One Piece: Rising to Power as a Warlord of the Sea

Below the floating island, naval warships, which had been lying in wait to follow and strike, were pushed back thousands of meters by the massive tsunami unleashed by Golden Lion's devil fruit powers. One ship was completely destroyed, swallowed by the raging waves. Hundreds of sailors were thrown into the ocean, desperately swimming toward the nearest ship. Despite the chaos, Vice Admiral Onigumo remained calm, taking a drag from his cigarette before issuing a cold order to hold position.

A former Buster Call Vice Admiral, Onigumo was known for his ruthless, hawkish approach—reminiscent of Akainu. He cared little for collateral damage to his subordinates, so long as the mission was completed.

On the floating island above, three figures stood amidst the encroaching seawater, each with a different expression. Enel's usually smug demeanor had shifted to unease as he struggled to find a way out. Gin, on the other hand, remained calm, his gaze firmly on Natsu. He believed in his captain, trusting that victory was inevitable.

"Whoosh!"

"Wind Release – Gale Burst!"

In the air, Natsu quickly formed hand seals. A radiant Taiji diagram appeared, suspended in the sky, as wild gales roared around him. In his palm, a spiraling tornado grew larger and larger, its force pushing back the surrounding seawater. The winds reached their peak before detonating with an explosive burst. The massive sphere of water was shredded from within by the spiraling winds, sending a torrential downpour cascading like a storm.

"As expected of a legendary pirate," Natsu said, halting Enel, who was preparing to attack. "It seems I'll have to get serious."

Natsu raised his hand, and a pair of black-and-white Taiji-patterned gauntlets materialized. This was his first time using the gloves in combat, and he intended to show his opponent the true strength of a pirate of his caliber.

"Here I come!" Natsu bellowed, his voice echoing across the battlefield. Armament Haki surged over his arms, wrapping tightly around the Taiji gauntlets. Activating his speed ability, he moved like a bolt of lightning, his movements so swift that Golden Lion was forced to fully activate his Observation Haki to keep track of him.

But just as Golden Lion thought he had locked onto Natsu, the young pirate accelerated even further, splitting into multiple afterimages. Each image lunged toward Golden Lion, launching a barrage of attacks.

"Lion Strike – Thousand Cuts!"

Enraged, Golden Lion retaliated with lightning-fast kicks, unleashing a storm of devastating sword energy in all directions, slicing through the air with brutal precision, intent on obliterating Natsu.

"Overpowering Punch – City Shatter!"

Amidst the chaos, Natsu's voice rang out, solemn and commanding. Golden Lion instinctively raised his arms to block. Turning his head, he caught sight of Natsu right in front of him, his Taiji gauntlets glowing with an ominous brilliance.

BOOM!

The impact was cataclysmic. The force of Natsu's punch shattered the bones in Golden Lion's arms, even with Armament Haki reinforcing them. The sheer power of the blow sent Golden Lion hurtling backward uncontrollably, carving a deep trench in the ground. His flight only stopped when his body collided with a hill, splitting it in half.

"Overpowering Punch – Ocean Suppression!"

Seeing Golden Lion still moving, Natsu shook his head with a faint smirk. "As expected of a legend—one punch isn't enough. I'll need two."

With a steady hand, Natsu clenched his fist again, repeating the same seemingly simple action. But to onlookers, this simplicity was anything but ordinary.

The sea itself responded to Natsu's movements. Waves began to churn violently, forming a colossal vortex with a gravitational pull that threatened to consume everything in its path. Once again, the naval forces found themselves under attack. Unable to withstand the force, Vice Admiral Onigumo ordered a retreat, moving the fleet two nautical miles back. Watching the overwhelming clash of powers, he couldn't help but mutter, "These two… monsters. This isn't the work of mere humans."

Golden Lion, battered but not beaten, emerged from the crater, bellowing with rage. "Lion Might – Earth Roll!"

The once-calm island erupted into chaos as rocks and earth took on the forms of massive lion statues. The colossal figures, filled with ferocious momentum, charged toward Natsu, creating an apocalyptic scene that blotted out the sky.

Natsu, however, merely grinned. "Impressive. But not enough."

"Gravity Punch – Falling Star!"

Natsu threw what seemed like an ordinary punch. Yet, concealed within it was an immense gravitational force that rivaled a devil fruit ability. The punch struck the incoming lion statues, crushing them under its weight. Majestic lions collapsed into crumbling debris, their dominance erased in an instant.

Golden Lion's face twisted in disbelief. "What is this kid?! Is he a devil fruit user or not?!"

Natsu, hovering effortlessly in the air, called out with a smirk, "Hey, Golden Lion. You've seen it now—the pirate world belongs to the younger generation. Maybe it's time for you to retire in Impel Down."

Golden Lion spat blood, his anger boiling over as he steered the floating island toward the nearest sea. If he couldn't rule the world, he would destroy it, starting with Roger's homeland in the East Blue. His maddened laughter echoed as he prepared for his final act.

But Natsu, wasn't about to let that happen. "This is it, Shiki!"

"True Strike – Supreme Overpowering Punch!"

Ascending high into the heavens, Natsu split the dark clouds with his sheer presence. Golden light descended, illuminating the battlefield as a roaring flame ignited around Natsu. His body became a blazing meteor, descending with unstoppable force toward Golden Lion.

"Let's end this!"
