One Piece: My code name is Green Bull

Chapter 83: Future Yonko · BIG MOM

A flying Charlotte Linlin was truly a devastating force—especially in the boundless sea. If she destroyed their pirate ship, Jon and his crew would be left with no option but to wait for death.

To prevent this from happening, Jon had to come up with a plan—either make it to land or stop Charlotte Linlin.

"Can we push the warship to go any faster?"

Gion shook her head. "No, we're already at maximum speed. Any faster, and we'll lose control, which could lead to an accident."

"An accident? Don't worry about it. Tell them to push the ship as fast as it can go. I'll monitor the situation and use my abilities to prevent any mishaps."

The weather was stable for now, and the worst that could happen was the ship capsizing. But Jon wasn't concerned about that—his ability allowed him to create trees, and in an emergency, he could stabilize the ship if it tilted.

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure. Those accidents are nothing. But if BIG MOM catches up, that's truly the worst-case scenario."

Under Jon's command, the warship accelerated again. However, the sudden increase in speed made the ship feel unstable, causing anxiety among the crew.

After a while, Jon's expression grew heavier. Even with their increased speed, Charlotte Linlin was still closing in at an alarming rate. At this pace, she would catch up in no time.

"Are we not going to make it?"

The nearest island was still far away. Based on their respective speeds, they would likely be caught before they could reach land.

"Faster! Push it even faster!"

The warship was already at full power, but they pushed on for another several minutes.

"She's here."

By this time, Jon had calmed his nerves. Staring at the sea behind them, he could already sense Charlotte Linlin's overwhelming presence—and not just hers. He also detected the presence of two others.

"Gion, tell everyone to get ready."

"Understood. I'll have everyone prepare for battle immediately."

Jon sighed. "Battle? There's no way we can fight. I meant get ready to escape. I'll try my best to hold off BIG MOM—find an opportunity to get away."

"No way!" Gion immediately protested. "Absolutely not! How can we just run away?"

"Enough. There's no time to argue. They're already here."

Just as Jon finished speaking, before anyone could respond, the distant horizon was suddenly illuminated by flashes of lightning and rolling thunder.

"BIG MOM is here. Prepare for the worst. Everyone, get your diving gear ready—if things go south, escape through the sea."

"Jon, do you really have so little confidence?"

Hearing Jon immediately plan for retreat, Kaji, his vice-captain, frowned. Though he was young and inexperienced, he knew how dangerous BIG MOM was. Still, he hadn't expected Jon to consider running before even attempting to fight. Jon's order made him doubt his leadership.

Jon, however, had no choice.

Among the future Four Emperors, Charlotte Linlin was the first to rise to power. Even as a child, she was a walking disaster, feared even by the World Government. Unlike Kaido, who was still growing in strength and hadn't yet reached his peak, Charlotte Linlin was already among the most powerful pirates in the world.

Right now, she was one of the strongest pirates, second only to the Three Great Legendary Pirates. Her terrifying destructive power and flight capabilities made her an unstoppable force. If Sengoku or Garp were here, they might have had a chance to suppress her.

But Jon and his crew? They were nowhere near that level yet.

Being called cowardly by Kaji didn't bother Jon. He stood by his decision. Now was not the time to argue—his priority was ensuring his crew survived.

"Commander Jon, we've spotted the enemy! The enemy has been sighted!"

Thanks to Jon's earlier warning, the crew had been keeping a close watch on the designated direction. Soon, they spotted a fast-moving figure amid the storm clouds—Charlotte Linlin.

Immediately, everyone turned their gaze toward the sky. Soon, they saw the massive thundercloud rapidly approaching.

"So it was true…"

Kaji and the others were stunned.

Jon had repeatedly warned them that Charlotte Linlin was flying after them, but they had been skeptical—how could Jon sense her presence so clearly from such a distance?

Now, seeing it with their own eyes, they had no choice but to believe it. Charlotte Linlin was truly flying.

"There are three of them—one is a giant-sized woman, and the other two are men."

Soon, they identified the other two figures—Katakuri and Perospero.

"How much longer until we reach land?" Jon asked.

"At least twenty minutes."

Jon nodded. "Then we just have to hold on a little longer. But be prepared."

Hardly anyone could defend against an airborne Charlotte Linlin. If not for Jon's incredible Observation Haki, they wouldn't have even seen this coming.

Unlike Jon, Charlotte Linlin didn't bother overthinking things—she immediately launched an attack as soon as she got close.

"Weiguo!" (Mighty Nation!)

Charlotte Linlin was not yet forty, but her body had already expanded into a monstrous, obese giant. Her face was grotesquely twisted, making her look even more menacing.

Behind her stood Katakuri and Perospero, calmly observing the battle. If she had been in one of her berserk rampages, even her own children wouldn't have dared to stand so close.

The moment Charlotte Linlin spotted the warship, she didn't hesitate—she removed Napoleon, the twin-horned hat she wore on her head, and transformed it into a gigantic sword.

This was one of her most powerful Homies.

Despite still being a great distance away, Charlotte Linlin raised Napoleon high and swung it down without hesitation.

Instantly, a massive shockwave of sword energy tore through the air, heading straight for the warship.

"Enemy attack!"

A wave of panic spread across the warship. Most of the sailors had gathered on deck, and nearly all of them saw the incoming attack.

"We can't let that hit the ship!"

Jon roared, instantly activating his ability. He fired multiple air bullets using Finger Pistol (Shigan), rapidly launching them into the sea ahead.

In a split second, green sprouts emerged from the impact points, growing into three massive wooden slabs standing upright on the ocean surface.

This was the sturdiest wood Jon could currently produce. But even then, he wasn't confident it could fully withstand BIG MOM's attack—so he moved to the stern of the ship, preparing for a second layer of defense.

Meanwhile, Kaji and the others could only watch helplessly. Unlike Jon, they had no long-range attacks or defensive abilities. If the sword energy struck, they could either try to block it directly or dive into the sea to evade it.

The colossal slash descended rapidly, crashing against Jon's wooden barricades.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

A triple impact rang out. Even though Jon's wooden slabs were incredibly tough, they were shattered instantly. The devastating shockwave continued toward the warship, undeterred.

As the attack closed in, Jon remained calm.

He raised both hands, palms outward. In his open palms, a green seed began to sprout…
