Arthur killed the two fools who didn't know their place and immediately headed into a fancy restaurant by the roadside to fill his growling stomach.

This restaurant was connected to a bar, and it was packed with customers, creating a lively and noisy atmosphere.

There were Pirates, Bounty Hunters warily eyeing each other, and merchants who had come to Ergo to purchase fine wine, all sorts of people.

But the instant Arthur entered, almost all the Pirates and Bounty Hunters put down their drinks and began to discreetly prepare for a confrontation.

A few of the bolder Bounty Hunters even pulled out his Bounty poster right in front of him—carefully comparing it.

"Burp!" Arthur swallowed a piece of meat, picked up his wine glass, and took a couple of gulps, his gaze casually sweeping over these people.

Most of the unarmed merchants, sensing that the atmosphere was off, quickly paid their bills and left, fearing they would be caught up in the impending fight. Those who remained were almost all interested in Arthur's head.

"Looking for my head? After I finish eating and drinking—a little warm-up will be good for digestion."

Arthur devoured the food and wine. His stomach seemed to have become a bottomless pit. The table was already piled high with empty plates.

——

"Captain, the two men we sent have been killed. When their bodies were discovered... they were charred." A Pirate with a red, bulbous nose rushed onto the Pirate ship docked at the port and shouted to Vasco Shot.

"Burp..." Letting out a belch, Vasco Shot woke up from his drunken stupor.

He was a comical-looking man, wearing a circus clown hat, with a flushed, drunken face. His nose was particularly prominent, like a sausage, and he carried a huge wine gourd on his back.

"Gulp, gulp, drinking is the best... What did you say? Someone was killed?" he asked, dazed and slow to react.

"Captain, that's not the point..." The bulbous-nosed Pirate hurriedly took out a Bounty poster, displaying Arthur's face.

"The one who killed them is this Lightning Master, Seabury D. Arthur, a great Pirate with a Bounty of 300 million on his first issuance. He's eating in the restaurant on the island right now!"

"Gulp, gulp, burp... Just a lucky brat who got the Rumble-Rumble Fruit. Alright, let's go meet him and then set sail!" Vasco Shot turned his head, squinted at the open sea, and staggered down the Pirate ship.

The bulbous-nosed Pirate led the way, heading towards the restaurant where Arthur was.

At the same time, on the sea outside Ergo, a Marine warship appeared silently.

——

"Hey! Look at this, now my enemies are all over the place. These good-for-nothing Pirates and Bounty Hunters who are after money and fame—Vasco Shot, and Kizaru's group out at sea!" Arthur put down his wine glass, feeling a slight headache.

The presence of people on the warship appearing on the open sea was naturally detected by him immediately.

Without realizing it, he seemed to have become a public enemy, as if the whole world was against him. This showed how useful the World Government's Bounty posters were. This was also their brilliance, using no soldiers to make others work for them.

"Interesting. This is the life I want, full of passion!" Arthur slowly stood up, giving the Pirates and Bounty Hunters in the restaurant, who had been ready for a long time, a big smile.

"Hey, you've been waiting impatiently. Why don't you come up and try to kill me? You seem a little scared?" His smile was somewhat sarcastic and disdainful.

"Clang!!"

"Clang!"

"Clang!!"

Arthur's arrogant attitude provoked the Bounty Hunters, who drew their swords one after another.

"Seabury D. Arthur, with a Bounty of 300 million Belly! If we take your head, we'll have endless money to spend. Surrender!"

"Surrender? Sorry, I don't have that habit!" Arthur's smile remained, his eyes indifferent. Lightning flickered in his hand, and a Lightning Spear formed, slowly appearing in his grasp.

"Hmm?" Suddenly, he looked towards the door—

"Bang!"

A gunshot rang out. The Bounty Hunter who had just spoken fell straight to the ground. His entire head had been blown to smithereens, blood splattering everywhere.

Vasco Shot blew on his flintlock pistol outside the door, then took another big swig of wine.

"Gulp! Gulp! Gulp! You damn Bounty Hunter fools, don't mind if I kill you, right? Seabury D... Arthur? Burp!"

The death of the Bounty Hunter shocked the rest of the people in the restaurant. They all rushed forward. Arthur and Vasco Shot, however, ignored them.

"I don't mind. So—are you here to die too?" Arthur raised an eyebrow and asked.

"Don't tell me you haven't noticed the Marines. If you had that little awareness and still dared to rob the Heavenly Tribute, you probably wouldn't be alive now." Vasco Shot slurred, drunk.

Arthur heard this and couldn't help but re-evaluate this comical-looking big drunkard.

He had always thought he had overestimated him, but it turned out he had underestimated him!

"You mean, we should join forces against the approaching Marines?" Arthur rested the Lightning Spear on his shoulder, his expression blank.

"Gulp! Gulp! Gulp! That's right. The Marines are probably coming for you, right? If they capture you, they definitely won't let me go. How about it?" Although Vasco Shot looked drunk on the surface, he was clearer in his heart than anyone.

However...

"Hahaha!" Arthur suddenly covered his forehead, laughing wildly. "Are you kidding me? Joining forces with you? Don't say such things, or I'll slaughter you!"

Vasco didn't know Arthur's purpose in setting sail.

What did Arthur set sail for? Freedom—Passion, and Excitement!

If he died today, he could only blame himself for not being strong enough.

It was his destiny to die.

Joining forces with others against the enemy? Didn't that mean he thought he was weaker than the opponent?

Such an idea would never appear in Arthur's mind.

Even if he faced Whitebeard, Arthur would choose to fight alone—rather than relying on schemes or joining forces with others to decide victory or defeat. Even if he was beaten to death by Whitebeard—he would say, "Well fought!"

This was Arthur's Pride.

He wouldn't allow anyone to defile it.

Did you say he was conceited, proud, and unruly? Then congratulations, you are correct!!

"Hey, looks like I missed a good show?"

Kizaru sauntered in from the side of the restaurant, still smoking a cigarette. Vice Admiral Tsuru and the sad-faced CP0 agent followed closely behind.
