Chapter 13: Chapter 13: The Heart Cultivation Method!

If Enel could awaken the Observation Haki at such a young age instead of cultivating it independently, his talent would be truly remarkable. With casual training, he could become a top-tier individual.

However, it had been too long since Asa last watched anime in his previous life, and his memory of the Sky Island arc had become somewhat hazy. He vaguely recalled that there seemed to be a "Heart Guide" training method on Sky Island, something Enel himself had mentioned.

The "Heart Guide" refers to the Sky Islanders' method of cultivating Observation Haki.

If Birka truly possessed a way to train Observation Haki, Asa wouldn't hesitate to obtain and practice it. After all, though he had awakened the ability for several days, he still had little understanding of how to use or improve it. Having a specific method would surely be better than groping in the dark.

Perhaps recognizing a "kindred spirit"—another without wings—Enel seemed more willing to speak and did so with some enthusiasm.

"It's not that I can't beat them. I was better at fighting before, but when I beat them, they tell their parents, and then..."

Seeing Enel's angry expression, Asa felt that at this point, Enel was still an innocent child, far from the ferocious individual who would one day destroy the entirety of Sky Island without hesitation.

"If you can't beat them, why not call for help yourself? Why let them get away with it? Fighting is also a skill. If you lack strength, money, or influence, blaming others for their privileges won't help," Asa thought to himself, recalling lessons from his previous life.

Unaware of Asa's inner musings, Enel continued, "I saw this ability in a book my parents left me. It's called the 'Heart Guide.' I've been practicing it since I was little. Brother, what do you think? I can teach you if you'd like!"

His eyes shone with eagerness as he looked at Asa, clearly wanting to impress and gain the approval of someone he considered a peer.

When Asa met Enel's innocent gaze, he felt a pang of guilt. Just moments ago, he'd been plotting to steal the training method for Observation Haki and later claim the Thunder Fruit for himself.

"In return, I'll find you a better Devil Fruit after taking your Thunder Fruit," he thought silently, trying to justify his intentions.

"It's fine. I'll visit your home to see it in the future. I hope you won't hide it from me then," Asa said, patting Enel's fluffy head as he suppressed his guilt.

"Really? That's great!" Enel exclaimed, visibly ecstatic.

For the first time in his life, he seemed genuinely happy.

"Ahem!" Asa, who prided himself on being ruthless and unflinching, found it difficult to face the pure joy in a child's eyes. Changing the subject, he asked, "By the way, since your parents left something behind, where are they now?"

"In the infinite land," Enel replied, his excitement uncontainable as he continued to chatter around Asa.

"I'll find them one day in the infinite land."

The "infinite land" referred to the moon. Sky Islanders yearned for the infinite land, considering it their ultimate destination.

"Poor child," Asa thought, silently mourning for Enel's parents for three seconds.

The immediate problem had been resolved. Earlier, the mischievous kids who had beaten Enel had claimed they were trying to steal the designs for the "ship." They were likely referring to plans for the Ark Maxim, which Enel would later attempt to build to reach the infinite land.

"Then I wish you success!" Asa said.

"Thanks!" Enel replied with a determined nod.

After a bit more casual conversation, Asa found an excuse to part ways with Enel. He had more pressing matters—finding the Thunder Fruit that had become his dream.

But before that, shouldn't he first obtain the Observation Haki training method? And perhaps even steal the plans for the Ark Maxim hidden in the village?

Asa had no interest in the so-called "infinite land" or the moon. However, the Ark Maxim, a ship powered by electricity, was a treasure uniquely suited to the Thunder Fruit's owner.

A pirate ship that could fly with electricity was leagues ahead of a ship that merely sailed on water!

Asa couldn't contain his enthusiasm. Just imagining piloting this golden ship across the Red Line and firing a shot at the Holy Land Mariejois filled him with exhilaration. How helpless would the Celestial Dragons be, relying only on their aerial combat experts to retaliate?

On the Island of Gods, Upper Yard, the vast reserves of gold were the perfect material for constructing the Ark Maxim.

With the plans and materials gathered, plus the magical shells unique to Sky Island, this ship would overshadow the Thousand Sunny, Oro Jackson, and Moby Dick!

Thinking about this, Asa's heart burned with excitement. He couldn't wait for the day the Ark Maxim would be completed.

Following Enel back to his humble and worn-down home, Asa carefully searched and found the "Heart Guide" training method.

The principles of cultivating Observation Haki were simple. Since Asa had already awakened the ability, he skipped the basics and delved deeper.

He found a quiet corner to read and grew increasingly astonished.

The cultivation notes revealed that every living thing emitted a unique "sound" that could be perceived with Observation Haki. Astonishingly, even inanimate objects had their own "sounds," though perceiving them was far more challenging.

"Isn't this the legendary ability to Hear the Voice of All Things, like Gol D. Roger?" Asa thought, trembling with excitement.

As he continued, he found references to reading others' thoughts, sensing vitality, predicting death, and even glimpsing fragments of the future.

"This is insane!" Asa nearly laughed out loud. The book was a treasure trove of knowledge and an unparalleled boon to him. Even if he couldn't find the Thunder Fruit, the trip to Sky Island would have been worth it.

With his innate proficiency in Observation Haki, Asa was confident he could reach its pinnacle and explore every potential direction for its development.

If he succeeded—and combined it with the Thunder Fruit—who in the world could claim to surpass him in Observation Haki? Roger, Fujitora, Otohime? Impossible!

After carefully returning the book to its original place and ensuring no signs of tampering, Asa began scouring the room for traces of the Thunder Fruit.

Though Enel's parents had left behind the "Heart Guide," there was no guarantee they hadn't left the Thunder Fruit as well. Asa wouldn't let any opportunity slip by.

Enel, busy preparing food outside, remained unaware as Asa meticulously searched the room.
