Chapter 11: Chapter 11:First Bounty!
The Cocoyasi Village island, held aloft by the massive balloons and rockets Yami had pulled from his Minecraft inventory, finally descended into the Calm Belt. The day before, Yami had gathered the villagers and his crew, informing them about his decision to establish his base in the Calm Belt. Everyone present had received a general rundown of the Calm Belt, the two Grand Lines, and the pirate system—including the Seven Warlords and the Four Emperors. Yami had already considered Cocoyasi Village as his main territory, intending to expand it and build a stronghold in the Calm Belt. With the advanced technology from the Minecraft Science Mod at his disposal, there was practically nothing he couldn't accomplish here.
As the island gently landed on the still waters, Yami hovered in the air, his wings spread wide. He pulled out a white box labeled Indestructible Territory Barrier. This box functioned on the same principle as Minecraft's claim system—once activated, other players couldn't destroy the marked territory. In the real world, this meant no one could harm his land, as no one besides him possessed the Minecraft abilities granted by his Devil Fruit.
Pressing the button on the box, Yami watched as it vanished. From this moment on, any island he claimed as his own would become completely indestructible to outside forces, including natural disasters and even Sea Kings.
Next, Yami created a glass bubble around himself and dove underwater. He carefully placed invisible Minecraft barrier blocks in the shape of Cocoyasi Island's foundation. Once completed, the island settled onto the barrier blocks, preventing it from sinking.
Flying back up, Yami shattered the glass bubble with a swift punch, then landed smoothly on the island. His eyes swept across the gathered villagers before settling on Nami, Nojiko, and his newest crewmate, Makino, who had joined after some persuasion. The only one still undecided was Tashigi, who sat on the roof of Nami's house, gazing off into the distance.
Yami didn't push her. Instead, he focused on his next task. He reached into his inventory and pulled out several spawn eggs, turning his attention to the farm now occupying the land where Arlong Park once stood. His gaze then shifted to the barn he had constructed for the villagers, surrounded by sturdy wooden fences.
One by one, he tossed the eggs inside. Within moments, the barn was filled with animals—pigs, cows, goats, sheep, chickens—all identical to their Minecraft counterparts with their blocky bodies and cartoonish designs. By now, the villagers and Yami's crew were used to these creatures, having already received one of each on the first day.
Turning to Genzo, the mayor of Cocoyasi Village, Yami began explaining the responsibilities he would have in maintaining the village and guiding the people.
Once that was done, Yami grabbed another set of eggs and threw them to the ground. Instantly, ten massive Minecraft Iron Golems materialized. Their towering frames and glowing eyes gave them an imposing presence. Yami instructed them to protect the villagers and defend the island from any threats.
After ensuring everything was in place, Yami bid farewell to the villagers and motioned for Nami, Nojiko, Makino, and Genzo to follow him toward Genzo's house.
Tashigi, who had remained on Nami's rooftop, finally stirred. Without a word, she leapt down and followed them.
Once inside, Yami led them to a table in the room. With a smirk, he reached beneath it and pressed a hidden button. The sound of shifting mechanisms filled the air as a section of the wall slid open, revealing a concealed chamber.
The group gasped in surprise as their eyes fell upon what was inside. Arranged neatly in the hidden space were dark brown sand blocks adorned with eerie, soul-like designs—Soul Sand. Above the blocks, three black skull-shaped blocks rested on a shelf, resembling skeletal remains.
Yami turned to Genzo. "If an emergency arises while my crew and I aren't here, you need to place these skulls on top of the Soul Sand." His voice was calm but carried an underlying warning. "The entity that appears will likely destroy this house during the summoning process… but it will immediately attack any enemy that dares to set foot on this island."
Genzo swallowed hard but nodded. "Understood."
Yami pressed the button again, sealing the hidden chamber behind the wall.
Internally, he smirked. 'I wonder which fool will be the first to taste the wrath of the Wither?'
The mobs in his inventory had their strength adjusted to match the One Piece world's power scale. The only reason Yami had managed to defeat the Wither and its allies in the past was because, to him, they still only had Minecraft-level strength at the time. But now?
If he had to estimate the Wither's power in the One Piece world, he would say it could give an Admiral some trouble—occupying them for at least an hour before finally going down.
Yami's musings were abruptly cut short as a villager burst into the house, panting heavily. His face was flushed with urgency as he stammered, "S-Sir! A news coo bird arrived today!"
Raising an eyebrow, Yami reached out as the villager handed him a freshly delivered newspaper. Flipping through the pages, his eyes landed on a bounty poster tucked inside.
The Angel Of Death
Yami Fujiwara
Bounty: 2,000,000,000 Berries.
Wanted: Dead!
The room fell into stunned silence before a collective gasp erupted from the group—everyone except Yami.
2 billion.
Nami's reaction was immediate and extreme. She grabbed the newspaper from Yami's hands, staring at it with wide, trembling eyes. "T-Two billion?!" she shrieked. Her hands shook as she practically collapsed to the ground, flailing in pure panic. "An Admiral is definitely coming after me now!! I knew it! I just knew it!" she wailed comically, her tears streaming dramatically.
Nojiko tried to calm her sister down, patting her back reassuringly. "Come on, Nami, freaking out won't change anything—"
"Yes, it will!!" Nami interrupted, gripping Nojiko's shoulders with a death grip. "I need to run! I need to hide! Maybe if I leave the crew now, they won't come after me—"
Genzo, meanwhile, had already passed out, slumping onto the floor as he mumbled in his unconscious state, "How... how will I manage the village... if an Admiral keeps attacking...?" His mutterings trailed off into incoherent babbling.
Makino, who had remained quiet until now, wore an expression of complete disbelief. Her eyes were glossy with unshed tears—comedic tears. She stared blankly ahead, her mind seemingly elsewhere as a flood of thoughts crashed over her. 'In the past, a certain red-haired bastard manipulated me and that little kid, Luffy... then I became a slave to those damn Celestial Dragons... and now, after finally being saved by my kind captain, I find out he's worth 2 billion?!'
She sniffled dramatically. 'Why does my life keep going from bad to worse?!'
Tashigi, who had been deep in thought earlier, snapped out of her daze at the shocking number. Her grip tightened on her sword as her expression turned conflicted. 'Should I join him… or not?'
Yami, however, showed none of their panic. Instead, a wide grin stretched across his face as he stared at the 2 billion bounty. His eyes gleamed with amusement and excitement. But what truly caught his attention was the status underneath—Dead.
His smirk deepened. "So... that makes me the first pirate to get the death sentence bounty, huh?"
