy ship dares to take me head-on?

Have they even heard of me? The Navy scum that's died by my hand could fill the sea! Men! Let today's victory make our name resound across the ocean!"

Across the ocean?

Is the boss really going to engage with the Navy?

The first mate hesitated. As a pirate, he too wanted to be famous across the seas, but this was the Navy they were talking about!

Yet, hearing their boss, the rest of the pirates seemed invigorated, as if they'd been injected with adrenaline!

"Yeah! It's just one ship!"

"Exactly! I've killed Navy soldiers myself before with boss!"

"Damn it! Let today make my name famous across the ocean!"

"Fire!"

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The cannon fire echoed like thunder.

Their aim wasn't great, but the shells splashed up waves several meters high around the Navy ship.

"They dared to attack first?"

With the rocking of the ship, some of the soldiers stumbled. Marsh looked ahead at the pirate ship, visibly displeased.

"Shouldn't we contact Vice Admiral Tsuru, sir?"

A lieutenant, wiping the seawater from his face, asked with some concern.

"No need. Keep advancing."

Marsh shook his head calmly.

In battle, unity is everything. The lieutenant reluctantly followed orders.

Seeing that the Navy ship still dared to approach, Byrne's face twisted into a cruel, eager grin.

"Men! Bring the ship closer! There are women on that ship!"

"Women?!"

"Oh my! They're all women!"

Hearing this, the pirates rushed to the ship's side, staring hard at the Navy ship carrying Marsh.

When they realized the ship was indeed full of women, they howled like animals.

One even dropped his pants, mocking the Navy soldiers.

Marsh saw this and smirked coldly, raising his right hand.

Whizz!

With a sound slicing through the air, a fountain of blood burst from the crotch of the half-naked pirate, and he fell to the deck.

The Shigan technique.

"W-What just happened?"

"Hey, hey! Did they shoot us? I didn't hear a gunshot!"

...

Byrne and his first mate frowned.

As pirates with bounties in the millions, they recognized Rokushiki.

They knew that this move was one of the techniques... Shigan!

But there was still a distance of nearly a hundred meters between the ships...

Was this Shigan a sniper's weapon?!

There's a skilled fighter on the other side!

The first mate glanced at Byrne, and Byrne understood.

"Men! Open fire!"

At the boss's command, the pirates began shooting, though they were poorly trained and their shots were scattered.

But with hundreds of guns firing, a few shots inevitably hit their mark by sheer luck.

"Take cover! Return fire!"

After dodging a bullet, Marsh gave the order.

The Navy soldiers took cover, as they'd trained to do, and began firing back.

Gunfire erupted from the battleship, and the Giant Shark Pirate Crew's numbers started to dwindle.

Watching his men fall one by one, Byrne could no longer sit still.

"Bring the ship closer! We're taking those women!"

"Yeah!"

"Charge!"

...

As the two ships drew closer, the pirates threw grappling hooks toward the battleship, pulling their ship in faster.

Some bloodthirsty pirates, using cover from their comrades, began biting their blades and climbing the ropes toward the battleship!

Ain watched the fierce expressions of the pirates and heard the screams all around.

She remembered the night her family was brutally slaughtered.

In that moment of distraction, a bullet flew toward her.

All she could do was close her eyes and wait for death.

'Father, Mother, I'm sorry.'

'Even after all I sacrificed, I still couldn't avenge you.'

After a long half-minute, Ain realized she was still alive!

Opening her eyes a crack, she saw a hand in front of her.

Between its index and middle fingers was a bullet.

"Stay focused in battle~"

The cool, familiar voice rang out.

The man she both feared and resented was smiling down at her.

Was it… him who saved her?

The next moment, Marsh vanished from her sight.
