Chapter 203: The Uchiha Empire
-----
Uchiha Kitaro wasn't planning to keep anyone in suspense.
"Yes," he nodded. "I had someone dig it out."
Everyone was stunned. The Red Line had been dug through? That sounded absurd, almost magical.
"The ten main islands will be handed to the ten captains of the Uchiha Security Company. How those islands are used will be entirely up to them," Kitaro explained.
Jinbe's face lit up with excitement. As one of the ten captains now, he had the authority to manage one of these islands. A 30,000-square-kilometer territory—hundreds of times larger than Fish-Man Island.
Shisui couldn't contain his enthusiasm. "Kitaro-nii, does that mean both Itachi and I get to manage an island too?"
Kitaro grinned. "That's right. You can choose to live there or develop it however you like."
"Awesome! This is incredible!"
"However," Kitaro added with a mischievous smile, "you'll have to pay for everything out of your own pocket."
"Wait—what?!"
Jinbe dropped to his knees and bowed deeply. "Thank you, President!"
King Neptune, along with his sons and Shirahoshi, also expressed their heartfelt gratitude with respectful bows.
"I need to make one thing clear," Kitaro continued. "I'm building the Uchiha Empire. Once you've moved to the islands, Fish-Man Island will officially become a vassal state of the Uchiha Empire. From then on, your fate will be tied to ours."
"That's a given!" Neptune said firmly. "On behalf of Fish-Man Island and the fish-man race, I pledge our loyalty to the Uchiha Empire. We will defend it to the death!"
Neptune had made up his mind. Queen Otohime's dream was finally about to come true. Though it wasn't an alliance with the World Government, the Uchiha Security Company was second only to them in power.
Besides, the Uchiha clan had risen to prominence in just under a year and a half—who could say they wouldn't surpass the World Government in the future?
The Uchiha clan was renowned as a divine bloodline. Today, he had seen godlike power with his own eyes.
"Good. Start organizing construction workers and logistics teams. In a few days, I'll transport you to your new home so you can begin building it. That way, when you move, you'll have a place ready to live."
Kitaro had been keeping an eye on the progress. Golden Lion Shiki had completed most of the construction, with only minor adjustments left.
"This soon?!"
No one had expected their new home to be ready so quickly. Moving to live under the sun had been a distant dream for Fish-Man Island for centuries.
Fish-men were often discriminated against by humans, who saw them as monstrous. As for mermaids, they were hunted and sold at exorbitant prices in human markets, tempting countless criminals.
Even 200 years ago, the World Government classified fish-men and mermaids as mere fish.
Queen Otohime's dream coming true so quickly felt surreal to everyone.
"Soon? If you want, I can delay it."
"No, no, no!" Neptune quickly interjected. Waiting any longer? Not a chance! They'd been waiting for centuries already.
"In the Uchiha Empire," Kitaro assured them, "I promise there will be no discrimination against fish-men or mermaids. Over time, perhaps even the rest of the world will accept you."
"Thank you, Lord Kitaro!"
"Alright, now that business is done, let's get back to the feast!"
The atmosphere turned even livelier after that.
After the festivities, Kitaro stayed on Fish-Man Island for a few days, exploring the underwater world 10,000 meters deep and enjoying the unique experience.
In the meantime, Neptune had gathered about 50,000 construction workers and logistics personnel. Clearly, they wanted their new home built as quickly as possible for a smooth relocation.
On the day of departure, everyone gathered at the harbor with their supplies loaded onto ships. Using the Flying Thunder God Jutsu, Kitaro teleported the entire group to the floating islands.
"This is… the sun? The real sun?!"
"And those green things—are those trees?!"
"The colorful ones—are they flowers?"
Many fish-men and mermaids had never seen the sun, trees, or flowers before. Shirahoshi's eyes sparkled with wonder.
"Wait! Why is there an island floating in the sky?!"
Someone pointed to a massive, continent-sized floating island in the distance. It was an awe-inspiring sight.
"No! Not just that—our island is floating too!"
Others noticed that their own island was suspended in the air, surrounded by countless others. The scene left everyone speechless.
Even Boa Hancock, Shisui, and Itachi were stunned into silence by the breathtaking view.
"Kitaro-nii… this is… a floating island?!"
"Yep," Kitaro replied nonchalantly. "If we're building an empire, we've got to go big."
"How did you even do this, Kitaro-nii?!"
Shirahoshi's wide eyes shimmered with curiosity and excitement. Seeing her long-dreamed-of landscape had filled her with pure joy.
"Hey, look! Someone's flying over!"
The group noticed a figure approaching through the air, causing a commotion. Flying was not a common sight.
The person landed in front of Kitaro, kneeling on one knee. "Lord Kitaro!"
"Rise," Kitaro commanded.
"Yes, my lord!"
"This is Golden Lion Shiki," Kitaro introduced. "The Navy captured him half a year ago, but I broke him out of prison. He's been building the territory for the Uchiha Empire ever since."
"Golden Lion?!" Jinbe's jaw practically hit the floor.
Of course, Jinbe knew who Shiki was. The Golden Lion had been one of the greatest pirates of Whitebeard and Roger's era. Now, Shiki had joined Kitaro's ranks?
This was no ordinary addition. Shiki's strength was easily on par with a Marine Admiral.
Just how powerful was the Uchiha Security Company in secret? Jinbe couldn't help but feel more certain than ever that pledging loyalty to Kitaro and the Uchiha Empire had been the best decision for himself and Fish-Man Island.
