One Piece: My Uncle Is Kizaru

Chapter 18: Chapter 18: After Level 10

##

As it turns out, people really shouldn't overestimate themselves.

Kyle's training lasted only a little over forty minutes before he collapsed to the ground, utterly exhausted.

"Huff~! Huff~!"

He gasped heavily, muttering in pain:

"Enough, this is way too exhausting."

"An hour of planking? Is this really just part of the preparatory training!?"

"This isn't preparation for Haki training; this is trying to kill me!"

Even though he now possessed superhuman physical abilities that he could only dream of in his previous life, after a period of intense training, Kyle couldn't help but feel both physically and mentally drained.

Especially since, back on Earth, he was the type of person who thought buying a gym membership counted as working out.

And the memories of his current body didn't include any grueling training experiences that he could draw upon.

Suddenly being thrust into forty minutes of high-intensity training was simply too much for him.

"With my current physical condition, who knows how long it'll take before I can even learn Haki."

"Training? Screw that!"

Having come to terms with his limitations, Kyle rested for a moment before slowly getting up and dragging his exhausted body to his desk.

Physical labor was clearly not his forte.

He decided to take advantage of his still-clear mind to think through his next steps.

He reached into a drawer beneath the desk and pulled out a nautical chart.

Next, they would head to a small town called Will to replenish their supplies.

At the same time, it would serve as a way to make their presence known, letting Smoker, who was chasing them, know their whereabouts.

Kyle's current plan was simple...

Spend some time drifting at sea, see if they could encounter some unlucky pirates, and rob them of their money and treasures...

Once Tashigi's level and combat power reached a certain standard, they would immediately set off for Shells Town...

The same town where Zoro and Luffy first met in the anime.

It was also the location of the Navy's 153rd Branch.

During his earlier conversation with Sengoku, although much of it was Kyle fabricating things to gain more support, the situation of the Navy in the East Blue was indeed far from clean.

Just from what was shown in the story, the 153rd Branch's Captain Morgan and the 16th Branch's Captain Nezumi were more than enough for Kyle to report to Sengoku.

These two individuals—one oppressed civilians and ruled tyrannically, while the other took bribes and colluded with pirates—were both far from the ideals of "justice."

Since Kyle was in urgent need of money, he would have to reluctantly target these two Navy captains.

Morgan's situation was harder to predict, and the gains might not be substantial.

After all, the guy was a massive narcissist who wasn't particularly interested in gold or treasures.

Although he was brutal, what he truly enjoyed was the respect and fear he commanded.

Under his rule, the people of Shells Town lived in constant fear, but at least their lives were somewhat manageable.

As for Captain Nezumi...

With Arlong regularly paying him off, Kyle guessed that he could squeeze at least a few hundred million Beri from him.

Unfortunately...

With their current strength, the Twilight Pirates weren't yet capable of taking on the Arlong Pirates.

Everything would have to be carefully planned.

Kyle leaned over his desk, writing down his plans, next steps, and potential obstacles in his notebook.

This was his personal habit.

Before taking action, he always liked to think through the logic and weigh the pros and cons.

Especially now that he was in the world of One Piece, even with the powerful backing of his uncle Kizaru and his cheat-like system...

On the open sea, no one could predict what might happen in the next second.

Having been given this second chance at life, he didn't want to be taken out prematurely due to carelessness before he could fully develop.

As Kyle was deep in thought...

A mysterious warm current suddenly surged through his body, spreading to every part of him.

"Huh!?"

Kyle was startled and instinctively stopped writing.

Glancing at the time, he immediately realized...

"Has it already been an hour?"

A thought flashed through his mind.

The system interface once again appeared in his consciousness.

Kyle deftly opened the companion panel and saw that Tashigi's attributes had been updated.

**[Companion: Tashigi (Rukia Kuchiki)]**

**[Talent: A]**

**[Level: 2]**

**[Experience: 0/120]**

**[Combat Power: 120]**

After an hour of training, Tashigi had successfully gained the 100 experience points rewarded by the Training Room.

Her level had risen from 1 to 2.

Looking at Tashigi's attribute panel, a gleam of joy flashed in Kyle's eyes.

"Just one level up, and her combat power increased by 80 points, double her level 1 combat power!"

"It seems the combat power increase is even more generous than I expected."

"No wonder that warm current felt so good!"

The crew works hard to train, while the captain levels up by sitting around.

Now that's more like it!

This is what life should be!

Kyle stood up and stretched his limbs.

Although the increase in combat power wasn't huge, it significantly alleviated the fatigue left by his earlier training.

Since he didn't have a talent rating, Kyle's combat power increase was evenly distributed across all attributes.

This might make him less specialized, but it also meant he had no glaring weaknesses.

After receiving Tashigi's combat power feedback, Kyle's mood instantly improved.

His mind also became more active.

After a bit of stretching, he sat back down and continued writing his plans for the future.

To prevent his memories from fading over time, he wanted to jot down all the plot points and information he could remember while they were still fresh in his mind.

This way, even if his memories became hazy in the future, a quick glance at his notes would help him recall many details.

Down in the Training Room below the deck, Tashigi was still engrossed in mastering the advanced techniques.

On the lookout platform, Little Diga transformed into the Heavenly Master Zhang Jiao, summoning gusts of wind that howled in all directions.

In the captain's quarters, Kyle was busy charting the future course of the Twilight Pirates.

Everyone had their roles, and everyone had a bright future ahead!

...

...

And so, the Twilight Pirates spent two quiet and peaceful days.

Although, from a time perspective, only two days had passed...

For Tashigi, who had just joined the pirate crew, it felt like two centuries!

...

...

In the captain's quarters.

Tashigi woke up beside Kyle and stretched comfortably.

Her colorful shirt rode up slightly as she raised her arms, revealing a glimpse of her fair, playful stomach.

Realizing her action wasn't very ladylike, Tashigi's face turned red. She quickly lowered her arms and glanced at Kyle, who was still sound asleep...

Seeing that he was still snoring, she carefully got up.

After tidying up the bedding on the floor, she quietly slipped out of the captain's quarters.

To help Tashigi recover her energy and fully commit to her training...

Kyle had been letting her rest in the captain's quarters with him for the past two days.

After experiencing the miraculous restorative effects of the captain's quarters, Tashigi, though blushing furiously, had reluctantly agreed to sleep there.

This time, however, Kyle didn't give her the bed, instead having her sleep on the floor.

After all, as long as she slept in the captain's quarters, the recovery effect was the same.

"A great day starts with training~"

After freshening up, Tashigi hummed a little tune and headed downstairs with her Zanpakutō.

As for her beloved sword, Sayo no Hana...

Although she felt a bit guilty, the bond between her and her Zanpakutō truly surpassed any other sword.

In Tashigi's eyes, even if someone offered her one of the twelve Supreme Grade swords, she would still choose her Zanpakutō without hesitation.

Entering the Training Room.

Tashigi walked straight to a piece of equipment made up of thin ropes with small balls attached.

This was a tool for training reflexes.

After thoroughly reading the notes Kyle had given her, she had decided to focus first on Observation Haki, which suited her better.

However...

Two days had passed.

Her Haki training hadn't even begun to take shape, but her overall strength had doubled!

And all of this was thanks to her newfound power...

Shinigami!

Over the past two days, every time she trained for a while, a surge of spiritual energy would suddenly appear in her body, and she would inexplicably learn a new Kidō spell.

When she told Kyle about this strange phenomenon, he simply replied, "It's normal."

Although she still didn't fully understand what was going on, the past two days had been nothing short of amazing!

Her enthusiasm for training had skyrocketed!

Every morning, she would skip breakfast and head straight to the Training Room to practice.

If it weren't for the daily 8-hour limit, she would have happily stayed there all day, never leaving!

As time passed...

While Tashigi was diligently dodging the erratic balls...

A mysterious energy suddenly surged within her body.

Tashigi's eyes widened in surprise as she felt the power flooding through her.

Even though she had mentally prepared herself, the sudden influx of energy was overwhelming, like a small snake slithering through her body.

She couldn't help but let out a soft, pleasurable moan.

"Mmm~"

Tashigi bit her lip.

Thankfully, she was alone in the Training Room, or she would have died of embarrassment.

But the sudden increase in power had genuinely startled her.

If Tashigi could see her own attribute panel, she would have noticed...

Her level had now reached 10!

And her combat power had skyrocketed!
