One Piece: My code name is Green Bull

Chapter 86: Clash with BIG MOM

As the giant tidal wave surged toward them, Jon, now transformed into a Wood Giant, raised his massive hands, green energy radiating as he quickly formed an enormous wooden shield.

BAM!

The wave crashed violently against the wooden shield.

Although Jon's shield was massive, the wave was even larger.

Most of the water was blocked, pushing Jon's Wood Giant form backward, sliding across the ocean's surface.

But the remaining water still smashed into the damaged warship, causing it to shake violently. Many navy soldiers lost their balance, falling into the sea.

Jon saw this happen—but he didn't rush to save them.

There was no point—the only way to save them was to stop Charlotte Linlin first.

Balancing himself on floating wooden platforms and underwater plant growth, Jon steadied his footing on the ocean's surface.

By now, BIG MOM was already dangerously close.

Jon didn't hesitate.

He charged straight at her.

Since Charlotte Linlin's flight altitude was low, Jon, standing nearly 30 meters tall, could reach her mid-air position.

He raised his colossal arm and swung a punch straight at Zeus.

"Mama!"

Zeus cried out in fear.

Although he was a created Homie, he still had his own thoughts and emotions.

Seeing Jon's massive fist hurtling toward him, he panicked, immediately calling for his mother's help.

BIG MOM's expression twisted in fury.

Even when facing a towering Wood Giant, she showed no fear—instead, she threw a punch of her own.

Unlike Jon's attack, hers was wreathed in flames—imbued with Prometheus' firepower.

BIG MOM had vast combat experience.

Against an opponent made of wood, fire was the perfect counter.

BOOM!

The two fists collided.

Jon's huge frame trembled, while BIG MOM was also forced backward, riding on Zeus.

But Prometheus' flames took effect—Jon's wooden arm ignited.

With a forceful shake, he extinguished the flames and swung another punch at BIG MOM.

BOOM!

Another direct clash.

Neither side gained the upper hand, but Jon had completely engaged BIG MOM in battle.

A Shocking Display of Strength

"That navy guy… he's actually fighting Mama head-on?!"

Perospero was stunned.

He knew better than anyone just how monstrously strong his mother was.

Yet, for the first time, he saw someone matching her in direct combat.

"When did the navy get someone this strong?"

He had never heard of Jon before.

Meanwhile, Katakuri frowned deeply.

Jon's strength was beyond what he had expected.

When they fought before, Jon hadn't even gone all out.

At this moment, Katakuri realized the truth—

In a direct battle, Jon was stronger than him.

"No… something's off."

Perospero looked over, confused.

"What do you mean?"

Katakuri narrowed his eyes.

"That navy guy… he's shrinking."

"Shrinking?"

Perospero blinked in confusion, watching for a while before shaking his head.

"I don't see any difference."

Katakuri spoke firmly.

"I'm sure of it. Every time he clashes with Mama, his body gets smaller. This must be the weakness of his ability."

His keen observation skills were right on target.

Jon's Wood Giant form was powerful, but it had a drawback.

BIG MOM was a monster among monsters.

That Jon could match her in strength was already proof of his technique's power.

However, his transformation wasn't permanent.

Jon had used massive amounts of stamina to activate his Wood Giant technique, which combined his Devil Fruit ability with Life Return to enlarge his body and boost his strength.

But this was a burst-type transformation—it wasn't sustainable.

With each clash, the overwhelming force drained his stamina, causing his giant form to shrink.

At first, Jon had been close to 30 meters tall.

After several exchanges, he had already shrunk below 25 meters.

The change was subtle, but Katakuri had noticed it.

Jon's Order to Retreat

"Gion! Get everyone out of here!"

Jon shouted toward the warship.

Even though the ship was heavily damaged, it could still move—they had a chance to escape.

"No!"

Gion refused immediately.

How could she abandon Jon and flee?

Suddenly, White stepped forward.

"Captain Gion, at this moment, we should follow Commander Jon's orders. If we stay, we'll only hold him back. He's already made his decision—we should respect it."

Gion's eyes turned red with frustration.

"How can we just leave him behind?!"

White sighed.

"This is the best option. I'm not afraid to die… but I don't want all of us to die for nothing. If we stay, we won't help—we'll just get in the way. BIG MOM is far beyond our level."

Gion clenched her fists.

"But this is the ocean. If Jon—if he goes down, he can't escape!"

Jon was a Devil Fruit user.

If he fell into the sea, he was done for.

"This is war. No one gets special treatment."

White's voice was heavy.

As a seasoned soldier, he had seen countless deaths.

This was just another battlefield.

Gion bit her lip hard, then shouted in anger:

"Retreat! Full speed ahead!"

As the warship began to flee, Jon finally felt some relief.

He turned back toward BIG MOM, preparing to attack again—

But in the next second, his entire body froze in shock.

BOOM!

A massive lightning bolt struck down from Zeus, directly hitting the escaping warship.

In an instant, the entire vessel shattered into pieces.

Jon's eyes turned red with rage.

"Shit—!"

Without that ship, most of the crew was doomed.

The sheer fury and killing intent in Jon's expression was palpable.

His gaze locked onto BIG MOM, burning with murderous rage.

BIG MOM's Ruthless Destruction

"Mama! Mama!"

BIG MOM laughed maniacally.

She had always been violent and bloodthirsty—killing, pillaging, and destroying entire villages was second nature to her.

Even while fighting Jon, she had kept one eye on the navy ship.

The moment they tried to escape, she immediately struck them down.

After all, these were the people who tried to stop her from getting her precious sweets.

And for that, she wouldn't let a single one of them live.
