Chapter 116: Chapter 115
"Admit it!" Bonney grinned as she threw her punch at him, which he blocked by crossing his arms.
"Admit what?" He smirked and blocked the kick that came at his head.
"That I am the best!" She said and proceeded to stretch her left arm and wrap it around him before flinging him down to the ground.
A loud crash sounded out as dust and debris rose, and those who were watching Bonney spar with Sin were in disbelief at her Devil Fruit Powers.
She was simply unpredictable, and ridiculously talented too, having managed to learn Advanced Armament Haki even before Robin, Lily, or Hancock had familiarised themselves with it.
Now, Sin, Yamato, and she could use both Emission and Internal Destruction, and Bonney had a lot of fun yesterday when she defeated Augur and Lily, who were teaming up against her.
"Not bad." They heard Sin's voice and saw him emerge from the cloud of dust as he rushed at her, continuing their spar.
However, as time passed, and as he kept getting faster and faster, the Pinkhead found herself at the losing end.
"No fair." She complained, growing tired after using her Powers extensively, and then just stopped, not even bothering to block the kick that was coming to her side.
Sin stopped a few inches from her body, and then grinned at her.
"I am the best."
"Hmph!" She simply turned around and started walking towards their crew, not saying anything, and then happily smiled when everyone praised her for the fun battle that they had just witnessed.
"You are the best, Bonney!" Nami told her, and the Pinkhead nodded her head.
"I know, right? He is just mean and doesn't want to admit that I am better than him."
The girls laughed at her words and then dragged her away with them as they decided to head to the God's Shrine for lunch.
Sin, who was about to head to Angel Island, where Hiyori and Robin were shopping, rushed towards the Black Pearl when he heard a Den Den Mushi ring.
He smiled when he arrived in his Cabin and saw the Den Den Mushi that was ringing.
"Hey, Granny!"
There was a pause at the other end which lasted a few seconds, but eventually, he heard her voice.
"You and your crew have been missing for months now," Tsusu said and waited to hear what he had to say.
"Oh, we found a very fun place and decided to stay there for a while. How are you?"
"Fine. Do you have the Eternal Pose for Rumsdale Island?"
"Yes." He frowned. "Should I bring the Devil Fruits with me?"
"If you can, then yes."
"Alright." He ended the call and then went inside the secret cellar to take out the two Devil Fruits from a chest. He then returned to his cabin to pick the Eternal Pose for Rumsdale Island.
Sin made a visit to Angel Island first to inform Robin where he was going, and then he was off towards the Island he had not been to since last year.
However, as soon as a thought crossed his mind, he returned to Skypiea and landed in the courtyard of the God's Shrine, where Vigaro and Augur were sparring.
"Captain." Augur immediately stopped, and the blue-haired man bowed to him.
"Come with me. We are going to make an errand." He nodded to the tall man and then asked Vigaro to follow him, who immediately complied and shot off into the sky to transform and follow his lead.
As fast his Vigaro was, he was simply no match for him in speed, and so Sin had to considerably slow down to allow his Protector to keep up.
Two and half hours later, having covered a distance of slightly over a thousand miles, Sin landed on the Island in a flash of Lightning, next to Tsuru, who was having a meeting with a few Rear Admirals.
"Quite a force you have gathered here." He smiled, but Tsuru ignored his question and looked at the sky, narrowing her eyes.
Soon, a giant Wyvern pierced the clouds and dived right at him, which panicked the Marines, but they stayed their ground as their Staff Officer had not give them any order yet.
Vigaro returned to Hybrid Form and then to his human form right before his feet touched the ground, and now a lot of people were looking at him with their mouths agape.
"What Devil Fruit is that?" Simca curiously asked.
"Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Wyvern." Sin answered her and then smiled at the Great Staff Officer, who was curiously looking at him. "So, what's the occasion?" He asked and then glanced at the girl with strawberry-blonde hair and green eyes, who was standing next to Tsuru, wearing a Rear-Admiral Coat.
She was looking back at him, curiously and mischievously, and Sin, sensing how mischievous she was, spoke before she could say anything.
"My, my, I wonder if you were as sexy as your granddaughter in your younger days." He smirked, taking his eyes off the girl and looking at the Granny, who immediately caught his ear and pulled him down to her.
"Behave yourself."
"Yes, yes." He laughed when she let him go and then reached into his Coat's pocket to take out a Devil Fruit. "Here." He threw it at Simca, who immediately caught him. "Got bored in Arabasta?"
"You were gone for months, and I had nothing to do there." She complained and then grinned at the Devil Fruit in her hands. "Thank you for the meal!"
The girl did not waste any time as she took a bite and immediately swallowed it, having been warned by her friends about how disgusting the Devil Fruits tasted.
And yet, she could not help but feel sick.
"Yuckkk!!"
"Delicious, isn't it?" He grinned and she threw the half-eaten fruit at him.
"If you think it is delicious, eat the rest." She said, and he just caught it and incinerated it out of existence.
"No thanks."
Simca grinned at him before she familiarised herself with the new sensations in her body, and she quickly tapped Hina's coat before stepping away and then imagined swapping her coat with hers.
She had stars in her eyes when she successfully swapped them in the blink of an eye and then switched them again.
"Awesome!"
"Congrats." He high-fived her and allowed her to play with him as they switched places as soon as their hands touched.
"Simca." Tsuru suddenly interjected, and the lemon-haired girl remembered the task they had at hand, immediately returned to her position, and stood in attention. "You can have fun later."
"Yes, Ma'am!"
The old lady nodded to her and then gestured to Sin to walk with her down the beach.
"What's happening?" He asked, and when she signalled to him to cover their conversation, he immediately used his Conqueror's Haki to shield it.
"Thirteen days ago, a Fleet of Marine Ships disappeared in this part of Grandline, near the Clam Belt that separates Paradise and East Blue. Two Vice-Admirals, four Rear-Admirals, and two thousand Marine Soldiers are missing."
"That was a big fleet." He frowned.
"There were Celestial Dragons on the Main Ship."
"Oh." He smiled. "I hope you don't think I did it."
She smiled at his words and then shook her head.
"You wouldn't leave a trace if it were you." She confidently said and then reached inside her coat and took out a file from it.
Sin kept walking as he started reading it, and the more he read, the more his eyes widened.
The file contained the intel that the Marine Fleet had shared during the battle, as well as their last words, and it seemed that everyone was mercilessly slaughtered.
"Strange Mist, War Pirates, the Second-Mate of Ragnus the Warmonger, Bach..." He stopped when he read the next piece of information. "Lunarians?"
"Yes." Tsuru curiously looked at him. "Where were you? You did not even hear the news?"
"It's in the papers?" He looked at her in surprise.
"Yes. But just a part of it." She nodded. "Some wreckage was found by the G2 Forces a week ago, and a dead body of a Celestial Dragon was found too, who had seemingly hidden inside a chest to save his life."
"How did the news leak?"
"A Marine Soldier who was working at the Base leaked the information." She sighed. "The world is in uproar right now. Those in Mary Geoise are mad. And War Pirates have appeared again after 15 years of absence."
Tsuru allowed him to finish reading the file which also contained information about the War Pirates.
"Fleet Admiral has requested that you help the Marines in the search."
"Requested?" He grinned.
"Yes." The Great Staff Officer nodded. "You can imagine how much pressure he is under right now."
Sin remained silent for a while and nodded his head.
"I will see what I can do." He said and then looked at the old lady. "You should stay out of these muddy waters at this age, Granny. Why are you on the search for them? Where's Kizaru?"
"He's been on the search for days now." She told him. "All the Marine Forces in Paradise are searching for War Pirates."
"Has the Reverie been delayed?"
"No. But the security of the Royals who are going to attend it has been fortified. The 1516 Reverie will take place exactly 16 days from now."
"Alright." He nodded. "Do you have some cash on you? I need to buy the Rum from the Villagers."
Tsuru helplessly giggled at his words and then nodded to him.
"Your payment for the Devil Fruits has been sent to your Queen in Winterheim."
"Come on, Granny. Just a few million Berries? I really don't have any cash on me right now."
"Fine. Just buy what you need, and I will pay them." She nodded, and he grinned at her before kissing her on her cheek, which dismayed the Marines who were looking their way.
"Thank you." He said and then appeared next to the Marine Rear-Admiral, who was curiously smiling at him. "You want one too?"
Sin leaned near Kujaku's face and was quite amused when she did not pull back but smiled more brightly.
"You are quite close to my Granny."
"Of course. She's my Granny too." He grinned.
"Where's my Devil Fruit then, Big Brother?" She asked.
"Well, give me a kiss, and I shall hand it over to you." He offered her his cheek, and just when Kujaku was about to lean in to tease him, he turned to face her and stole a kiss from her lips. "Sweet." He said before he disappeared from the place, leaving behind the dumbfounded Rear-Admiral, whose mind had gone blank.
"Pervert!" Hina cursed, quickly regaining her composure, and the rest of the Marines too finally reacted to what they had just witnessed.
"Eeehhhhh!!!"
Tsuru, who too had witnessed the scene, placed her palm on her face and helplessly shook her head.
And only Simca had the gal to laugh at Kujaku's expense, who was now looking at the Devil Fruit in her hands that had just dropped from the sky.
Vigaro wisely escaped from the place before he could be targeted for his Captain's actions, and when he arrived at Sin's side, on the other side of the Island, he understood that he had been brought there to carry all the Rum back to Skypiea.
