One Piece: My code name is Green Bull

Chapter 78: The Special Ability of Observation Haki

Under Jon's control, the twenty massive wooden golems launched a simultaneous attack on Katakuri.

If it had been just one golem, Katakuri could have easily dodged and counterattacked. But with twenty attacking at once, even though they weren't particularly agile, their sheer numbers and overwhelming offensive power put immense pressure on him.

Katakuri had no choice but to calm his emotions, pushing his Observation Haki to its limit while focusing on dodging and countering the relentless attacks.

However, with twenty golems surrounding him, even with his exceptional reflexes, there were moments when he simply couldn't avoid getting hit.

Fortunately, Katakuri had already mastered Armament Haki. So, while he took several hits, they only caused minor injuries, not enough to significantly affect his combat ability.

Jon, on the other hand, wasn't having an easy time either.

Controlling twenty golems at once was incredibly taxing, even for someone with his strong mental fortitude.

Not only did he need to maintain control over all twenty golems, but he also had to search for Katakuri's weaknesses and find opportunities to strike—a level of multitasking that required complete concentration.

The battle between Jon and Katakuri was so intense that it was just as impactful as the thousand-man skirmish happening elsewhere.

The Battle Between Marines and Pirates

This time, the BIG MOM Pirates had come to conquer Loz Kingdom, confident in their ability to secure an easy victory.

However, they hadn't sent their entire fleet—only Katakuri and Perospero, leading a division of elite pirates.

Although these forces were strong, they were matched against Marine elites like Gajic, Pebberton, and Gion, preventing them from gaining any advantage.

In fact, the Marines were steadily gaining the upper hand.

Jon was pressuring Katakuri, while Gajic, Pebberton, and Gion were tearing through the enemy ranks. The BIG MOM Pirates' subordinates simply couldn't match the Marines' discipline and training.

While Perospero, BIG MOM's eldest son, was strong, he wasn't on the same level as Katakuri.

Despite his Lick-Lick Fruit powers and his elite upbringing, he was still being held in check by Gajic, preventing him from leading the pirates effectively.

The Difference Between Marines and Pirates

This battle clearly highlighted the difference between Marines and Pirates.

The Marines were a trained, organized military force.

The Pirates, even within a powerful crew like BIG MOM's, were undisciplined.

Without leaders giving orders, the pirates fought chaotically, unable to coordinate their attacks.

With both Katakuri and Perospero occupied, the remaining pirate officers couldn't maintain order.

As a result, the Marines gradually overwhelmed them, pushing the pirates back.

While the battle wasn't completely one-sided yet, at this rate, the BIG MOM Pirates were doomed to lose.

Loz Kingdom's Reaction

Back in Loz Kingdom, the royal court was in shock.

"What?! The Marines are actually holding off the BIG MOM Pirates?!"

Neither King Loz nor his ministers had believed that Jon's Marine forces could stand a chance against such a terrifying Yonko crew.

But the reality was far beyond their expectations.

Not only had the Marines successfully held the line, but they had even gained the advantage, forcing the pirates into a defensive position.

"Your Majesty, should we take this opportunity to assist the Marines?"

The king and his son exchanged uncertain glances.

They had opposed joining forces with the Marines earlier.

If they rushed to help now, wouldn't that be admitting their mistake?

Prince Loz scoffed, "Father, we shouldn't interfere. Even if the Marines win this battle, who's to say the BIG MOM Pirates won't return? If we attack now, they'll definitely hold a grudge against us."

The king hesitated.

He wanted to act, but he feared the consequences.

Having ruled over a peaceful kingdom for so long, he lacked the decisiveness to make tough choices in moments of crisis.

In the end, he followed his son's advice, unwilling to fully commit to either side.

Jon's Frustration

Even after summoning twenty golems, Jon still couldn't end the fight quickly.

This frustrated him immensely.

Katakuri might have been young, but his strength was undeniable.

His combat skills and Devil Fruit mastery were highly refined, though Jon could tell that his fruit hadn't awakened yet.

Jon's eyes turned cold.

"I don't have time to waste on you."

Although Jon was pressuring Katakuri, defeating him outright wouldn't be easy.

Katakuri had insane endurance.

His physical resilience was exceptional.

And Jon couldn't maintain twenty golems forever—his mental stamina was being drained rapidly.

It was time to end this.

Katakuri's Growth

At the beginning of the fight, Katakuri had struggled against the twenty golems, taking multiple hits.

However, he adapted quickly.

Despite getting hit, he had never fallen—his body could endure an incredible amount of damage.

But what shocked Jon the most was Katakuri's rapid improvement.

He wasn't just fighting—he was using the battle to refine his Observation Haki.

As he dodged the golems' attacks, his Observation Haki grew even sharper.

Then, for a brief moment, Katakuri felt something different.

He saw the future—not through normal preemptive dodging, but through true foresight.

Katakuri's heart leapt with excitement.

He could feel himself improving.

Even though he kept getting hit, he wasn't angry—instead, he became even calmer.

The Unexpected Voice

Just as he was about to push his Observation Haki further, a voice suddenly rang in his ear.

"Left."

Without thinking, Katakuri dodged right—

BOOM!

A golem's fist smashed him directly, sending him flying.

Slamming into the ground, he tried to dodge again, but the voice returned.

"Above."

As soon as he looked up, another massive wooden fist slammed into him.

Like a ragdoll, he was battered mid-air by relentless strikes.

Katakuri's face twisted in frustration.

Taking a few hits was one thing—he could handle pain.

But the voice in his ear…

That voice was disrupting his calm mindset, making it impossible to focus.

His Observation Haki weakened significantly.

Without it, he couldn't dodge as effectively, leading to him getting hit even more.

For the first time in this fight, Katakuri was losing control of his own body.

Jon, seeing Katakuri's frustrated expression, smirked coldly.

"So… even a genius like you has weaknesses."
